He reassured their minds by his serenity.
His countenance, wherein his soul was visible,
expressed contempt for danger.

Though night is just receding, fading out as the light of day creeps in, the air is already warming and the humidity leaves the atmosphere muggy. Stars seem to blink out of view, insects seem to quiet from their night-time songs though the Falls are hardly silent. The birds are waking, twittering and chirping their delight at the new day. In the background, a constant in an ever-changing world, is the gentle crashing and splashing of the waterfalls.

A new dawn. A new day.
Another disease. Another day spent healing the sick.

Yet this is what he lives for. The dunskin paint continues to comb through the Falls, eyes carefully looking over each and every being for signs of illness; one of which had a distinct and obvious presentation that his magic could cure. The newest disease, however, is much more difficult to discern at first glance with many of its symptoms manifesting internally. He, himself, suffers from the latter but his search for the cure isn't for himself. It's for the herd or, perhaps more accurately, for all of Helovia. With his massive wings tucked and folded neatly at his sides, he shifts into an easy trot and wanders the well-worn paths scattered throughout the territory.

So far, things are fairly quiet, even his companion has chosen to sit in her favorite tree to simply rest. Miykael relishes in the relative calm, taking full advantage of this moment of lessened burden to relax as much as he could with a nasty headache incessantly beating against his skull and a strange light sensitivity that had him squinting against the sharp rays of the dawning sun. At seemingly random intervals blood trickles from his ears, so far the only outwardly recognizable sign of this new disease. At the moment, old blood merely coats the hair beneath his ears - dark and crusty against his softer golden tones. The irritation value over the pain is quite large, though it does little to deter him from his course. Blue eyes, though pained, keep searching for those he can heal.

@Brisa, @Aeolus, and anyone else needing healing. :D
(I can also make another one for you, Nickel, so you don't have to put both of them in here. Or we could do them in shifts? Up to you!)

Many times the white mare had been close to death but never had she felt so much misery over something that had presented like a typical cold. Well she couldn't exactly call it typical considering the black goop that seemed to fill her lungs and leak from her eyes and nose. Of all the times she hated being so plain this would definitely be one of those times, black stood out plain as day on her typical white canvas making her look as if she had stuck her face into a mud hole. She had tried many things for the symptoms but so far nothing had worked or even managed to give her the tiniest amount of relief. For the pain she had tried using willow to at least manage it but it had not touched the discomfort, and no other herb she could think of would provide any relief. Just to top it all off she had been worried sick about her son not coming home the last night or two. Where could he be? Had something happened to him? Was he in danger? Many times she had tried to go look for him but each and every time she would see someone out and about causing her to turn back to prevent spreading this horrid condition. It was also extremely hard to look for anyone when she could not smell a single thing!

Another bought of coughing struck her suddenly bringing up more of the joyous black slime from deep within her lungs. There had to be something she could do to help get rid of this before she ended up keeling over, she was so not ready for that. Blue eyes caught movement nearby startling her from her thoughts as she backed up a couple steps should they decide to come near her. No she couldn't spread this to anyone, she would not wish it upon anyone. Miykael was the one to emerge from the brush at least bringing a familiar face instead of trying to explain this to a complete stranger that knew nothing of the latest diseases. " You might not want to come any closer. I don't want to give this to you." She commented with her voice harsh and raspy from the repeated coughing.

He wasn't alone for long but he heard her before he ever saw her. The coughing drawing him in, giving him a much more distinct direction and after only a few more moments, he slipped through the brush and saw her. The black goo stands out against the pale beauty of her face, causing him to successfully hold back a frown. Deeming it best to avoid invading her personal space overly much, he pauses before her and looks over her with the eyes of a healer. She has the lung disease, that much is clear, but instead of writing that off as her only ailment he searches for signs of other potential issues. From what he could tell, though, she appears to be suffering solely from the lung disease. She speaks but he simply brushes off the warning with a flick of his dark tail. "It's alright, Brisa." he soothes, his deep voice calm and confident.

With very little hesitation he moves closer, taking it one step at a time with little to no concern of the disease. For a brief moment, he's thankful they are shaded from the sun but the thought is brief and passes so quickly it barely registers. Once he's within a few feet of Brisa, he focuses on his magic - fighting hard against the awful, persistent ache in his head. The light forms into a ball and he directs it into her chest. There it expands, filling her chest and lungs with a soothing warmth. The light lingers until the darkness is obliterated and then it simply fades away into nothingness. He steadies himself, keeping his face as stoic as possible despite the increase of pain in his skull. He offers her a gentle smile, his expression as kind as it usually is. "How do you feel?" he asks, even though he is fairly confident of her answer. Over time he'd grown more confident in his magic as a cure for the disease and with Brisa being his nineteenth cure, he had very little reason to doubt. Regardless of the numbers, however, it still felt good to help and no matter how much pain he endures - he would do it all over again.

well, me — i fall in love with you every single day

It was almost as if she had never spoken at all for no sooner had Miykael appeared he was at her side speaking in a soothing voice. Had she not told him to stay away from her or was her voice really that bad that no one could actually understand her anymore? Either way it really didn't matter now for he was close enough to get it if he was going to. If he ended up coming down with this plague she was going to feel terrible for not being better at hiding herself away in order to protect everyone else. Another hacking cough tore at her lungs exhausting her of what little oxygen she could manage to take in. Ok she was so done with this crap and if it meant tracking the god down herself that is exactly what she would do.

Cautiously she watches the stallion approach seemingly completely unconcerned about the black crap spilling from her eyes and nose. If it was her, she would have likely headed the warning and kept her distance until she knew it was really safe. It didn't even occur to her that it had been Miykael helping so many others to heal from the horrid disease. She should have placed two and two together but feeling like she was nothing came easily to her brain at the moment.

Turning her attention back to Miykael she flicks her ears back as a ball of what appeared to be light passed into her. What in the hell? Before she can say anything she can feel an immediate warmth flooding through her chest seemingly taking whatever illness with it slowly began to fade. Opening her eyes to the stallion's words she is in complete amazement that oxygen is now able to flow freely through her lungs as if nothing had ever happened. "How?... What did you do? I mean... I..Thank you. " She commented stumbling over her own words out of surprise. Enjoying the warmth and soothing relief from the aching pain that had once been deep in her chest she doesn't manage to feel her own magic crawling up through her veins until it was too late. The familiar blue fire ignites across her skin with an added kick sending the flames swirling into the air around her. Gasping she mentally reaches out to smother the burning fire before she can cause anymore damage. Jumping backwards she manages to extinguish the flames but what had she done? " Miykael!. I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to.. Are you ok? Please tell me you are ok." She said concern clouding her previous happiness at being rid of her own illness.

Reaching out her muzzle tentatively she stops herself out of fear of her magic deciding to go haywire once more. This was the exact reason she had tried to keep it hidden from her son, she was a danger to him and apparently to everyone else. Something about the light hitting her must have awakened the existing flame of her own magic in some random mayhem. Now she would feel even worse should the pegasus come down with anything or have injuries related to this incident. It would just figure that she had to manage to screw something up yet again.

Feels immediate relief from GLL before her own magic decides to flare up at random possibly hitting Miykael. (Possibly curing HFH?)

:: [ Magic: FirexTime | Ability to radiate blue flames from her body up to a radius of 5 feet ]
:: [ Restrictions | The flames can burn if she is touched but the magic only lasts for 20 seconds at a time in battle ]
