"Where brilliance is good and madness is better..."
Helovia Info
Helovia opened in February 2012! We are an active fantasy equine RPG
Where once the world narrowed into naught but gray dust and desolation, the gods called for life. Wielding the elements of fire and light, dark and wind, earth and water, spark and time, they have created Helovia. The realm is set within the mythical globe of Loorien, a planet rich with all variety of creatures and blessed with all manner of magic. Originally populated by nomadic, tribal characters, they've since grown into massive empires saturated with culture and history. Separated into four distinct segments of Helovia, called "The Regions," each band of horse strong enough and capable enough, took up the power and responsibility of leadership. Unicorns, old, wise and mysterious, took to the north, hidden in forests of mists and shadows and rarely making themselves known beyond their cliffs of the World's Edge. Equines, vast, organized and militaristic, split into two, one group went north to the Windtossed Foothills and the other group went south to the Dragon's Throat. Pegasus remained nomadic, making their homes in various parts of The Wilds in a migratory manner. For many generations, the land was peaceful and calm, but peace was never the way of the gods. With a clash of argument, war and bloodshed massacred Helovia, and in the aftermath, the realm was eerily quiet. Now, as newcomers sweep into this land, they are met with the lingering bitterness of the gods and the struggle to reclaim what was lost. Nothing remains safe or certain while sorcerers and soldiers alike brood and bide their time for revenge, honor and glory.

Only the herdlands have a source of light, but lamp-trees with glowing leaves and branches sporadically line the popular roads and paths from place to place.
Doppleganger Plot ☼ - 6/20/13 - The God of Time is still struggling to close the rift though which the dopplegangers have come. He has requested that his brothers and sister assist in closing this hole, but without knowing why it opened, the task is proving difficult. Magic still remains faulty and hard to control, but the herdlands continue to be places of refuge for those who are fortunate enough to call these lands home.
ORANGEMOON cools off the lands with a a viscious force. Colder than normal, a sign of things to come during Frostfall, Helovia is bathed in a rich tropical lushness - albiet a cold one. The coastlines of the Dragon's Throat are pelted constantly by tidal waves, and the desert climate is humid but chilly. Ice begins to form early in the Aurora Basin leaving the winding trails slick and dangerous. The mists of the World's Edge coat everything in a glistening crystalline shine which encourages mould to grow everywhere. The Spectral Marsh is the only area which remains fertile, blissfully temperature and lush.

Character of the Month for
June, 2017
WEAVER, Corporal of the Aurora Basin, is a relatively recent addition to Helovia and has taken it by storm. Branded with the seal of Death on her chest, intrigue and interest follow both her past and present. Though she is assuredly beautiful, her sometimes sharp personality reveals that there is more to this uni-peg hybrid than meets the eye. Proving herself able on the battlefield in the Basin’s warrior ranks, we can’t wait to see her test her mettle against the looming Kaos happenings! Congratulations!

Sabia couldn't mope about anymore because she had a job to do, horses weren't going to stop getting hurt because she had been raped. If the Throat needed something she would answer, that day Essetia came and took her away from the Threshold was the day Sabia signed a contract giving the little bits of her life away to a bigger cause. So this morning the mare raised herself from the warm sands and headed off to do her job. Sabia's stomach was getting bigger and at sometimes she swears that there is something moving inside. Carrying a child was supposed to be a magical thing where the little foal inside of you brought a pair closer together, well Sabia couldn't feel more alone and hollow inside...
Sabia had made it to the Thistle Meadow before she grew too tired to try and fly anymore, which was fine she knew peppermint and thyme could possible grow here. The two herbs were used for simple things but bringing them back to the herd wouldn't hurt anybody, and besides the view was amazing. The sun, high in the sky warmed Sabia's back and put her in a more relaxed state. In fact as the mare looked for herbs she began to hum...maybe the foal would like that, she knew she had when she was little and her mother sang to her.
By the afternoon a pile of thyme and other herbs laid neatly atop a large leaf, Sabia would fold the leaf and carry it back to her herd. Sabia wasn't quiet ready to leave though, this place was quiet and peaceful Sabia could be alone and not be worried constantly.
Allowing the cool stream water to slide down her throat Sabia sighed, this is the most realaxed she had been in a long time. "I'm sure you're enjoying it as well" she said glancing at her stomach. Sabia had mixed emotions about the thing growing inside of her, it was part Sabia part...monster, could she bare to care for a foal who was unwillingly conceived? For now Sabia had no answer she would have to see how it ended...
Put me through hell again, I miss the fire.
Notes: Open to all! Just a sad pregnant gal collecting herbs!
My hooves were small but growing, just heavy enough to leave mini, shield-like markings in the clover I walked across. The pegasus had been here for some time if the pile of plants by her feet were anything to go by, she tugged at weedy stalks as though something heavy weighed on her mind. Or maybe that was my immediate assumption of things, that adults were always deep in the mire of their own thoughts. She just looked so distracted it was hard to think anything else, for her plump sides and flustered jerking had captured my focus. "What is that?" I say, tempering my voice, soft so as not to startle her if she did not already know I was there.
I motion toward the growing mountain of plants, the pile looked sticky with some creamy substance leaking from the torn stumps. I was no specialist, I knew how to hide in the grass not identify it, and yet this woman either knew what she was doing or felt it necessary to weed the meadow. Somehow I just could not see an adult making such a silly mistake, so why did she pick that particular plant to pull? If I was going to spend the day here I might as well learn something while I was at it.
The warm sun beat down on the woman’s back like a warm comfort making her tired and lazy, she was thinking of just taking what she had of the thyme and leaving so she could take a nap. A healer’s job was tiresome really. The birds around her cawed and crooned, taking flight into the air and then settling down again. Sabia, even half deaf knew that meant that something else was here.
The feathered mare turned her head and froze seeing the little thing standing behind her, children terrified her, the thing inside her terrified her. Sabia perked up her one working ear at the little filly so it looked as if she only had one ear, and in reality she did only have one ear. When the filly asked her question Sabia’s green eyes went from her to the pile of thyme, why were children so curious?
“Well...you know when your tummy really hurts and your healer gives you these?” she asked flicking her tail at the pile. “It’s called thyme and it makes your tummy feel better” she spoke in a silky calm voice.
Where was this child’s mother? It worried her, would a mother come rushing at Sabia thinking she was hurting the kid? So she decided to ask.
“Where is your mother?...what is your name?” she questioned. “Im Sabia, of the Dragon’s Throat.”
