Alune was gone. Disappeared after Kaos’s bone monster (—something they had created) in the Spectral Marsh. Part of the King was worried about the Moon-coated man—had Kaos sought to exact revenge on the Moon’s challenge at the Endless Blue by stealing away her Seer? ..Or, perhaps the starry giant had opted to serve the Moon in his homelands one more, where the evening lady reigned supreme and there were no wayward, violent Rift Gods to contend with.

Whatever the cause, their Seer was gone. And, with the Earth God disbanding the Hidden Falls, it left a strong sense of unease in the Elephant King’s barrel. And he knew he was not alone; Alysanne, too, was anxious over the Falls' disappearance. The goddess, though assuredly preferring her handsome, indigo Seer over himself, had heeded his calls once before.

Perhaps now, with his chest laden with worry for her herdlands, she might note and respond to his calls once again. His ears swiveled with doubt. Mbwene (rather unceremoniously) snorted through her long trunk, ’Too misty.’ Her frank assessment of the evening on the cliffs was tart because she was tired, ’Too late,’ she tacked on, tasseled tail swatting in irritation at her wrinkled haunches. It was the middle of the evening, but “I am calling for the Moon, Mbwen,” was his mildly amused, deep rumble.

Then, standing perched atop the cliffs, his low whicker rumbled out in the thickly misted night. It was easily lost amid the muted roar of the rolling waves below. And that was somehow okay with the King—as if it would give some reason for the Moon to ignore him and lessen the apprehension in his chest about the Edge if their patron did not appear.

To say that Alysanne had been troubled lately would be a bit of an understatement. The betrayal of Kisamoa was a storm inside of her head, fuelled by the terrible news that the Hidden Falls had been disbanded by their God. She felt only mildly comforted by the fact that Tembovu shared her fears that the Edge might be next - at least she wasn’t just letting her paranoia drive her insane with imaginary, terrible scenarios.

What would she be, without this place? She had arrived here almost five years ago.

She made her way to the cliffs in the evening, the mists crowding around but the sky clear and bright overhead. When Alysanne arrived, she whickered a soft greeting to Tembovu as she came to stand beside him - the tone almost friendly - and her glass and purple halter jingled with a light, twinkling noise as she did so. In light of everything that had happened, that was happening, her apprehensions about the King were put on the back burner. Or maybe they had actually lessened? It was hard to tell, since she was avoiding thinking about it so completely. But either way, it encouraged her to stand nearby (closer, less awkwardly, beside him than the last time).

Her heart hammered with nerves as they waited, watchful and hopeful that the Moon would appear and bring good news.

She just could not get used to the idea of Alune not being there to do the summoning. For as long as she had lived within the World's Edge, he had been there like a steady rock for her to lean on, a constant presence throughout her turbulent youth. But it had been a while since she had seen him now, not since the last herd meeting, and when for the second time it was the King that called for the presence of the Lady, something knotted within her. The tightness persisted all the while as she made her way towards the cliffs, hurrying as best she could to arrive ahead of time.

It was not easy these days, what with her leg hurting more than ever (overuse, the healers said, too much strain on too weak a fracture) and her attachment to red flowers growing stronger as a result. It was hard, but Erthë was nothing if not stubborn, and this event, this one appointment was one she refused to miss.

This time she did not question Tembovu as she stepped up to join him by the drop-off, but despite the smile she gave him and the greeting wicker she offered Alysanne as the queen arrived ahead of herself, her eyes could not completely hide how wrong she thought the whole situation was. Alune was missing and the king was doing the seer's job along with his own - how was that right? How could that continue, without something going horribly wrong somewhere?

"It looks like a good night for a summoning" she noted quietly, as the tail wrapped in loose coils around a leg. Settling in, not quite able to make herself comfortable even though her stance remained relaxed, she added; "But then again, most nights probably are."

"Have you heard... anything?"
Not meaning to ask, the question nevertheless slipped from her before she could stop herself, and Erthë bit her lip. Surely Tembovu would have said something already if he knew where Alune had disappeared to. Surely he would be the first to hear any news, before the lowly student ever did...

Well. She supposed it couldn't be helped. Her Shan'do was missing, and she missed him. It was as simple as that.

Maude had taken most of the late afternoon off, having rose extra early that morning to attend to her greenhouse duties, and the small seeds that had not yet become seedlings in her small, glass pots. Though she kept to her studies in the gardens, the filly had taken to returning home to Trewdwellan at least twice throughout the day, to make sure her precious, baby plants were receiving the proper amount of light to shade, and that the soil was suitably damp. Today, however, all these things had been crammed into the hours before the Sun had reached the third quarter of the horizon from where it rose each morning, and she had spent most of that time between her final task’s completion, and the rising of the Moon, asleep in the cool hollow beneath Trewdwellan.

