At this moment in time the brawny charcoal figure swooped his way through the dust of the Dragon's Throat, scouring everything he could in order to familiarise himself with his new home. It had not been long before he managed to chuck Ranjiri and that dreadfully mundane Sikeax, and now he was off exploring, ready to keep a mental picture in his brain of the map of his homeland should it ever come in useful for offensive strategies, or for his own gain... The hell boy had come out at the peak of the day, where the sun was high in the sky and its rays shone down on his handsome bodice, keeping the fire within his frame burning as much as the sun itself was. He basked in the sun that was fast heating up now, on its way to showing the earth what the wrath of Tallsun would do to it.

And as he peeked through his blazing pools, Abaddon pierced through a malicious smile as he thought about the damage heat and fire would do. A creature need only look at his own burnt skull to see just how easy it was to melt away the flesh and muscle. The ebony brute shook away some of the dust that had settled on him and watched as specks of grains fly away from his thick tassles. And he began to walk once more. He was simply a satellite for his device, mapping out the land,

"With this I will have the power of knowledge..." his dark voice spoke out loud to the emptiness. He was in a good mood right now which was something that any creature could be thankful for, for his positive side was no more positive than the darker side of any psychiatric patient. But as he wandered further, he wondered to himself whether there was anybody in this godforsaken land that was like him, that could connect to him, the way he had seen with his fellow members in his old cult. He had never been part of that, but knew what such a connection would bring - power.

”With what?”

Was the current thought that passed through Ghost’s mind when she caught a random sentence spoken by a stranger.

He was big, dark and had a crown of horns. It wasn’t like he was easy to miss as he struck a stark contrast between his overall obsidian abode against the vibrant desert backdrop. Much like Ghost, for that matter. Along with all that muscle and hair he gallivanted about like a big kid on an adventure, probably made up in his head, with an interesting looking scar down one side of his face. It looked like a burn mark and the banshee shuddered. Why would anyone ever want to get that close to the flame? She thought back to what she had head. Power? Knowledge? What was he on? He sounded like some evil antagonist boasting his strength to anyone who was near enough to hear it. Or perhaps she wasn’t meant to hear it. She considered flying on and leaving him to it, he seemed quite happy down there by himself, he might get mad if she destroyed his mood. Yet, Ghost had pledged to herself to meet as many herd mates as possible so she steeled herself and altered her course.

Diving down from her position above, she went to land in front of him, feeling rather small in the face of his brutish appearance and her dark gaze lingered on his scar. Really, how did he manage that? She looked around again, perhaps he had been talking to a companion of sorts, but she failed to find one.

Finally she spoke, deciding that her silence was probably becoming increasingly disturbing the longer she said nothing "knowledge is a great thing, if you know how to use it" her eerie voice challenged him, a small smile playing on her lips. Perhaps this was a bad idea, if she provoked him then what was she going to do? Wasn’t she meant to be making friends of these horses? Yet, she couldn’t help herself from saying what was really on her mind and her tongue betrayed her better judgement.

"You look like someone with history" she prompted and prodded away, looking for something interesting under all that exterior. "I’m Ghost, who are you?" her eyes strayed across his well carved body.

His mind was drawn to other things. He never noticed the charcoal fae that had somehow been missed on his radar and 'swooped' down to be next to him. It was perculiar, the hell boy thought, that such a dainty creature would wish to be next to such a brawny thug-like character, especially with such a mangled skull. She spoke with a tedious amount of curiosity to which the blackened mammoth could only loll his orbs before her appearance and take in what was being said. As he remembered before, it was a good job that she had found him on such a good day, even if it was so bright that he could rip out his orbs and not feel a bit different - he hated the sun and all of its natural light, it was best to for the heat and to burn. Ha, burn...

