Nothing but happiness clouded Tilneys head today. He had woken up as a citizen of the Worlds Edge. He felt a sense of belonging that he hadn't in a long time and there was something completely refreshing about the oceans breeze that drifted through the trees. Refreshed he was in other ways too; He was here, starting again.
As he tread through his new home he nodded to each citizen he passed, nothing short of totally in awe of the forest he was stepping through. To some passers by he would utter a soft "lovely day isnt it!" or a simle "hello I'm Tilney!", not even thinking his over-friendliness could be annoying.

He would be forever grateful to the elephantine King for allowing him to stay and also for allowing him to continue the career he had started at his previous home. Healing, Curing, fixing and soothing were passions of this young stallion. With such an empathetic mind as his it was hard for him to see others suffer, and so he decided he would pay a visit to the Moon Doctors. It was they who could teach him all he needed to know if he wanted to become one himself one day. He wished to learn everything he could about healing and maybe even make some discoveries of his own.
Where was he to find them though?

He had heard of a glade of gardens and greenhouses where they could be found but he wasn't certain on where to find such a glorious sounding dale. And so his trek began. Clambering over tree spotted hills and running down through gullys, Tilney came to clifftops and creeks. He didn't really mind that he had gone in circles and loops and the glade he sought really had not been far from the point he started.

Eventually though he did find that glorious garden, though not a soul was in sight. Even if his journey would seem to some as being for nothing Tilney was still enchanted by the glorious flowers and plants that filled the glade. Dipping his nose, the young stag inhaled the precious yellow pollen of a bright purple lily-like flower. It didn't cross him until the dizzyness hit that he could of in fact inhaled something quite poisonous. He danced in a dizzy, faint state around the garden wondering about each plants good and bad properties until he stumbled right over, his left front leg tangled in a web of ivy. Too dizzy to fix himself back to a standing position, the stag just happily lay under the plants, unbeknownst to him the yellow pollen of the nightshade flower was taking effect.

The snowy maiden had spent most of her time recently in the gardens, getting to know her new workplace even better and aiding with the constant need for remedies for the members of the herd, as well as stocking up the stores for Frostfall, which was soon to come. She was not as skilled in the  magical arts as many of the members of the herd, but such physical duties were well within her capabilities, and indeed were her area of expertise, and she had taken to them gladly, though Calista had begun to work on becoming more adept in the medicinal arts.

Today, however, she decided to carry out her tasks in the farthest garden, which was still close enough to hear a whinny of summons if she were needed. It was then that her azure orbs spotted a figure at the Edge of the dale. The stag's fiery pelt stood out against a canvas of viridescent foliage. Unable to figure out what he was doing there from afar, the mare set down the dock leaves she had been picking and went to see what this stranger wanted. Moving at a steady, ground-eating lope, the Calista skirted the edges of the garden, her nostrils flaring as she took in the scents around her. Her passage was almost silent, and the strands of soft grass crumpled  effortlessly under her weight, only to pop right back up again. As she approached the stallion she broke to a walk, calling out to him with a soft whicker. "Can I help you, sir?" When he did not reply, Calista became slightly worried and perplexed. He seemed to be stumbling about quite clumsily like a drunkard. It was soon made apparent upon her approach that something was quite the matter. "Oh dear," The woman muttered under her breath, hurrying over to help the antlered stallion, who had by now stumbled and fallen over onto his side. There he lay sprawled out among the flowers, a funny expression plastered across his face, emerald eyes staring off into the distance as if in some sort of trance. His lips were peeled back in a beatific smile. "He must have found the nightshade." Sniffing him gingerly, it was not difficult for Calista to identify the cause of his predicament. Having no idea who this young lad was or even if he was even from the Edge at all (she certainly hadn't seen him before), the mare glanced around hastily for something to lessen the nightshade's quick-setting ramifications.

"Talk?"
"it's my life, it's now or never, i ain't gonna live forever, I just wanna live while I'm alive"

Melodic echoes filled his skull, a faes gentle voice whispering into sleepy ears. Tilneys wide eyes tried in vain to search for the source of the call until splashes of coal and white crowded his sight. Focussing his spinning vision, he could decipher the face of a painted stranger looking worriedly into his eyes. "hmmm?" he murmured, lashes fluttering over glazing eyes. Rolling further onto his spine, both front feet dangling over his ribs while his hind pair hung from their hocks, gingery eyelids closed over his verdant eyes. Vivid visions began to play under his eyelids and his brow firmed; usually his dreams were not enjoyable. Opening his eyes however, the dream hardly left him.

A hallucination began; the painted mare who stood above him was no longer there. His father had replaced her, his angry violet eyes crooning down on tilneys frighten orbs of green. Tipping his red bodice over Tilney scrambled to his feet; wobbly and dizzy as he was he stumbled many times through the plants on his way to a steady stance. " A powerful, adrenalized snort escaped his splashed nostrils, fiercely eyeing the ghostly figure of his sire that had taken the melodic does place."...father!? he whimpered. "s-stay away from me!" Stumbling backwards through shrubs and vines he searched for an escape route but he only saw ancient walls of his homeland, covered in grape vines and lillies. He was trapped in this beautiful terrace with no where to run.

Being as tenderhearted as he is, Tilney had no enemies except for his poor excuse of a sire. Captain, the black and white painted giant from his past. This stallion was the reason for so much of tilneys suffering. Of course it was Captain, his own father, who had thrown him as a yearling from the heights of a rocky cliff. Tilney was too weak to carry on such a royal, infamous family name. From Captains perspective, Tilney and his disinterest in violence and conquering risked the reputation of the entire family. He had to be dealt with.

"Its not real Tilney!"

It was his sister Carlisles voice. FINALLY, had she made it to the edge? Sweeping away in a gust of wind, the hallucination was pulled from the atmosphere around him and he was left with a clear view of the worried coal and ivory doe, but there was no sight of his sister. Watching the faes golden horn and radiant cool eyes, he finally whispered "what is happening?".
