"Where brilliance is good and madness is better..."
Helovia Info
Helovia opened in February 2012! We are an active fantasy equine RPG
Where once the world narrowed into naught but gray dust and desolation, the gods called for life. Wielding the elements of fire and light, dark and wind, earth and water, spark and time, they have created Helovia. The realm is set within the mythical globe of Loorien, a planet rich with all variety of creatures and blessed with all manner of magic. Originally populated by nomadic, tribal characters, they've since grown into massive empires saturated with culture and history. Separated into four distinct segments of Helovia, called "The Regions," each band of horse strong enough and capable enough, took up the power and responsibility of leadership. Unicorns, old, wise and mysterious, took to the north, hidden in forests of mists and shadows and rarely making themselves known beyond their cliffs of the World's Edge. Equines, vast, organized and militaristic, split into two, one group went north to the Windtossed Foothills and the other group went south to the Dragon's Throat. Pegasus remained nomadic, making their homes in various parts of The Wilds in a migratory manner. For many generations, the land was peaceful and calm, but peace was never the way of the gods. With a clash of argument, war and bloodshed massacred Helovia, and in the aftermath, the realm was eerily quiet. Now, as newcomers sweep into this land, they are met with the lingering bitterness of the gods and the struggle to reclaim what was lost. Nothing remains safe or certain while sorcerers and soldiers alike brood and bide their time for revenge, honor and glory.

ORANGEMOON cools off the lands with a a viscious force. Colder than normal, a sign of things to come during Frostfall, Helovia is bathed in a rich tropical lushness - albiet a cold one. The coastlines of the Dragon's Throat are pelted constantly by tidal waves, and the desert climate is humid but chilly. Ice begins to form early in the Aurora Basin leaving the winding trails slick and dangerous. The mists of the World's Edge coat everything in a glistening crystalline shine which encourages mould to grow everywhere. The Spectral Marsh is the only area which remains fertile, blissfully temperature and lush.

WEAVER, Corporal of the Aurora Basin, is a relatively recent addition to Helovia and has taken it by storm. Branded with the seal of Death on her chest, intrigue and interest follow both her past and present. Though she is assuredly beautiful, her sometimes sharp personality reveals that there is more to this uni-peg hybrid than meets the eye. Proving herself able on the battlefield in the Basin’s warrior ranks, we can’t wait to see her test her mettle against the looming Kaos happenings! Congratulations!