His voice was deep and rumbling as he turned his poor skull around to her, soaking in her pretty figure. She was not an ugly creature, quite the opposite; with ruby and ivory dipped wings atop a blackened bodice that also bore a horn was quite the sight, even for a creature lacking such emotion as a keen eye for attractive beasts. He spoke to her, his tone unusually polite for the nasty bastard he was:

"Nothing gives me greater pleasure than knowledge, well, nothing much else..." his orange pools fired up as his voice hinted towards far more sinister things in that wretched brain. He thought of all the things that he could be doing other than mapping out his territory and speaking with one of the herd, but he assumed that all crimes within the territory were most likely accompanied with severe penalties. "And I like to think I know exactly how to use it." His orbs turned even playful at this point, only the term playful would have been more relevant if he was playing with the devil himself. Abaddon knew nothing more than what he had been brought up with, and none of that bettered him in the land of do-gooders he had entered. He was a black sheep of a new world, far more than his old world had. He was a dark predator lurking in the shadows and needing the god of the Sun on his side to do merciless things to inferior creatures...

You look like someone with history.

Those words allowed the brute to smile at the stranger with a knowing expression, "I have plenty of history," and he tipped his crowned cranium towards her to shine the light on his half-healed wound, "This is the moment my history becomes a physical reminder, but it doesn't bother me." And then she introduced herself, the dainty fae with the name Ghost. Even Abaddon could not keep in a faint laugh as he reciprocated, "What an ironic name for a creature of your colouring!" And then he shrugged with indifference as he allowed his own name to be heard, "I am Abaddon, a stranger to your herd but now a part of it. And someone who will be known soon, in time." His pools glowed with a dark serious side, as he assessed who he was dealing with here. She gave little away with made him assume that Ghost was perhaps ranked more than he first thought: "I wish to help with our herd and make it strong and powerful, and to make our neighbours' lives hell." Not before I make this a living hell, he thought with a knowledge of his own brain.

What would happen now? Would this creature stay and listen to him, perhaps even share on his words of power? From her first lexis that she uttered to him, Abaddon guessed that she herself may want power. And who better to access this power with than a creature sharing his homeland and with the power of flight...

Deception and perfection are wonderful traits

A crown and a scar; he did look a bit like an underworld Prince. When he spoke it rumbled from his mouth and it fit every inch of his well-toned body that towered over her. Yet, Ghost felt quite safe beside him, he could not fly whereas she could and the sprite placed her trust in that. That and they shared the same herd. However, a humourous smile couldn’t be prevented from forming on her lips when he replied to her curiosity and her head tilted to one side. Clearly he had little knowledge of fire looking at the burn on his face, or perhaps he had that knowledge now it was well and truly branded onto his features. He had the bearing of someone who liked to assert instead of hide and the banshee began to wonder what purpose he had to be in this herd. Because everyone had a purpose, even if they didn’t know it and Ghost found great pleasure in weeding it out of everyone she met. It didn’t work all the time of course, if it did she might still be a Czarina, but that lesson was a learnt one. Perhaps she understood this stallion’s love for knowledge more than she let on.

”Like how not to play with fire” she dared with her assumption and her eyes roved over his scar. Assumptions were oft thought quite rude and, although Ghost agreed, were also often the route to the answers of ones curiosity. For if one assumed the wrong answer then her object of desire would surely correct her with the right one, lest they risk their life to be told falsely. That or they knew how to play the game and let said assumer assume as they please. Then it became a little more interesting… Or boring, Ghost frequently thought it could swing either way. This one had her interest, however, and she played some more. ”It looks very… Intense she commented when he showed her the scar fully in the light. ”It adds to your character” she concluded with a playful flick of her tail, as if she was judging a beauty contest.

Her head drops to look at her coat after and Ghost laughs ”my dam thought she was funny” she shrugs. She wasn’t of course.

Abaddon. A bad ‘un huh? Easy enough to remember; he was hardly unremarkable after all.