However, as darkness descended over the Edge, and the low laying mists of the day rose into the head high, swirling realm of mystery for which the land was renowned, the eager child awakes, and heads out towards the cliffs.

Traveling at an easy lope, she is hardly weary at all when she comes upon the King and Queen, looking about with surprise, to discover she is one of the first to come. Happy to see Erthë, however, her (perhaps) over eagerness to see the Moon again lends a certain bouncy cheer to her step as she goes to stand alongside her friend, cheerfully nickering a greeting to the somewhat morose seeming Sage.

Is something wrong, Erthë?” she asks, sincerely, her light green eyes turning to meet her pale friend’s icy blues.

i am a leaf on the wind

She has only seen their Goddess a handful of times. In truth, she did not know what to make of the Moon, exactly. The Gods were still a foreign thing to her, and thought they’d more than clearly proven themselves to be real here, she had a hard time wrapping her mind around it. In Morham, they had served the Wind or Fire or Earth as elements and elements only. All powerful horses did not embody those elements.

It is late, the evening misty, and Lyanna restless. It’s a beautiful evening, truthfully, and she wiles away the time wandering through the forest. If she cannot sleep, she might as well move. The sound of the Kings call is a quiet thing, and in truth, she isn’t sure she hears it at all. She might just imagine it, but the sight of him and Alysanne near the cliff draws her out. Erthe and Maude, both familiar faces though it had been some time since she’d seen Erthe around.

Lyanna smiles at that. It’s been some time since she’s seen the girl. It’s enough to bring her completely out of the trees to join the same group. Alune is unmistakably absent from this group though, Erthe’s words drifting to Lyanna as she closes the distance between them. It had seemed like they must be calling to their Lady, the King and Queen standing together in the middle of a mistly night on the cliffs. What else could they be doing?

Well…but she doesn’t let that thought get too far. It was perhaps inappropriate. Instead, she whickers a greeting, a quiet sound, almost afraid to disturb the evening if she is too loud. Afraid, in truth, that she could somehow cause the Moon not to come. The Moon, who certainly paid little to no mind to Lyanna. “May I join you?” she asks, coming to stand beside Erthe and offering a nod to the group. Like her whicker, she keeps her voice quiet, reverent, waiting to see what the night would bring.

The nights that do not bring sleep bring either amazing or terrible things.

watch how i soar.

like a jar, you housed infinite tenderness

Ignorance is bliss; and it seems there is no better time than now, this very night, to have insomnia. The little golden foreigner, entirely unaware of the importance of what is occurring just beyond the limits of sight and sound, wanders aimlessly through the mists. The smell of others makes her alter her course towards the cliff’s edge, but she misses the beginning of this Very Important Thing. Black-tipped aurelian feathers ruffle up against the breeze off the sea as the edge of the gathering comes into view and she is pleased to see both Lyanna and Erthe there. The filly, Maude, whom she’d seen several times, seems to have no interest in Yael (ever), so the petite pegasus sidles quietly up on the other side of Lyanna.

And as always, she asks the teal-tipped mare her eternal question - but in hushed tones, having taken notice of the silence and tense nature of the group. With a gentle brush against Lyanna's shoulder, she inquires “Vhat ees going on?,” though by the time the question is finished, she is none to sure that she should even be there. You know, with the night time secrecy, and the silent watching (waiting, it seems) that is happening. At least from her, there is only innocent curiosity and no anxiety.

And you never know, Yael might be surprisingly useful someday - perhaps today - nay, tonight - is that night.

God of the Moon
lady diamond in the sky
The Goddess hears the call of the King, and a smile plays on her lips as the sound reaches her ears through the magical mechanics that make such things possible. Prayer, when you think about it, was rather remarkable. She could hear his thoughts if she chose. As she robbed herself in flesh, the Goddess briefly wondered if any of them bothered to think about just how private their lives really were.

She doubted it.

A patch of darkness appeared, and, as if emerging through a black curtain, the Goddess suddenly stepped forward. Though she was no where near the tallest in the group, her arrival demanded observation and her posture required respect. The delicate curve of her face was drenched in moonlight, and a soft sparkle shimmered across her folded wings and the delicate lines of her lilac body.

She had noticed, and yet did not comment on, Alune's absence. The King had not qualified his prayer to her with absolution or justification for the Seer's disappearance, which the Goddess approved of. They both knew that he had been vacant for longer than they each had cared to admit. But now, if Tembovu was here for what she thought he was, that would have to be rectified.

