Oyana
dig up her bones but leave the soul alone
She still remembers leaving. Correcting herself in her own thoughts as she walks, that she did not leave of her own volition. She was cast out, thrown aside by her own sire after she had attacked him, lashing out at him for the stupidity of his narrow minded views. He only cared for her brother, and beyond that he only wanted their tribe to become stronger and be a part of the faction that would take anything they had desired. Oyana never understood that mentality, but being exiled had left her even more distrusting than ever. She had left Dorobo and the plains entirely, legs lifting high as they carried her from her home.

Leaving her brother behind. Her soul ached at that thought, at that moment, but unless she wanted to get herself killed, she would go. There was no choice.

Now, they were together. She had learned of the fall of Dorobo from her brother when he had found her, and together they travelled. They crossed so many lands together, never parting from each other. While their bond had been forged as children seeking to learn from each other, now they were simply inseparable.

When the land narrowed before them, in this forest of a dense forest, Oyana craned her head around to look at her brother.

“Where do you suppose this leads us?” She asks him. Her voice is level, calm. With her red gaze she turns to look before her again, as she walks through the narrowing and out into the thicker forest on the other side. There was a border to something here, and it was down into this she stepped. Oyana though, upon scenting even more than she had before, drew to a halt very suddenly, and wouldn't be surprised if Tamu ran into her. Her head shot back, high into the air.

“There are many others here... should we go back?” She asks him, craning her head slightly around to look at him. Oyana says nothing further but is on edge, ears pricked and listening for foreign noises – wondering what was out there.

Tamu
there is no medicine to cure hatred

Not a day passes that Tamu doesn't think about what life would be like if he hadn't found his sister; ignoring the fact that he'd actually probably be dead. He didn't miss having a proper home, or being surrounded by familiar faces, doing the same things day-in, day-out. He didn't need any of that, because he'd found Oyana, and that's all he needed to keep on going.

After having found her and having what was probably an over-dramatic reunion, Tamu insisted that they keep on moving, not wanting the repercussions of the fall of their homeland to catch up to them. It wasn't something he desired to face, and certainly something he wanted to protect Oyana from for as long as he was able. And so now they were travelling together, just how he liked it, over lands they'd never known before and heading in no particular direction - it was unlike Tamu to not have a solid plan, but he felt no need for one as it was simply a feeling that drew him to their destination.

As they approach a rather thick forest with a faint hint of a possible path, Tamu eyes their surroundings carefully as he wanders behind his sister, keeping an eye and ear out for anything that may be lurking in the shadows and decide to attack.
"No idea, but..." He starts to respond to her question but comes to a halt barely a centimeter away from her, "Oyana!"

Tamu backs himself up a little to give her room if she wishes to move as she speaks once more, again offering a question for him to answer. Sighing softly he shakes his head, and gives her a gentle, warm smile and a reassuring look with green eyes that dared to blend with their surroundings.

"There's nothing back there for us, sister. We need to keep moving forward; at least to get out of this forest before I nearly trip over you again." His tone is teasing and he gives her a gentle nudge to continue onward. There was most definitely something on the other side of the forest, but that didn't mean it would be good. It was at this point that he wished he was in front of her now instead, in case something awaited them. Something bad.

and oh, there is more to this life
Who would the threshold present to him today?
His march to Helovias mouth was as quick as a breeze, his feet finding the route easily; Tilney had it pinned in his mind and knew the rocky way through the meadow off by heart by now. The bronze boy had high hopes for his last recruit. Himalia seemed like the hardy type all cliff-dwellers were, and she certainly hadn't seemed like the type to endure the endless snow of the Aurora basin or the heat ever thrashing the landscape in the south. The midlands of Helovia was where you got the best of both worlds.

The flaxen mans shining gaze fell upon a pair of wonderfully patterned unicorns, both matching yet contrasting each other. He only ever saw such similarities in twins. A kaledescope of colours littered their hides, the main palette being cool reds, ivory and deep blackish blues. Each held a completely alternative gaze; one vermillion and one the held a similar verdant colour as his own. Tileny didn't take long to study them; no. Only a few moments he took to cast his gaze over the travellers before stepping from the backlit frostbitten trees and cheering to them. "Good afternoon" was Tilneys bellow.

The trusty lantern was aglow, held by his lofty bark-coloured antlers and the sun who was usually quite a stranger on a frostfall day was kindly blessing each fir and pine. Instead of the blue forest crowded in ice and bitterness that was the thresholds usual winter form, this afternoon it glowed and even felt a little warm. "What an incredible evening" Tilney muttered as he tread delicately around the colourful travellers.

