She had done it. Ventured out of the protection that was the world's edge. It was exhilarating, all new things, flavors, colors, lives, that the silver soaked in each chrome the world of Helovia offered her. At the same time, she felt bare, naked in this world that was not her home. The world of blue skies and strange weathers. This one, was cold, a feeling she had only ever read about in the libraries of Isisi, the absence of heat it was called. How strange it was, these feelings that this place brought to her. Katerina could feel the spin of gears as her eyes and mind scattered about, focusing and lapping up too many things at once. She did not feel overwhelmed though, but merely surprised with how different and alike the two nations were. Where all nations so different, so similar? Did the equine race show patterns?

The sound of water broke her away from her unanswerable questions, ears tipping forward as she broke through the wilds into a sanded place. The terrain felt cool under her daggers, each step melting into the sands as if she was just a part of it rather then separate. Her eyes then followed the soft footing to a beautiful scene of crashing waves. The silver was instantly awed, watching with stunned eyes as the waves gathered, fell, and repeated, the process so calming. The water was crystalline and azure, contrasting against the translucent silver, clear, waters of her home. It was beautiful though, to see such colors weaved in the landscape of Helovia. Her roaring mind slowed then, a relieving sigh escaping her as she let the serenity of the ocean tide soothe the thoughts of exploration.

"It's the heart and the soul and the body and the brain
Driving me insane
But the wind and the land and the fire and the rain
Always stay the same"
-Roll With the Wind

Caenan had woke in the morning as a foal. His rumbling accented voice was gone; although still accented, it came to him in higher a higher pitch than what he had heard in quite some time. The stallion was growing as accustomed as one could become to their age having a case of the hiccups. It rose and fell on a whim leaving him breathless.

Perhaps this time his magic had came out to offer the stallion aide. The previous day he had spent training. Caenan was taking his position as Protector incredibly serious; especially for him, a stallion who viewed few things with seriousness. He had dreaded how sore he would be but his magic had given him the gift of a light body of a young colt and the chipper mind of one also. No seriousness for him today. Today he was taking a break. And he would enjoy it. Immensely. Maybe it wouldn't be a big deal if he never got his magic under control.

Caenan still kept most of the thoughts belonging to his real age but they had the flair of a much younger colt. He could not stay still! Up and down the shore he pranced, bucked, ran, and jumped. The gulls laughed at the colt-stallion but they would not play with him. It irritated him. What was the point if there was no one to enjoy the day with? His older brain scoffed at the neediness of the younger one. But both sides of his brain approved of who came to the Endless Blue, older him was interested in a beauty that visited the sea and the younger side would have settled for anyone that looked halfway interesting.

"Miss!" Caenan giggled at himself, "Miss! You are very pretty." As the foal version of himself he batted his lengthy eye lashes that all the young are blessed with. He had considered calling her 'pwetty' but he thought that might be overkill. The stallion did not know where this game was going and would have to make sure he kept dignity after it was finished.

She has calmed, the waves so utterly soothing and serene that she almost didn't hear the sound of another calling out to her. It was if the water was the only thing that her mind could hear and everything else was just void to her, unwanted and unneeded. She turns her head though, a lazy tired look in her eyes as she finds herself settling on the small frame of a young colt. He compliments her, and a small smile escapes her. He is so young, so naive, so innocent. Sometimes she wished that she could have such a mind, that she did not have the knowledge of her 97 years of life, did not have the burdens of 97 years of life. But the silver did have those things, and she could not mull over the negativity that such items gave her. There was too little time(even though it seemed like there was too much) to be negative.

"Why thank you little one!" She offers kindly, enjoying the company of the child. It had been so long since she had been around children, and they were one of her favorite things. There was a lurch in a barrel, a sadness that was realized that she could never have one of her own. It was all she had ever wanted, but the gods did not gift her with child-bearing fertility. Think positive Katerina Stella. She told herself, silvers blinking as she refocused on the bay colt. "What is your name?"
