Poem
It was hot, and so Ashamin stood with his sarong hanging loose. The fabric was half heaped on the ground, half draping off his shoulder. One knot was tied poorly around an antler from his spinal piece. Orangemoon made the night cooler, but this part of Helovia would never be cold enough for him.
His two companions stood beside him, each attending to a different aspect of their surroundings. Lochan cared for the sky, which darkened with each passing moment until it became emptiness. That night it was void of stars; perhaps they hid from the red light cast from the heart, or perhaps they had never been there at all.
Rakt cared for the fire which raged below them, roiling like some sort of contained hell. It seemed awful to Ashamin, but so too did his younger companion's competitive spirit. Rakt had not only proven his capability to harm, but his incapability to apologize. In that great respect, the blood and the Clovenheart differed. Ashamin did not fear the cerndyr so much as feel a great disappointment in him. Lochan, always the level headed, assured Ashamin that things would, in time, be ok. This was only a phase. And of course, even if the buck did not believe it at the time, Lochan was right.
Though until that proved to be the case, Ashamin would stand and wait anxiously. He was looking beyond the inmediate, beyond his two companion's desires, because his own were far more difficult to reach. His mentor, his father of a kind, was on the other side of an impassable ocean.
But Ashamin still believed he would see Einarr again someday, and maybe even that night.

Quest thread #1: Ashamin must interact with people who have effected him greatly, for better or worse, and receive a token from them (item, feather, hair, etc.)
