Having trailed along the confines of this new world for what already seemed like an eternity, the appearance of some desert was quite the change from the fading greenery. Very few strangers had said much to him in his travels but despite this he had managed to pick up a few facts here and there about this Helovia. The only one who had ever challenged his interest had been the one by the name of Lace. It wasn't been so much what he had said but in the way he said it that had caused him to give it more than single thought. While their conversation had been short and rather cut off the only thing he had gathered was something about the Throat. Naturally when something sticks in his mind for longer than the few seconds it takes to process the information, sooner or later be would be forced to investigate further. Swatting his tail to clear away a few pesky insects the stallion continued forward wondering what was so interesting that he had remembered the name of it.

As dirt turned to sand and hills into dunes the warrior found himself wandering without a single clue as to where he was, not that he knew this on a regular basis. Squinting his eyes against the sun atop one of the many sand dunes he gazed around to try and get a basis for where he had come from. The wind had already covered his tracks from where he had come from but he felt as if he had walked in a relatively straight path, so that should make the Throat close to where he was standing. In all honesty he could be standing in the middle of it and not even know the difference. Back home land borders had been marked in some shape or form but here things were as plain as the blue sky. "Where in the hell is this fucking place?" He murmured softly to himself flicking his ears back to temporarily touch the sides of his skull showing his displeasure of wandering in freaking circles. Maybe it was a mistake coming all the way out here just on a whim. Then again perhaps the old chap he had spoken to was just bat shit crazy.

Speed drills. That was the order of the day for the active Sultana. With her twins now old enough to be on their own for a a few hours, she had set herself back into a regiment of physical training that she had all but ignored over the last season or so. Perhaps she could never hope to match her counterpart in ruling for sheer strength (Gaucho was the mightiest warrior in Helovia and ascended to boot) but damned if she’d make a poor showing. She zipped through the sky, using the familiar landscape below to measure the distance and time herself; by the time she spotted and unfamiliar figure on the sands below she had already worked up a sweat.

She dove to meet the unfamiliar unicorn, and landed near him in a spectacular swoosh of wings and spray of sand. The red dust she kicked up clung to her sides like a beautifully familiar warpaint, and the mare was already grinning having caught at least the tone of the stallions mutterings. She did not stop her approach, but swung wide to move in a circle around the spot the stallion stood with a cocky bounce in her trot. The exercise had her in a high mood, and as the beast was alone he was much more of a curiosity than a threat. Her dark eyes hinted in amused challenge and she flashed a grin. “You’re in the Dragon’s Throat, but I might wonder how you came to cross our bridge without a key…” It he’d walked into the dragon’s den to cause trouble all she had to to was send up her beacon for backup, but for the moment Meg was content with this new game.
