Moving through the dense landscape Kailua would look up every no and then to see if she could catch a glimpse of the ever sweet sun that might peek out some day but it never would and today didn't seem like the day for it either curse this forest and all these trees silently talking to herself she trips up on an old rotting log, falling slightly she corrected her body and stood and stared at the log that now has a great deal of a chunk missing from where she had tripped.

Stretch her thick neck down to the log she took a better look at it and how beetles ran over the move and sprouts flopped and some swayed in the wind, she did no think to stop and actually look at the forest she was in till now only did she worry about herself. Taking a look around she noticed how the sun squished in and bounced of the trees and leaves giving off an inviting glow that would take any new horses breath away, the wind pulled through her mane sending shivers down her spine and bring new scents into her nostrils of wood, other mares and sweet grass that they chewed and trampled on there way to go pester another mare or to find a herd.

Brisa & Hikari

The wondrous new growth of birdsong had slowly transitioned into the wretched heat of tallsun leaving much of Helovia starting to show the effects. Grasses were beginning to yellow in places where there was no protection from the direct rays of the sun and the small creeks had begun to dry up. Back home things were a little bit better but they were under constant threat of wildfires breaking out thanks to such dry conditions. The one bonus that the Falls provided was ample fresh drinking water for them all to keep hydrated. There was nothing like spending an afternoon by the waterfalls just lazing in the shade and cooling off with a quick dip into the water. Those types of days had been few and far between as of late with her herdly duties but she could still dream of times when she could have had that luxury.

Moving through the threshold with ease the white mare couldn't help but cause a bit of a ruckus with all the dried up greenery crunching here and there along the well worn pathways. Flicking her tail against her pelt to rid herself of the pesky insects that seemed to come with the dry weather she gazed down to make sure that Hikari was still close by. Spotting the young kitsune a little ways back poking around at anything and everything she laughed softly. They say that curiosity killed the cat but how about the kitsune? Hikari come along we have a long trip ahead of us. She said in silence using their bond to relay the message before setting off in the direction she had been headed with the pup following.

Pausing when rustling in the brush disturbed the silence blue eyes scanned the landscape before falling on a painted woman all alone. Judging by her appearance she guessed that she was not from around here, or better yet not from Helovia. Approaching slowly she wickered softly to get the girl's attention not wanting to cause her any fear. "Hello there. Can I help you find your way? My name is Brisa and this is Hikari, its a pleasure to meet you."