Taking his place quite a distance from the couple, Tilney began to weave slowly through the thawing trees. "You are in Helovia, Welcome" he told them, his viridescent gaze turning upwards to the sun. Some who passed the border didn't always know where they were. He stopped not far ahead of them, a broad and warm smile cast their way.

Oyana
dig up her bones but leave the soul alone
Her name spilling from his throat like that caused the okapi twin to cock her head back and give him a strange sly smile – the reaction of a sibling to another. Yet she is at full alert, listening to Tamu while she looks around. There was no sound yet, only the whispers of the forest and the creaking of the branches, of the trunks as they spoke in baritone voice. It was truthfully quite calming here, were it not for the smells all around them. Then to add to her unease came a new sound, the noise only another walking, living creature can make, and then before her was the sight that matched the sound, the smell.

He was red to her eyes, the shade that of embers of a dying fire, right across him. Yet he was marred by white on his limbs, and it seemed on one side it tracked all the way up along his neck, dividing like branches of a tree. Atop his head sat a crown of strange horns, unlike anything she had ever seen. It was this marvellous set of antlers that both drew her attention over any other part of him, including the brilliant blue of his eyes that were so similar to her brother.

Her silence does not linger for long however. While intrigued, her cold, distrustful exterior does not allowed her curiosity to show. Instead, Oyana recoils a little, her head pulled up alongside Tamu's own.

She had been about to tell him to come no further, but he stopped of his own volition and stood there, with a welcome dripping from his lips. So the horned woman blinked slow, and spoke back, “Are you a native to this land?” A question. For curiosity, but Oyana wanted to know. “Who are you?” She asks secondly, her voice as cool as it had been when she spoke to him before.

Oyana does not leave Tamu's side. Instead she simply watches with a misanthropic shine to her eyes, wondering what her brother would make of this stranger.

Tamu
there is no medicine to cure hatred

At first Tamu gave a short roll of his eyes and slight shake of his head, though he smiled as well, at the smile she flashed him. They played often and he enjoyed teasing her occasionally too, his favourite thing to do was sneaking up on her and tugging her mane and acting like nothing had happened. It was harmless, but fun, and it wasn't like she didn't get her fair share of payback. But Tamu wouldn't have it any other way, much preferring his sister's company over anyone else's.

Speaking of others, well, thinking at any rate, a voice broke through the air and the stallion's emerald eyes dart in the direction it had come from. Without even a second thought he stepps forward, not caring that there was very little room for him to actually stand beside Oyana, let alone manoeuvre in front of her; but beside her was as far as he managed to get.

The strange beast before them was nothing like Tamu had ever seen before. Slightly taller than himself - though certainly far more if one were to include those antlers - and adorned in a marking that he had no better description for than a dead tree. He wondered silently for a moment if perhaps the marking would bloom in warmer weather, but the thought was swiftly dismissed from his mind as his ears flickered at the sound of the male's voice again.

It was of little surprise that Oyana beat him to asking the questions, but at least she asked the important ones. Eyeing Tilney carefully, Tamu cocks his head a little before gently bumping into his sister with his shoulder, a silent gesture that he hoped she would understand that they weren't in danger, as he squeezed past her to create a barrier between her and the other stallion.

"Your arrival is most curious."His tone holds obvious distrust, as do his eyes, but that is only because it is within his nature, "How did you know that anyone would be here?" Tamu gives a quick gesturing glance back to Oyana before returning his eyes to Tilney, watching the other carefully, still yet unsure. Though his gut assures him that there's nothing to be so uptight about, he would rather come off as rude than risk leading Oyana into a trap.

and oh, there is more to this life
The duo had many question for him; three to be precise. Was he a native? Who was he? How did he know they were here? A smile that could almsot be described as cheeky crossed his ashen maw, eyes starry and bright. "You are full of questions" He chuckled from his place a number of yards ahead of them. "Truth be told I had no idea you were here, but where we stand right now is the Threshold. This is Helovias doorstep - you can always find newcomers here" was his kind explanation. Now he turned and began slowly strolling once again between the firs and pines. "I am a Moon Doctor of the Worlds Edge, Tilney is my name"

Suddenly the lad stopped, marble stones crashing the pine needles with urgency below. "Oh, pardon me! Neither of you are injured are you!?" Tilney bellowed with concern, his verdant gaze flashing quickly up and down each of the striped and patterned twins. The russet boys mind soon crossed back to the first question quizzed his way and he could only smile softly "Helovia is my home" was all he gave as an answer.

"While it's an awefully nice evening, you wouldn't want to be left wandering here after dark. Hypothermia might surely catch you." - he began walking again, "You are welcome to accompany me to my herd in the west of course. King Tembovu and Queen Elsa are very kind, plus im sure we could do with an extra set of hooves around as birdsong approaches!"