She drank his final words and her lips began to curl once again. He sounded like he was about to play the war drums now and march across the desert. ”Impressive aspirations, are you a warrior of this herd?” she asked, he sounded like a warrior or an aspiring demon. ”I’m interested to see how you will make a herd that has not seen war for seasons stronger, but then again… It’s not without weakness” The whole reason Ghost came to the searing south was because of its current track record in reliable stability; although this one appeared hell bent on changing that.

”What an interesting creature you are” she commented with a smile, perhaps they could be friends or, well, allies… there wasn’t much difference. ”I’m new here too, I joined the spies although I haven’t found them yet” she let the sigh slip into her voice, rewarding him with information about herself before she paused rather abruptly, remembering Ampere’s greeting. ”You’re not sick are you?’ she asked with a wrinkle of her nose.

The silence between the two at this moment in time was not uncomfortable. To the ebony brute, it was a simple respect for his own ferocious attitude. He had no respect, yet for the little creature that had almost quite literally flown into his life. But that was not to be discriminate towards her. Abaddon had no respect for any creature, not even his old bretheren. And he watched with fiery pools intently as she gazed at him with her dark cranium tilted to the side, perhaps to drink in more of his features. In terms of indivudality, the only thing that made him stand out from any creature of his physique and pelt hues was the horrendous fire mutilation on the right side of his skull.

And then she piped up with:

Like how not to play with fire.

It made the hell boy gaze at her with a squint of something unrecognisable, and a dark grin split itself over his charcoal velveteens. She dared. And Abaddon let out a small chuckle that a dainty creature as the fae would even consider such a move. Now that took balls. Did she not realise she was playing with fire? And this was the reason Abaddon was starting to like Ghost. Her words were both an attempt at what seemed like complimenting and a daring attempt at digging her way through his rhinoceros hide of no emotions. To this he shifted the weight over from one side of his stocky pillars to the other, and he in turn tilted his once handsome skull towards her,
"This," he moved his scar towards the midday rays to let it light up the grotesque feature, "Is what happens when you fight fire with fire," and then he let a deep rumble within his chest before reciprocating towards her tak of character, "The only character it adds to is the one that everybody sees without my need to even justify it..." His pools were dark with the thoughts of murder and blood. His characteristics and vivid thoughts of such dark things were not of his own making, but of the cult he had been born into. No one in that place had been saved from that life, from that attitude. But to Abaddon it was all he knew, and this he played to his advantage in whatever situation he found himself in.

And his own words of Ghost's ironic name was answered with a shrug and talk of a mother. He replied with an indignant grunt and a quiet deep tone, "She sounds like quite the comedian..." His sarcastic reply would usually not go down quite so well - nobody likes to have their dam bad-mouthed. But he grinned with a dark playful smirk, waiting to see if the dame would bite. He hoped so, just waiting to see how far he could push her.

...Are you a warrior of this herd?

Not yet, he thought with a small glitter of hope. His brain wandered in the dark corners, imagining his dark pelt against the background of fire and smoke, throwing himself into other creatures and watching their bodies writhe in pain as he sucked the life out of them. The pool of blood would swelter and bubble as it ebbed the life out of the creature whose veins it used to inhabit. Such images seemed like the magic of being alive to Abaddon. It was his version of heaven...
But his mind was instantly draw back as Ghost continued,

I'm interested to see how you will make a herd that has no seen war for seasons stronger, but then again... It's not without weakness.

Her words spoke spoke with curled velveteens that gave the blackened brute the impression she was starting to bite as he spoke his aspirations. But was this a ploy to see how much information she could gain about him and his intentions? He did not mind this from a fellow herdsman, "I intend to be a warrior and to fight when needed," his deep voice rang with a hint of severe longing, "You speak of peace as if it is the end of all wars. But it never is. No war is ever over, it simply takes a rest while those who fight and die in it gain their strength to fight once more, and I intend to help this herd recruit more soldiers into the ranks for when it begins once more..." In his twisted idea of reality, his words made ultimate sense. They were the pinnacle of his existence. If there was peace, what would he do to entertain himself?

