Long trips passed very quickly with company. Tilney was nothing short of ecstatic to be finally recruiting his first new edge member, but he explained in detail the history he knew of the lands they passed through and the other herds scattered across the country. He had been a proud member of the edge for a number of seasons now and certainly had no plans of leaving. He had certainly made his home there and counted many mane edgers among his family. Now he hoped Himalia would soon feel the same as he; settled and at home in Helovia.

"You mentioned you don't think yourself very good at healing? Might you be interested in another career?" Tilney asked his new bronze friend as they neared the border of his western adobe. "If you think you could be a fitting Scout or fighter you could begin in the fortifying ranks? If that is not for you though perhaps crafting? Or even the wise ranks where you will learn to communicate with Mother Moon! But perhaps if intelligence and stealth is more your element I am sure there is room with our sneaks also!" He would certainly encourage her to join one of the ranks, he more who helped the herd the better!

"Speaking of mother moon..." Tilneys nose turned to the sky and the vibrant colours that filled it. The sun was saying his goodbyes, the moon her greetings. He should of noticed his vision failing, but it had snuck up on him in the excitement. One word could fix that though.
"Aiya" He chanted, his voice directed towards the sun he loved to much. The warmth that splashed his face was more then welcome, lantern light pouring into every dark space it could find. Reaching over the flaxen man pulled the green cloak further over Himalias whither once again, tucking her gently into the hugely oversized cloak he had lent her. A shard of glass lay in the pine needles by his hoof; he knew what that meant. "We are here!" he announced.

The trees were taller, more magnificent here then the meadow they had crossed, the evening fog was choking each trunk and hiding the fallen glass wall mostly. Instructing Himalia to be careful and to watch for glass, He trod excitedly home. He could hardly stop talking as they walked through what would be her new home. The first place he took the hazel girl was to the large glass dragon and the glade that surrounded it. Its amethyst eyes were probably only welcoming to him.

Elsa,
Feel lucky for what you have, when you have it. Happily ever after doesn’t mean happy forever.

Elsa was neglectful once again on her duties of welcoming. She was anything but a social butterfly- and the thought of pleasant, airy, pointless small talk made her cringe. If there was one thing she was bad at, it was keeping a conversation moving. Eventually she hoped the flaw would heal itself, but as the years wore on, that didn’t seem to be the case.

Edgar clutched tightly to her mane, he wanted to see the new members. Although normally she refused his request, she succumbed to his pleas as he was sick as of late. The poor bird was always exhausted, wheezing and a number of other things. Elsa didn’t feel bad, for she had warned him numerous times about his health. He just refused to take care of himself sometime, and had a blatant disregard for personal space. More than likely he picked up some freakish disease on their recent trip to the Threshold.

The duo kept an ear out on their patrol around the boarders. If she was lucky, no one would be returning. But as karma would have it, Tilney arrived with a newcomer in tow. Elsa sighed, but kept a smile on her face as she approached. She offered both a small nod, Edgar quietly chirping in greeting. ”Well who do we have here?” She purred casually. ”Welcome to the Edge, my name is Elsa and the bird is Edgar. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I am assuming you are here to move in?” A genuine smile crossed her face now. New bodies always felt nice- it was like adding one more to her family. A very large family, but a strong one nonetheless. Elsa stayed silent, awaiting for either Tilney or the newcomer to say something,
