"Where brilliance is good and madness is better..."
Helovia Info
Helovia opened in February 2012! We are an active fantasy equine RPG
Where once the world narrowed into naught but gray dust and desolation, the gods called for life. Wielding the elements of fire and light, dark and wind, earth and water, spark and time, they have created Helovia. The realm is set within the mythical globe of Loorien, a planet rich with all variety of creatures and blessed with all manner of magic. Originally populated by nomadic, tribal characters, they've since grown into massive empires saturated with culture and history. Separated into four distinct segments of Helovia, called "The Regions," each band of horse strong enough and capable enough, took up the power and responsibility of leadership. Unicorns, old, wise and mysterious, took to the north, hidden in forests of mists and shadows and rarely making themselves known beyond their cliffs of the World's Edge. Equines, vast, organized and militaristic, split into two, one group went north to the Windtossed Foothills and the other group went south to the Dragon's Throat. Pegasus remained nomadic, making their homes in various parts of The Wilds in a migratory manner. For many generations, the land was peaceful and calm, but peace was never the way of the gods. With a clash of argument, war and bloodshed massacred Helovia, and in the aftermath, the realm was eerily quiet. Now, as newcomers sweep into this land, they are met with the lingering bitterness of the gods and the struggle to reclaim what was lost. Nothing remains safe or certain while sorcerers and soldiers alike brood and bide their time for revenge, honor and glory.

Only the herdlands have a source of light, but lamp-trees with glowing leaves and branches sporadically line the popular roads and paths from place to place.
Doppleganger Plot ☼ - 6/20/13 - The God of Time is still struggling to close the rift though which the dopplegangers have come. He has requested that his brothers and sister assist in closing this hole, but without knowing why it opened, the task is proving difficult. Magic still remains faulty and hard to control, but the herdlands continue to be places of refuge for those who are fortunate enough to call these lands home.
ORANGEMOON cools off the lands with a a viscious force. Colder than normal, a sign of things to come during Frostfall, Helovia is bathed in a rich tropical lushness - albiet a cold one. The coastlines of the Dragon's Throat are pelted constantly by tidal waves, and the desert climate is humid but chilly. Ice begins to form early in the Aurora Basin leaving the winding trails slick and dangerous. The mists of the World's Edge coat everything in a glistening crystalline shine which encourages mould to grow everywhere. The Spectral Marsh is the only area which remains fertile, blissfully temperature and lush.

Character of the Month for
June, 2017
WEAVER, Corporal of the Aurora Basin, is a relatively recent addition to Helovia and has taken it by storm. Branded with the seal of Death on her chest, intrigue and interest follow both her past and present. Though she is assuredly beautiful, her sometimes sharp personality reveals that there is more to this uni-peg hybrid than meets the eye. Proving herself able on the battlefield in the Basin’s warrior ranks, we can’t wait to see her test her mettle against the looming Kaos happenings! Congratulations!

The sun has gone down and given way to night, the stars are hazy and blurry like they usually are this time of year. It is dead silent almost like everything knows the sin that has just been committed. Sabia had taken off right when it was over, when she snapped from his spell, the mare did not cry or yell...she remained silent and in shock. All Sabia wanted to do was go home to her family and her safe haven the Dragon's Throat. Sabia kept playing the scenerio over and over in her mind she wanted to forget it but she knows she never will, how foolish she had been.
Sabia knew not to trust the kind words of stallions outside of her herd, she knew that, yet she allowed the dark man to talk her into staying and before she realized what was happening he used his wicked magic on her. Below Sabia the dark ever moving ocean gave way to the red sands of the Throat, in the time she has been here those sands have come to be home to her. At the sight of her home Sabia's shock began to wear off the mare felt weak and the constant flaps of her wings began to falter and weaken, her throat tightens until it hurts and all she feels is despair. Sabia feels dirty his scent is all over her body and it overwhelms her, not to mention the evidence between her legs still remain. The mare's eyes begin to blur and before she knows it Sabia is spiraling downwards into the Throat.
Before its too late and she hits the ground Sabia pulls up and sticks her legs out to land, she stumbles and falls to the ground her legs sprawled at awkward angles and she kicks up sand in the process. Sabia's wings lay stretched out across the sand and she just lays there, taking everything in. Its too quiet and she is alone. The tight pain in Sabia's throat breaks and she is sobbing loudly to herself because there is no one to comfort her, she is alone, Sabia had always been alone.
So Sabia cries because she is alone, afraid, raped, and weak. Especially because if one were to happen upon her they would smell the man all over her or perhaps see the mess still between her legs, they would know excactly what happened to her and how she was so weak that Sabia could do nothing to stop it. Sabia is broken.
A single man had broken this girl, before she was fractured and now broken, the peices of Sabia were spread all over the place and no one could ever find them all again...
Put me through hell again, I miss the fire.