What an interesting creature you are.

Ghost's words were something that had never been spoken to Abaddon before in an approving manner. This he liked about the creature. What a creature. And what an ally he could make of the winged fae. Her talk of being new did not interest him near as much as talk of Ghost being a spy in the Dragon's Throat ranks. A spy, "And tell me, how able do you think you are as a spy?" It was a genuine question sprouting from his lips. He was intent to see how much she could bring to the herd, and how well she was able to do it. He smiled with an approving look from his orange-red pools, something that most creatures had never seen from the hell boy before, and then he chuckled as he replied to her last utterance, "Only in the mind, Ghost..." Even this he could not deny. So why hide it?

She watched him breathe, the way he shifted and the look he bared in his eyes. He was certainly intimidating, his size gave him that, but there was something else… Something dark and brooding, almost vacant, maybe it was the scar on his face or the boom in his voice; the sprite couldn’t tell, but it captivated her attention and kept her listening with keen ears. She liked him, he was odd and funny, the banshee felt like she could pick at his words for hours and not get bored. The more she picked the more she knew and the more he seemed to become more like a brutish warrior who only knew how to fight; both with his body and his words. There was mirth in the sprite’s gaze as he replied to her every comment in a rumbling baritone, matching his brawny physique, that delivered the fight and the fire. She turned his words over in her mind, the challenge still in her expression ”hmm well-“ she paused, looking at the scar as he dazzled his maimed glory in the sun ”one could either think that you survived a great fiery battle … or that you’re an idiot who stuck his face into the flames” a smile appearing on her lips.

Her eyes lingered a moment longer on his face before she shrugged again ”but I suppose that’s the mystery of the great Abbadon” she laughed. The banshee dropped the topic then in favour of not wanting to be trampled on by the stallion before her because, although Ghost was a proud creature herself, she had seen the size of his feet and she needn't be deterred any more than that.

”She was, her whole life was hilarious” she returned his sarcasm with more sarcasm. Ghost never tried to hide her animosity towards her dam, she didn’t hate Seiren, but she didn’t like her either. The grey mare had never stuck around long for Ghost to grow attached, but still long enough for the dagger marked mare to isolate her daughter from the world. Still, what had Seiren done better than her? Her dam had been a cowardly warrior… Ghost had been a Czarina; she had surpassed her mother long ago. If one was talking in terms of rank that was, Ghost had nothing on her mother’s twisted desires, that, the banshee could admire.

Her new brawny friend managed to draw a laugh from her lips as they descended into talk of aspirations and dreams. Folds of silky black mane fell to one side of her face as she tilted it to emphasize her interest ”ah peace, that I never spoke of” she smiled, but soon her mind turned to recent events and the problems with the world. ”I do not think peace exists here, but moments of relief do. Much like you said” she nodded ”I agree”. Ghost had been in a battle before and knew what it felt like to be on the losing side.

The conversation turned to her then and she felt some disquiet enter her composure, yet, he had shared his feelings and perhaps she should share a little of hers. Although, his question asked her to self-evaluate and Ghost struggled to put into words her thoughts on herself. ”Quite able” she summarized shortly before pausing, thinking about it some more ”a spy is only as valuable as the information they carry.” The sprite knew the price of not knowing all too well ”though I know little of this herd so far and the spies I am meant to be serving I have not found. Which means I have to improvise a little, without knowing the herd or its ambitions, but I get to have fun investigating fellow members” she laughed, turning to look at Abaddon ”like you”.

Finally, a look of relief filtered through Ghost’s body, other than the scar, there was nothing about the brute that looked alarmingly out of place. Still, one could never be too careful. ”Aren't we all, in one way or another” she laughed with him as he commented on the state of his mind. Though, looking at his marred face once again, she could believe that he didn't quite have all the screws in that brooding mind of his.