She couldn't express how happy she was to be back in the Edge. It's misty floors and dark pines were like a sweet embrace upon her black spotted skin. The Orangemoon sun still managed to break through the thick canopy above, shimmering palely down upon her as she trotted merrily ahead. She was in search of something important, something that would be helpful to herself and those in the herd. With the colder seasons coming on she needed to find something that would help keep everyone healthy, and what better way to do that than with some chamomile and lavender. Her black nares opened wide to take in the scents around her, velvet nose close to the ground in order to pick up the scent at a faster pace. When she honed in on one of the familiar smells she smiled, picking up her pace only slightly before coming across a small patch of white flowers. Her wings fluttered in pride at her accomplishment, before the girl began to gently pluck the stems from the ground one by one. Once they were safely clamped into her mouth she lifted her crown gracefully, before searching to look for a spot to store them.
Well this was an interesting predicament. She had forgotten to bring a basket or weave one to carry her things. She sighed, gaze growing thoughtful as to what she was going to do. After searching the expanse of the clearing an idea finally arrived, causing her to grin and walk over to one of the trees that's leaves were falling. After much inspection she found one that she deemed fit, before scooping it up and bringing it back over to her stash. After another lap around the clearing she finally found a tall piece of grass, and with a few quick motions Myrrine managed to wrap the flowers up in a small leaf package. She couldn't help but feel quite proud of herself for such an accomplishment! She lifted it gently by the string, bringing it with her as she went on in search of some lavender. Before doing so she came across a small creek, one that invited her to stop for a drink. Soon black was meeting clear the and pegasus was enjoying a refreshment from the cool depths. Closing her eyes she sighed, feeling perfectly content with where life has taken her.
It had been a long journey to leave, and an even longer one to return. She had come back empty-handed yes, but she had learned just how much she truly had come to cherish her second home. Sure, it meant that mother was gone, that life was going to be hard without her, but that didn't mean it wouldn't keep going, or that mother wouldn't be happy without her. She sincerely hoped the beautiful grey mare had found something to soothe her mourning, or even found a nice herd she could join up with. Perhaps they could accept her for who she was. Sighing, the spotted angel couldn't help but let a single tear slip from hazel eyes, for despite her accepting her situation and giving her goodbyes, it still made her heart shatter into a million pieces. The pain was sometimes unbearable, where she would awake in the middle of the night sobbing over the loss, before finally soothing herself and praying to the Gods for her to return to sleep. The journey of grief was a long one, filled with many trials and obstacles, but what made it so important was coming out strong in the end. Which was what Myrrine intended to do.
The Edge proved to be an interesting place, and Kiuaji had spent his time carefully and deliberately seeking out every nook and possible cranny within the herds borders and committing them to memory. All would come in useful at one time or another, whether for storing his future collections of potions and vials and growing of his flowers and plants that's intentions were far more nefarious than the flowerings blooming in the Green House. Other spots, would simply be a place for the viperous stallion to watch and observe the comings and goings of those that passed.
What better to hunt snakes that slithered within the mists, than a snake itself?
Eventually, he was brought to a clearing with a crystalline clear creek running the breadth of it. He had contemplated exploring it to see if the plants there would be of interest, but elected against it when he observed that their leaves and flowered heads weren't what he was after. A shame, he'd have rather had liked to take a stroll through the clearing and sip from those refreshing waters, but he had better things to be doing with his time.
Only, as he turned to walk away, like a great cat returning to the shadows something caught his eye and he paused in his step. A spotted pegasus pranced into the clearing, with wings that fluttered and took the shape of a butterfly's. She was an oddity the likes of which Kiuaji had never seen, for the Korofi of his homeland were all styled in the images of the great raptors of the sky, and twice as barbaric as their avian counterparts. Kiuaji had a handful of run ins with their representatives and had often come away with the dire need to dip them in acidic bath. She however, held an air of sadness and sweetness they did not, with her spotted hide and gentle wings.
Helovia was a bizarre and marvelous place of oddities and laws unto itself, it seemed.
The poisoner watched a little longer from the safe, shadowed tree line and misted brushes. Waiting for what? He wasn't sure, an opening to speak to the unusual creature? The opening came in the form of a gilded tear sliding down the maidens face and he stepped from the brush, his step elegant and feminine. Like a regal siren of the forest with a veil of concern casting an illusion on his marked features, he approached, to the unsuspecting stranger he looked like a concerned maiden himself, looking out for a herd member who had ended up lost within their own thoughts and sadness.
"Whatever is wrong?" Effeminate voice equal parts light and airy, but no less dipped in the same concern his body hummed. Kiuaji stopped short of the pegasus mare, and let his long tassels rest and pool around his plumed dipped feet as a svelte hip cocked out to the side as his purple eyes observed her contently. His spiraled horns tilted to the side in a gentle swing as his head turned toward the leaf peppered sky, as if to emphasize the next words that fell from his crafty lips. "On such a lovely day as this, no one should be sad."

"Whatever is wrong?" resounded from behind her, causing her to start and turn around in surprise. Rapidly blinking to rid herself of any unshed tears she studied this woman... no man. A very feminine man. His beauty rivaled hers, with intricate markings adorning his face and flank, while his tail faded in a beautiful ombre pattern. She couldn't help but be so fascinated by his entire look, and soon she was smiling at him politely. The rest of his words only caused her to gently giggle, before finally facing herself towards him and dipping her head in agreement," It is indeed Sir. I just needed to clear up my mind is all, and with that came a few tears." Her smile never left her expression, but the sadness was evident in her soft hazel orbs as she made contact into his beautiful violet ones.
After a moment of silence she looked to the beautiful blue sky, watching a flock of birds flutter past before finally returning to look at the chocolate stud before her. Tossing her head she took another step towards him, eyes full of curiosity and kindness as she finally spoke," My name is Myrrine by the way. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance Sir." She wanted to know his name, to get to know him and who he was. Obviously they were herd members together, so why would she not want to get to know him? She was still getting used to being back home, and with that came a lot of new faces. She still wasn't used to the new royalty, and she felt that their ranks were ever changing in what they did. She didn't know how to feel about it all, and sometimes she didn't feel entirely secure in the edge. Not because the lands were unsafe, she would eagerly walk these lands in the night time without the slightest discomfort; but what made her so concerned was where the Edge was going to end up next. She only hoped it would end up for the better.
Did he know of the events that occurred here? What was his role in this place? She wondered if he would have the answers to all of her questions, and would help her catch up with the latest news. She just wanted to understand like she used to, she wanted to be a part of her home again as if she had never left; but to assume such a thing could be accomplished was in itself foolish. Her desire to remain so close to where she wanted to hold her roots was a challenge when they had been yanked out so violently. It had been her own doing, and she regretted it so, but she vowed she would never do it again. This place was her home, and it would be until her dying days. She could never again leave the pines and mist around her ankles, or the way the ocean breeze left a salty taste in her mouth when she looked over the peak. Every little of this place was now a part of her, made her who she was, and to lose it again would be almost as bad as losing Mother. Realizing she had been in deep thought she blinked, before returning her attention from a random spot behind the man and back onto his handsome expression. Hopefully he didn't notice her spaciness.