So much had changed in the last few weeks, maybe in months, I wasn't sure at this point. Time seemed to blur together as I forced myself to continue moving as if nothing had changed, as if my father hadn't died, as if my mother wasn't back and as if the number of siblings I shared hadn't increased in an alarming rate. The Wildfire's illness, the lack of sanity, had been growing more and more obvious but I knew better than to say anything. There was much work to be done, and work I did.
In fact work was what I was doing when my father, the great Wildfire himself, had died here in the sands that he had called home for so long. I was patrolling the lands of Helovia just outside of our wonderful little island and I had missed the whole thing...I missed saying good bye to my own father, the one man I strove so hard to make sure he was proud of me. The small filly inside of me wanted to curl up somewhere alone and cry for days because he was gone and would never see his grandchildren (if I ever found a soul unfortunate enough to stay with me), I would never be able to spar him again. But I could still make him proud.
Making him proud from his flaming throne in the sky was the exact reason why I kept moving, pushing the feelings of despair to the back of my mind to be dealt with once things on the sandy island returned to some sort of normal. For now, I was going to continue my patrolling but on the island for now. That was how I found myself wandering along the shoreline, allowing the salty brine to lip at my ebony limbs as I walked seemingly aimlessly, always on the alert for anything that could be considered out of the normal.
That's when I noticed the grey and red form crumpled on the sands cooled by the touch of the moon. Sobbing, obviously coming from the figure judging by the steady rise and fall of it's sides, loud enough to be heard over the gentle sound of the waves against the shoreline forced my dark dipped ears forward as electric blue eyes glowed with worry. Ebony painted limbs stretched out as heavily feathered wings stretched out in hopes of keeping my balance as I cantered easily through the terrain I had grown up in towards the sobbing mess. As I drew closer the scent shifted and I could tell something was wrong, the feminine perfume that I could only label as the grey's was mingled with that of a stallion full of malice and ill wishes. Ears flicked back into my two toned mane as I looked out over the ocean in case the suspect was anywhere close by, he may have been able to harass the girl off of the island, but she was in a safe place now.
A soft nicker slipped forward, making sure the startled girl knew that there was someone here to help her rather than hurt her more. The stench of semen and all else that had to do with the act I was unfamiliar with, assaulted the delicate nerve endings in my nasal cavity as I drew closer to her. "Shhh sweet girl, you are safe now." I attempted to comfort the grey, aching to reach out and touch her but something told me that would just make the situation worse so I kept my distance, blues raking over her body to take in any of the damage that might have been caused during her assault.
Through Sabia's sobbing she heard a soft sound, sea green eyes look up and take in the other Pegasus. It is humiliating for the healer to appear like this in front of another herd member, a woman degraded into a thing by a man who knew he could take advantage. It showed how weak Sabia really was physically and mentally, though through her ashamed feelings Sabia cant help but realize that someone came to her because...dare she think it, they worried about her? Sabia didn't deserve any of this; the rape and the betrayal, certainly not the caring concerned look of this complete stranger.
Sabia's throat clenches up again but she manages to get out a single sentence that said it all: "perhaps I don't deserve nice things because I'm paying for sins I don't remember..."
The broken woman began to cry again but this time she wanted, no, needed the comfort of another. Sabia raises her head and reaches out to the other mare with her muzzle, asking for comfort. It was a thing Sabia rarely got and she knew it was a long shot asking for it from a complete stranger. They weren't strangers though, they were the Dragon's Throat, they were family. So Sabia let her tears flow as she closed her eyes against the pain, her body was racked with shivers and shakes age couldn't control and her body was still sprawled out.
Sabia would never forget the day she met the man in the Secret Grove, she would mark that day as the one that changed her life forever.
The grey's sobbing filled the air, mingling with the waves crashing on the sands to create a song full of despair that caused my heart to ache as if the pain was my own to feel. Neons lit up with worry as I drew closer, just close enough that her sobbing nearly took over the thoughts that had been going through my head before, the death of my ave, the fact that now I really had to step in and care for the family rather than run off on as many missions as the Wildfire could throw at me. "Perhaps I don't deserve nice things because I'm paying for sins I don't remember..." The battered creature's voice crept shakily through the waves and salty breeze to my pricked ears, forcing a soft, nearly motherly cluck to come forth as I shook my skull where a tiara once sat gently. "Oh dear, not even the most evil of sinners deserves this fate." I cooed as I took a hesitant step closer to the grey, not wanting to scare her with all that had just happened to her.
Fury grew, boiling deep inside my barrel as she reached out for comfort and the garbled half-cry forced itself from her throat. I would find whoever had done this to my family. We may not be blood but the grey had sworn her life to the Throat so even if there was no DNA shared between the two of us, I would protect her until my own last breathe. A gentle smile was plastered forcefully across my features as I stepped closer to the mess of a mare, dark lips reaching out to brush across her cheek in comfort before lowering my pale, ghostly frame alongside her beaten grey one. A single, large, pale feathered appendage spread out to cover the sad soul from the harsh world around her. Electric eyes kept on the move, watching everything and anything that moved in case the horrid creature who had done this decided to come back for round two.
"Do you know who did this to you?" I seethed, plotting different ways to make the bastard pay for the pain he had forced upon my sister. The potential child that would be developing deep in her barrel, forcing her to remember the horrible act for months and then even years to come. "I can find him, make sure he's unable to hurt another mare in his sick life."
