-For the purpose of the initial thread/mini plot line/thing I'm setting this just after Cera offered her the passage over the bridge-

SHE recovers some of her poise..ok not really...but she tries. In the face of Cera's dazzling grins and Hector's concerned and helpful gaze could she really be blamed? The rhetoric of stunned -shy- embarrassed filly was getting old but she'd eventually lose it. Really, all she longed for was a combination of being alone and yet kept company by a mate. Ahh, youth was pushing her towards single-mindedness though she was so much more.  It was a frustrating situation where she felt as if she only came across as flat and boring instead of showing the depth she knew she had. Where were the flowing thoughts of depth and logic she'd been raised on? Was it gone with her father? Because her only thoughts were simplistic and her eyes kept wandering towards Cera's muscles in spite of herself. However childish and stupid she came across there was nothing the mare could do for the moment. She pushed out a sincere and calm response to both the older males. " Thank you very much for taking the time from your day to assist me Cera. And Hector, thank you for meeting me here with such speed so that I was not left wondering long. I certainly hope we can meet again soon!"

Eldala, the situation now sorted, pushed her thoughts to the side...as she did in every interaction she'd had lately. As Hector took his leave, the terrene mare began to walk confidently forward, and then stopped suddenly. Her eyes flashed over to the golden crafter,  "Umm, so.. Will this invisible bride make me fly or do I just like...walk on it?"Her voice is confident but her words betray her uncertainty and her youth. /I feel like this wouldn't be something you'd want to trip or lose your balance while using, regardless of the method./

Would she feel as a pegasus felt soaring above the clouds? Certainly, it wouldn't have as free a track as their wings but it might still be a taste of things. Her tired eyes look out over the ocean with a mixture of desire and apprehension. To feel as the seagulls and pegasi would certainly be a great thing indeed.

Yes, school and life ate my time. I feel horrible for the impossible length of time I took  to get this out but here it is, short but hopefully readable. =p **edit: bridge

I'M SO SORRY FOR HOW LONG THIS TOOK

- - -

Cera is not one for overt flirtations, but he can't help it when she's just so cute. He is not normally the dominant one in these types of settings, for he's a veritable magnet for hardass mares with similar attitudes. She reminds him of his sister a little, which makes him want to tug playfully at her mane and coo and tease her. Not that he would when she's a diplomat from another herd seeking his own herd's materials, but he feels it nonetheless.

The ease of his shoulders settles further when Hector departs - the prickling, needling sensation that appears whenever the stallion is near finally fading away and allowing the Prince the peace he needs to deal with this situation elegantly.

Eldala's sweet voice brings his consciousness back to the fray, and he turns to smile down at her warmly. "It's no trouble at all! Escorting a lovely lady through my herdlands? What a burden on me," he teased good-naturedly, his magnetic grin stretching wider beneath twinkling eyes. With a gallant gesture of his wing he escorted the mare to the start of the bridge, excited for her reaction when the key would take hold and carry her across. Of course, for an earthbound creature, he could not fault her for her fears and his smile went from large and playful to soothing and sincere.

"Wings of fire will form along your back, but the flames will not harm you, and you will go across as if you fly just like a pegasus." He flared the primaries of his wings elegantly, smiling encouragingly at her to take those first few steps to allow the magic to take hold. "I'll fly right alongside you, I promise." The palm trees were not far from the other side, after all. They wouldn't be bothered with a long journey through the sand dunes.

ELDALA can't help but laugh at his corny joke. Its probably only him being polite but it keeps her relaxed so he must be doing something right. Feeling bold she replies, "Oh, I'm sure about as much of a burden as mine..being escorted by a dashing golden knight and all."  /Stop being so saucy or you'll scare him away./ His next phrase of assurance was precisely what she wanted to hear, though, no corn at all. She'd have wings of her own!! A smile spread through her face and the mare may or may not have bounced a few times before exclaiming, "Fabulous!" With all the excitement of a foal she turns about at a full run towards the spot he'd motioned. In the span of mere moments she felt the magic, wild and strong, take hold of her as she took to the sky with a joyful leap.