"King." She purred, eyes on Tembovu. "Queen." The Goddess continued wondering when Alysanne would finish her quest. Honestly, it wasn't that hard, was it? A smile tugged at her lips as she spied a new face in the crowd, as well as some of the younger members of the herd. For a moment her gaze lingered on Erthe, who had stormed away from her like a petulant child when she had rescued Mauja from his cliff. Still, she smiled, before looking back to the King.

"I'm beginning to think you like my company, Tembovu." She purred again, her voice a melodic wind chime.

Ru touches down after a long and lengthy flight across the lands. Slowly absorbing the facial features of the Edge with great detail. And using the sky to knit together mental images, that will hopefully aid her in her duties. It will take longer still, however, to familiarize herself, for there are more intricate secrets that reside below the old growth forest that require investigation.

For now, the youth finds her curiosity peaked by the congregation of bodies that move in and out of the mists. She follows what she recalls from the flight. Where she arrives to find familiar faces waiting at the edge of the cliffs. The mare is quiet. And seeing that she is one to trickle in, she keeps to the fringes. Not bothering to announce her arrival, and preferring the quiet that ebbs from the crushing waves below. The darkness, she feels it creeping its way in. The sun – she misses the sun, but the night has its beauty also. Considering all things terrible and wicked, the unknown was what appealed to Ru most.

Amongst the murmurs, Ru spots a blot of darkness taking precedence. The mare narrows her kohl trimmed eyes, uncertain of what to expect – and tenses, bracing for the worst. With Kaos’ most recent mayhem, it warns the girl of the prowess that follows those who commit themselves to the magics. Or of gods who claim their elements.

And there is nothing natural about the creature that moves out of those dark halls, gracing them all with raw and coiling power. Moonlight sets aglow her features. It is then that Ru takes this being to be the Moon Goddess. And though she has never met the being personally, the idea of asking the creature for a voice – to be ‘cured’, renewed, pangs blatantly inside her head.

But Ru remains reserved, still, as she lowers her head in respect. She knew nothing of these gods, and perhaps approach meant something dear to them? What if there were ceremonies and ways to gain their favors – if they indeed, required to be swayed to bless their people? Her eyes dimmed, and waited for the King’s response. All the while, setting her eyes on the Moon Goddess. Her regal posture, her lulling words that coyly grasp for the King's attentions. As if it held some hidden, double meaning that Ru could not hope to unravel.

RAEDEN
but what is love without lust

Slowly the woman moved from her small home. Tin scurried by her side as they walked the thick mist covered lands. He did not complain about having to move in the darkness. He enjoyed being out at night and it was something that just felt comforting to him. Teal eyes flicked over to the companion with a smile. Cream colored hooves moved quietly as she heard the sounds of commotion. Halting she looked over to see what Tin would say about the whole situation. He brightly looked up with green eyes, urging her to go towards the sounds. Nodding her head Raeden walked forward to step out the bush. The king and queen stood together. Then there was Maude and Lyanna standing next to a girl that was all white. Slowly she moved into the crowd when mother moon appeared.

Mixed emotions filled her heart thinking back to what Hotaru told he about the moon killed her mom and dad. She did not dare to speak out, the thud of her heart raced in her ears. Tin comforted the mare with a soft nudge to her rear legs. When she came next to Lyanna her gate finally came to a halt. Raeden enjoyed being around the moon doctor, and she always felt comfortable around her. Nickering quietly in a greeting her teal eyes fell upon the lavender woman. She was beautiful and powerful and Rae was not too sure what to do. So she stood and listened to the Mother moon speak to the king and queen. Part of her wondered what this meeting was all about.

Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.

It was strange to think Alune would not be joining them. She'd not yet had a proper meeting with the seer and regretted not being able to have a proper conversation with him. The doe would have liked to had at least one conversation with the seer, no doubt he had wisdom that would have been of great use to her. Still, there was nothing she could do for the Seer and could only hope that he would reappear soon. Which then meant that it would be up to her and the rest who filled the wise ranks to take over. Hearing the conversations the doe immediately knew that she'd better hurry. Missing a meeting with the lady of the moon was not good form, in fact it was disrespectful.

So the doe hurried through The Edge, thankfully there was not a great distance to travel. Wynter flew over head, surveying the scene from above and relaying information back to the doe. The goddess emerging from a pool of darkness and how she's only address the King and Queen. Maude had gathered and seemed to be concerned about the youngster Erthë. It did not appear that her daughter yet know of Alune's absence. Hurrying faster now she finally emerged from the trees and joined among those gathered. Moving to stand next to her daughter she dipped her head respectfully to the lady, also hoping that the gestured conveyed her apologies for being tardy.