”You could say the world is a little... Faulty at the moment. Rifts keep appearing and evil Gods pass through them, despite our own Gods trying to stop them. Disease is also coming in with these rifts so I would recommend you remain vigilant, you may be an intimidating soldier, but I don’t think sickness really cares either way” she shivered, the thought of disease always made her skin crawl, there was nowhere to hide from disgusting boils and the like.

The evident curiosity from the feminine creature gave Abaddon no reason for concern. He wasn't bothered whatsoever, in fact, he was quite thrilled. It wasn't often that he was actually looked at. Most were already tailing and running away. And as she stared as his scars, the hell boy caught the words she spoke. He replied with a gruff manner, shrugging his brawny shoulders,
"This was a mark of my... failures... where I used to belong..." His pools grew dark with the memory of the burning embers scorching and melting his flesh, the smell of his dying skin. The charred remains of his former life had long since been eroded by the flames that scoured his cranium. And Ghost let out a smile, which Abaddon did not reciprocate fully.

...I suppose that's the mystery of the great Abaddon.

Now that did let a smile spread across his blackened velveteens, "The great Abaddon would be a rather becoming name when I truly deserve it." He let out a dark laugh with his fiery pools staring at his new friend's.

The sarcasm that seemed to drip of Ghost was enough to bathe oneself in, it was a truly astounding feat for such a... innocent looking creature. He paid no attention to her body language at this point and merely paid all attention to the words she spoke, "Some are born to raise children, others are born to think of their children as the makeshift joke," his eyes played with temptation, and his next words he filled with playful dark humour, "I don't think your mother succeeded in creating her little joker, though."

He hoped to have the same laugh out of the dark fae with his words as the one he drew out of her before. He watched as her charcoal tassles fell onto the side of her pretty skull and tilted it to one side, which Abaddon felt inclined to take interest in this line of conversation. He listened closely, smiling with a faint humour, before opening up his vocal cords, "When there's no true war there is only peace. Otherwise how quiet would this world be?" He sighed, "I don't think peace can really be a thing though, for someone is always going to try it on."

The quiet bodice of Ghost made Abaddon wonder what exactly he had said at this point to upset the creature when his previous attempts, both deliberate and accidental. But he continued in the same way, forever creating attempts to bite, and Ghost was ripe for the picking with her next small speech. She was quite a character for becoming a spy. However, he could also see that she may not quite be up to the job, but that was something he would not reiterate out loud. It was too early in the day to insult a new friend, even if this was Abaddon's friend. The blackened brute asked one simple question: "And do you think you're cut out for the job?" It was a blunt question which he then followed up with, "It's all in the method, Ghost. And spying on your herd members is one way to do it," with a dark smile on his lips and a serious look in the hues of his pools, he continued, "And I applaud you for even trying to investigate me. What you see is what you get, and not a lot of people get past what you see." Abaddon's velveteens warped into a wry smile and he chuckled with a knowing and sarcastic tone.

He shrugged and nodded in agreement as he then paid attention to the winged creature. The fae seemed to have calmed herself in his prescence and this was quite the first for the hell boy - he actually had someone standing there, what seemed like of their own accord and will. Without saying anything he tilted his cranium with a curious look in his pools as the wind picked up the thick black tassles of his mane and played with them. Even with the brightness of the midday sun, he had no anger within him. Only a dark curiosity and the mischief to match.

And then the topic spurred on to the talk of more chaos. And that was something he loved. As Ghost spoke Abaddon danced about on his daggers, shiftin his weight between the four. He then replied in a hefty and deep voice, "Chaos is the only thing I live for. And to hear of rifts and evil gods, it takes me back to my fantasies as a yearling, dreaming of the darkness. But you speak of disease, and that's something I don't wish to be a part of," he turned his skull down to the ground and mumbled, "Creatures can maim and kill at a steady rate, sickness and disease destroys herds like a snake shedding its skin..."