The terrene mare throws her head back in exhilaration as a huge bout of laughter bubbles up.
"Gods, do you ever get used to this? Its incredible!!" She yells over the wind to her guide. All about her the world was laid out for her eyes. The trees were so small and the ocean so bright and clear. Oh! If only she could fly higher she might dine with the very gods themselves! Her brief freedom from the shackles of the Earth was fast coming to a close but before her prison rose up to bind her down once more she took a moment to cement the image of the awe-inspiring horizon in her mind's eye. The hope, the freedom, this moment had lent her would not soon be forgot.

In all too short a passing moment she'd reached the Dragon's Throat. Her hooves stumble a bit against the deep sand, causing the air to leave her in a small whoosh, but she quickly rights herself to face her host. "If that is even a fraction of what you experience I now understand why Pegasi always spend so much time in the air! Thank you!" Her eyes were wild with adrenaline and excitement as she spoke but she still remembered herself enough to wait for his response. /I mean, your body isn't half bad either, golden child./

Eldala, her adrenaline now diminished some, returns her mind to the matter at hand and begins scanning the land for palm trees.  A small ways away she spots a few prime specimens and her eyes light up. /This is really turning out to be a fantastic day so far, all pretty mares aside! First lovely studs, then exactly what I need for crafting! The possibilities are endless today. Ahaha/   She smiles charmingly at Cera, awaiting his lead.

No worries, we'll still finish this up before the next season! haha If you need Cera to have something to talk about to Dala while they gather the materials she'll happily listen to stories of the Gods! =) She still doesn't know very much, lol.

Cera can't help the laugh that bubbles in his throat at her playful flirtations, amused by the interaction with the cute little mare. He was not one to flirt and gallivant about, but Mercutio had unlocked a part of the Prince that was far more dashing and confident than he'd ever thought himself capable of. It was nice, to feel like he was settled in his own skin, and he appreciated the banter it opened up between himself and Eldala.

Whatever he intends to say is lost to the wind as she excitedly charges for the bridge, and Cera laughs once more and with a powerful downward stroke of his wings takes off from the sand, coasting easily alongside her as the magic takes hold of her body and escorts her across. He grins at her wild excitement, tucking his legs in and flying perpendicular to the water, indulging in a bit of acrobatics with her joy so plain to see.

"Never!" he shouted back with a laugh. He had been born for the skies, and while many years stretched ahead of him, Cera prayed that he would never forget the love for the heavens he'd always held. It was a new exhilaration every day. When she landed on the other side he smiled brightly at her, and felt his heart flutter with her exuberance. Finally someone understood and appreciated what pegasi had.

"You're very welcome," he grinned, even if it had not been by his hand that she'd experienced the sensation. The Golden Prince turned and took the lead, Ilaria already eager to get her paws on the fronds. Most of the work would be done by he and her, after all. "Here we are!" he chirped, and his trot elongated into an effortless leap into the sky, drawing him heavenwards until he could awkwardly land at the top. Ilaria jumped down and started helping rip the fronds off with her paws while Cera utilized his weight to kick the branches and snap them, sending them twirling and fluttering down to the sands. He even kicked off a few of the more persistent coconuts that hadn't fallen with his descent. It wasn't long before a pile had gathered at the base, and so Cera retrieved his lovely companion and they spiraled around the tree on his gilded wings, landing with a soft thud upon the sand. Hopefully Eldala had already been grouping the fronds, for Ilaria had a long strip of bark that she used to tie the leaves together into one nicely stacked pile for Eldala to carry.

"I hope that helps," Cera smiled, a light sheen of sweat on his muscles from the workout, making him glow all the more like his title. "If you're ready, I can escort you back?" What a shame, too, that she'd only come on a herd mission. He quite liked her.