With the goddess focused on their leaders, the doe took a moment to cast a concerned eye over her daughter. Arah did not like the idea of her daughter traveling around the Edge unaccompanied at night. For the most part she thought the Edge was safe and the best place to raise young. They had many strong defenders, an abundance of healers, sleuths to watch their backs, crafters which enabled trade and the wise ranks to oversee education. But at night the land became the danger, the cliff precarious and difficult to manurer in the limited lighting. Maude was fine and Maude was here now anyway, she'd save the warning words for after the meeting. Turning back to the Lady, Arah watched in silence, waiting to hear what the plans for the herd were next. "Speech."

And I ain't afraid to die, I’m afraid of going to hell.

ISOPIA
Consider your origin. You were not formed to live like brutes but to follow virtue and knowledge.

It felt strange to be late to something ... after all, in her previous life (as she was now thinking of it), she had gone from being the Storyteller of the Falls and the one who would call her Father whenever they needed to him, the leader of them. It was always her doing the calling and the beginning of things. She never had to rush to her hooves to try and obey an order. There was something immensely unsatisfying about it, and yet she immediately came anyways.

Better late than never, isn't that what they say?

The Goddess had arrived arrived and was surrounded by several members of the herd that Isopia didn't actually know. Silently, not wanting to draw attention to herself, Isopia stood by a tree, hoping that the slender trunk would help to make her appear not quite as large as she actually was. Other than Tembovu, she towered above all those already assembled. She'd considered arriving as a raven, but, given her new trying-to-fit-in attitude that she'd adopted, she thought immediately hiding herself in another body was rather the wrong way to go.

So here she was, clothed in her own skin, ready to listen. Iso had caught none of what Tembovu or Alysanne had said, or even the Moon Goddess. She didn't know the point of this gathering, but was confident enough in her own mental capacities to figure it out as they went.

let's let the stars watch, let them stare
Things hadn’t been the same since Kisamoa had revealed himself to be Kaos.  Maybe life had gone back to normal for some people, but certainly not for me.  No.  I couldn’t help but think that everything was different now, somehow, even though nothing more had come from the monster in the marshes.  I still knew that he was there.  We all did.

For the first time in my whole life, I had wanted to be alone after returning from the marshes.  I was confused.  I was hurt.  I was angry.  The combination of all of those things was just so overwhelming that I needed the space to try to come to terms with the fact that I didn’t know how to process all of this at once, and that it wasn’t fair to put all of the burden on Papa’s shoulders.  I needed to figure out how to deal with this on my own.  And I had, in time, in much part due to Everly’s calming influence.  But that didn’t mean that I wasn’t still on Edge. Fear was a relatively new emotion for me, maybe not the acute type, but the lingering anxiety that had settled in my stomach.

Anxiety that spiked when I came across a large gathering on the Edge of the cliffs.  My heart sputtered in my chest.  I stood frozen for a moment before inching my way towards the group, afraid that I may find the monster of bones standing over the body of another herd mate.

I breathed a sigh a relief when I saw who it was everyone had gathered around.

“Grandmama,” I breathed, happily, pleased to see her here.  However, just like before, I knew that she was here for the herd - not on personal business. So even though I wanted to push through the crowd and stand as closely as I could, I restrained myself.  But I was glad she was here. Just her presence was enough to chase away the demons that lingered in the back of my mind.  As long as the Moon was here, we’d be safe.  Before I moved closer to the group and all those I recognized amongst those who had gathered, my eye wandered.

Someone else lingered on the outskirts.  One who was, quite honestly, hard to miss. I gravitated over towards the stranger, hoping that she wouldn’t mind the company.  It wasn’t until I stepped up to her side that I notice just how tall she was.  However, I was undeterred.

“Hi!” I said, quietly, to the stranger who towered over all of the rest.  I looked up at the woman with wide, silver eyes, wondering why it was that she didn’t elect to join the others.  But then again, I hadn’t joined the group either. “I’m Vesper. Are you new?” I asked, even though I was pretty sure I already knew the answer to my question.

Tandavi & Natraj

Meeting.

Another one?

Summon Moon.

Oh.

"Oh." It hangs in the space of their bond, a single syllable full of meaning and trepidation. Despite being daughter of a family that worships night, the girl has always felt dismay when faced with the Moon. She much prefers the glow of the Sun, the warm familiarity of a world awash with light and color, to the gloom of that celestial realm. Still leery of evening, still prone to ill dreams in the dark, still pained by the memory of Hototo's fall, she balks at the idea of meeting he Mother's mistress face to face once more.