Deception and perfection are wonderful traits
One will breed love, the other hate

Her ears twitched and she listened to his stout replies with great interest. A snort was dragged from her nose and a wry smile pulled onto lips. Marks of failure; she knew a thing or two about those. Perhaps everybody possessed such marks and some just wore them more brazenly than others. Ghosts were hidden, his were etched into the crevices of his face, but she found she could understand him or at least the feeling. She doesn’t linger on the new piece of information long as she watches him rumble with dark laughter and Ghost wondered if one day she would hear the name Abaddon more frequently. Maybe he would grow into the great Abaddon or maybe he’d fall to the wayside and become a great tragedy instead. Time would make or break the man and the spy would much like to watch and see if this fire player could play his way to the top. He certainly had the character and Ghost felt herself begin to quietly root for him, though she found it quite amusing to picture him standing next to the Lord of Fire himself.

"No she didn’t, success wasn’t something she was good at" Ghost snorted in humour, perhaps if the grey mare had actually raised her child, then Ghost might be a little more sympathetic towards the rather unlucky unicorn. Yet, Seiren had been callus and ruthless, she had left her little Ghost to the wilds of the mountains and it was on those peaks that the sprite had honed her bitterness towards her dam. Mauja may have cast them out of the Worlds Edge, but her mother had ultimately cast her own daughter to the lonely wind to fend for herself. It was of no consequence now, however, the banshee had a herd and a duty, the past was not her future. "Perhaps" Ghost was already interested in the next part of the conversation, the cogs in her mind turning "from a warriors perspective, perhaps this is peace" she nodded. "I think the world more complex than that, I thought we had peace once…" she paused, thinking back to the battle for the Hidden Falls "until an army showed up on my borders. An army I did not expect, because I thought there was peace" she shrugged. It was true enough; she had not known the secrets behind Midas and the trouble that came with him.

"If peace is just a deceiving lull that only remains until prejudice and anger become greater than civility and compassion, what’s the point of war?" the words fell off her tongue with great thought, so much so that she wondered if she was getting a little deep for a first conversation and she quickly pulled herself from out of her own thoughts. That and maybe she was going a little off topic in her quest to find the answer for everything. "Other than beating up the idiots that piss you off" she laughed, it was light and bell-like, perhaps that was the real answer.

"Do you?" she asked when Abaddon questioned whether she was cut out for her job. By now Ghost knew herself quite well, she was good at lingering and listening, but not so good at initiation and being the centre of attention, which was why she was so fond of the shadows because they were things she could hide in. Though recently the banshee had been trying to improve herself, even when it discomforted her. The dark stallion manages to draw another short laugh from her maw and a half smile weaves onto her lips "that would be boring. Why would I not question the tall dark male with an interesting looking scar? A scar means a past and a past is a story, what is so obviously written on ones features is not always the whole tale" she paused, looking at him up and down "though clearly you are what you advertise" she finished with a snort.

She was glad to see he shared a similar opinion on the disease topic and she wrinkled her nose at the thought. "Perhaps you should seek these rifts and these new lands, from what I hear there is plenty of chaos to be had." The sprite looked at him in thought and, tentatively, she began to ask a favour of him "one day, perhaps, would you spar with me? I fought a stallion who was around your size once and lost, I would like to try again" she asked of him, hoping he would agree.

haha eh don't worry <3 I've been busy too D:

The hellboy was becoming as relaxed as his rigid personality would allow his bodice around the fae. His new friend seemed to take in little of the venom within his words and he respected that she probably did not give a damn, which was very rare when it came to the brute. Ghost twisted her dark velveteens into a vague smile, and he cocked his cranium to the right in reaction. The heat of the day lay over his own brawny bodice and created the blackened pelt to shine like onyx. The fire burning underneath his pelt was being met with the beautiful flame of Tallsun, and he was enjoying this situation. Ghost was the sort of creature Abaddon could have seen himself walking alongside, like the terrible twosome. And that almost frightened the big brute...

