Having left yet another battle with nothing more to show for it other than a few minor burns it was easy to say the black hybrid was anything but pleased. It was always those special ones that took all the glory while everyone else was ignored or shoved out of the way. All of those brats that had been spawned by the gods themselves always prevailed while the rest of them suffered. It was infuriating and downright biased that's what it was! How did anyone expect to get ahead in the world when it was always them getting everything just because daddy was some supergod, favoritism at its finest. For anyone who believed it to just be luck they needed to get their head out of their ass and see what was actually happening. Touching down with a soft thump the girl took a minute to gaze around at this place she had called home for quite a few seasons so far. While the climate was not particularly pleasant for most of the population there were those odd ones that actually enjoyed living all the way up here in the middle of nowhere. To her it was the one place that she could escape the many numbskulls that paraded around the rest of the lands boring the rest of them nearly to death. The purest idiots that could ever live if you asked her.

Still mumbling to herself inaudibly about how corrupted the world was the mare tucked her feathers down to her sides and stalked on. A lash or two of her tail showed the girl's frustration while inside many ingenious plans cooked away just waiting to be carried out. Murdering them would not solve the problem as it would only make the God's turn on her when they discovered her to be the culprit, too bad the Moon Goddess had stopped murdering people at random for it could really be useful in such a situation. Messing with the all and mighty Gods was likely not the smartest idea but she had seen too much of their crap to believe in miracles anymore. You either needed to stand up and fight or give up and go crawl back under your rock.

By the time her feet stopped moving the hybrid found herself at the springs so she figured the hot water was too good to pass up. Ever since the battle had ended she had noticed the beginnings of what she assumed was a headache from the stress and exertion needed to fight. As the day had progressed the pain which would normally go away had begun to only intensify further to the point where any light seemed to be a hundred times too bright. Lowering her head to press her head against her leg as an attempt to relieve the pain only brought forth another more terrifying discovery as blood spilled down her cheeks creating streaks upon the stones. Each crimson droplet that fell before her left a sickening feeling in her gut, what in the hell had happened to her?

He is a man of intensity, brilliance, and strength; he is composed of magnificent things. His hound is similar- loyal and intelligent. Yet her, in the Aurora Basin, he is the lowest form of life, his bitch is regarded with more acceptance. His wings, they draw critical stares from crowds, judgement casted upon him like the golden rays of an Orangemoon sun. Is it worth it? The babes that kept him coming back were scornful towards him now. Their lustrous voices grew with aggression when he lingered. He wasn't sure if he could bare the life Aurora Basin entailed.

Stay... The word floated into his mind, eager and forceful. It had breached his mental barricade. His mind was no longer his own. The stallions silver eyes flared with a vibrant curiosity as he looked down at Henrietta, whom sat facing him with a toothy grin embellishing her lips. How..? He questioned back, unsure if she could hear him, if she would answer, if she even knew the answer. I Caleb companion. His dark brow furrowed at her broken language. They could communicate because they were bonded? He wouldn't question it further. Still, the intimacy of sharing his mind with another was a frightening thought. What did she know about him? Everything, she said. He couldn't fathom a response, stuck on the fact that she knew everything. All those times he had thought about intimacy and progeny and mares? Caleb, whom held a stoic facade, suddenly began chuckling, a deep and thunderous sound, masculine and raspy. Follow, he told his hound (through their bond), as he began walking towards another shadowy figure up ahead.

When they neared, he saw it was the same mare he fought the yeti with. The brute was in little mood to deal with mares that though him to be an imbecilic cretin. Still, he trudged closer to the thick-skulled mare, wondering if she had perhaps changed her mind of Caleb.

At a safe distance away, in case she decided to be irrational and attack or advance in any other ways, he halted. "G'day, compagno." The Italian word compagno wasn't much of a nickname, instead a generic word that applies to many. Comrade. But was she such? She seemed rather salty towards the black stallion, and he wasn't at all sure why. Perhaps such a question would be answered this evening.

"blah blah blah."

a cold-hearted man was once a man that once cared too much.

If she could wish for anything right now it would likely be for all the gods to die a horrible painful death for plaguing her with this illness. Hell she felt as if she was the one dying! Groaning softly she tried to will the pain away so that she might be able to do something other than sit around in agony. Whenever she managed to get rid of this she was going to make it her life goal to make the creator pay. If she had to lock him up in the Yeti's cave she would gladly do it or else he just might happen to fall off a cliff or into lava. She was good at planning ultimate doom plots for those she hated especially when it was to get back at them for something that they had done to her. Lifting her head slowly as she opened her eyes she looked down to see the rather worrying pools of blood in front of her. Had all that really come out of her ears? If she was dying of this illness it would be so worth it to make everyone's life as miserable as possible until the fateful time came. Hell, why was she waiting on this until she received a death sentence it sounded to appealing to wait until then.

Hoofbeats sounded behind her but her head hurt too much to bother to turn around and face whoever was approaching, they could walk around her if they really were that eager to speak to her. It wasn't until that voice hit her lobes that she broke that promise and turned to see Caleb standing there watching her. If he was here to bitch about something she was so not in the mood to deal with his obnoxious I know it all attitude. This had better be good she thought sourly lifting her head as much as she dared. "Caleb." She greeted blandly not wanting to think of anything clever to say at the moment. Pain was a rather strong motivator to not giving a shit about things and right now she had more than an excuse. "What brings you out here?" She asked squinting as the sun reappeared from behind the clouds to stare her in the face. While she hated showing any weakness in front of anyone it was rather difficult when her brain was barely functioning.

Bicoloured eyes swept over his frame before settling back to his face. Hmmmph she was surprised and slightly disappointed that the yeti hadn't left any permanent marks on the boy. Perhaps she might just have to have another conversation with him about how to treat those who act certain ways. Amused by the thought she managed a soft smile despite obvious discomfort.