Ghost's words on her mother was followed by the snort of humour and indifference and Abaddon's fiery pools lit up with the chance to add more to the conversation on this matter:
"Mothers are simply the flesh that gives us life, it's then up to them whetther they follow through on the task," Abaddon snorted with humour, "And it seems yours was not cut out for it, but you turned out okay." This for the brute was the biggest compliment any creature would get out of him. And with his lobes hitched forward, he swerved his great carcass to one side in an almost scarily flirtatious manner to the fae, an evident reaction from a very masculine stag.
Their talk of peace was one that the charcoal brute could not quite grasp the concept of. But he was trying, and it gave an element of anger to the situation, "Peace is bullshit in any essence," and a grunt emunated in a deep bassy tone, "What sort of army?" His attention had been snapped up by a story of war, and hopefully, the torment that came with it. He was now all-ears and the story was more than going to satisfy his hunger for the war that had not yet come to start.

If peace is just a deceiving lull that only remains until prejudice and anger becomes greater than civility and compassion, what's the point of war?

It was a valid point for any creature that deemed sane enough to understand, but Abaddon was standing before the dark fae. What could the figure of everything that war was meant to be even understand anything other than it? Her deep and meaningful conversation physically impacted Abaddon, and he took one step back on his brawny pillars, letting the dust fly into the air around them. His neck arched and his velveteen curled unattractively, unable to think of a good answer. And so the hell boy let out the only truthful answer he could bestow on the winged dame: "War is something that some of us have the only knowledge about, and I have nothing else." His darker side came out in those words, the admission of his one and only expert field. It was true, Abaddon knew nothing other than what he brought up to believe, and he believed in war. But Ghost's next few words were tainted with humour and he realised that she was trying to lighten the conversation. But for this he openly spoke out to her, "No one has spoken like this to me, no one has ever gotten close." And with good reason, a sinister voice rang out in his brain. He had no friends, no attachments, and what he and Ghost were sharing now could be so easily severed.

Her light and feminine tones asked one simple question: whether he believed in her abilities as a spy. And again he was unable to answer. He silently rooted for the creature, knowing that she was going to be a marvellous addition and help to the herdlands he was attempting to make great with his acts of war. Ghost was going to be a key part in figuring out his enemy and slaughtering the ones she discovered were particularly dangerous. But he decided to keep this under wraps, for now...And his attention was brought back to the real world, out of his dark thoughts. He nodded to show that he believed in her skills and said nothing else, waiting for her own reply. The fae then begins to laugh, followed by words that humoured the dark brute. He reciprocated her small with his own dark smile. He then followed suit and replied with an even darker laugh and flung his huge feathered daggers into the hot sand, "Like I said, Ghost, what you see is what you get with me. My scar means everything that I am and for many that's too hard to handle. My story is something that no one delves into because they have no courage to even ask," his laugh continues into a bellowing rumble, his chest puffed out with the effort of trying to hide it, "And that's what makes me think you are cut out for the job. You have the courage to delve further past the story, even if I won't tell you, yet..." A wry smile was let out from his velveteens, egging Ghost on to reply. His burn wound was only the start.

Watching his new friend wrinkle her nose at the thought of disease, he too came over with a shiver that resulted in a physical shaking of the body in order to be rid of the thoughts, "These rift lands would an ideal place, but I feel I could cause enough damage in Helovia!" Another laugh sounded from his blackened chest and he pierced his gaze at Ghost with a fierce intent of making his point known. And then the smaller creature asked a favour of him that he was quite happy to agree to. Who would volunteer to get battered by a creature such as himself? A fool? "I will spar with you, Ghost. But you should prepare yourself," his tone turned dark as his words became quieter, almost hushed, "Maybe remember how it felt to lose, you might just need that when we're finished..."