Her brother, though far from her, senses this hesitation, but refuses to coax, to pester and prod. Instead he sends his sister the equivalent of a mental shrug and makes his way toward Alysanne, boldly seeking to gain Hemlock's attention, to glean some insight from his winged friend.

Natraj's indifference is the Fire Dancer's catalyst; with grim determination she makes her way toward the gathering, following the silver strand of magic that makes their bond. Copper child need not travel far before her destination is reached; she can sense the swelling tide of power, see and taste their tumultuous tide of magic on the air. Few are familiar; most are not; the copper child makes her way among them hesitantly, bright figure painfully aglow with the many sources of light she carries.

Her eyes remain trained on the Moon. Bathed in lilac and wreathed in silver, the Goddess is just as beautiful and dangerous as Fire Dancer remembers. The girl's expression is guarded, unsure; she yearns for the Moon's approval, but fears it, too; she yearns to fill the hoofprints of mother and aunt, but knows that the moonlight is not where she belongs. Reverence wars with uncertainty and ultimately wins- the girl bows her head in respect before finding her place on the outskirts of the gathering, near to one she recognizes from the last meeting - Lyanna, the other Moon Doctor - and a winged mare awash in gold. Fire Dancer offers a nod to the pair, dark eyes curious and expression attentive.

From his place near the Queen, Natraj sends back a wave of approval before turning his attention back to the Moon.

Black rimmed ears tilted backwards as he heard the appearance of others—though much was muffled by the thick mist. Dark navy eyes turned away from the fog-shrouded waves when a question was aimed directly of him at his flank, from a familiar voice so familiar: “Have you heard…anything?” Dark eyes find Erthe’s mismatched ones, thick lips pressed in a disappointed and sad line as he slowly and gently shook his head in response to her painfully hopeful question. His muzzle reached out towards her as he saw her teeth worry her lip (—though he could not help his quick inhale for any scent of the weed’s sweet, milky sap that she was so dependent on—)…

But his attention swung away from Erthe as the King felt the swath of darkness begin to consolidate in the mist. “King,” his ears twitched at the Moon’s sensual purr—his home life had been…troubled as of late, and some needs had been left…unattended to. Lines creased the black edges of his dark navy eyes as his lips pressed in a slight line—irritation at himself for having wayward thoughts and not being wholly focused on the Goddess (—who, most assuredly, required his full attention—). His head dipped deeply in both deference and greeting as he internally wrestled.

However, his self-imposed ire melted away as a rueful, lopsided grin curved up his thick dark lips at her next, melodious purr: ”I'm beginning to think you like my company, Tembovu.” A short, low chuckle rumbled deep in his throat as he replied, “It would seem so, my Lady. And I would that is a good thing, else I am King of the wrong herd.” Briefly a fleeting thought dashed through his mind—the Moon Goddess had not appointed him…did she approve of his leadership? But the fleeting thought was just that: fleeting. Tembovu was not a man who needed affirmation or continual approval. If the Goddess did not care for his leadership (or Alysanne’s), then she would let her displeasure known.

So, instead, his consciousness claimed onto the reason for calling the Goddess from her celestial domain, “My goddess, the Falls has fallen, disbanded by the Earth,” he shifted his great bulk, gaze flicking from her endless silver wells to the soft lavender curves, know that he said nothing she did not already know, “And I—we—” his thick horn gestured towards all those Edgers that had gathered on the misted cliffs already, “—do not wish that fate for the Edge.”

He paused, dark cobalt gaze sweeping back to her enigmatically beautiful features, “Though you’ve not given us reason to worry or question your patronship, is there anything we may do to strengthen it?”

As normal, the King is a great deal less playful than the Goddess would have him be. But still, he was much less uptight than he had once been. That was something, she supposed. He had potential, this King. He really did. Not since Mauja had a leader so completely dominated her lands in a way that she found pleasing. And unlike Mauja, this one didn't seem to have plans to disappear anytime soon. Perhaps he was worth investing in...

"Oh I know all that." She breathed, flicking a wing with annoyance as the conversation turned to the Falls. "My poor brother and his bleeding heart and all that." Her lips turned downwards in a scowl at the pathetic speech the Earth had given as he outlined his reasons for disbanding his herd land. He had mentioned failure, but that didn't even come close. The Falls - or the Foothills - had always been a train wreck, because he was a train wreck. He never really had the strength to do what was needed. He cared too much about feelings and being loved.

The Goddess shrugged.

"Although the Falls always was weak, they also appeared weak. There is something to be said about power that hides in the shadows and attacks from out of nowhere, but having strength that everyone can see also has its merits." Her gaze looked around, falling on one of the cliff faces that jutted out precariously over the sea. Slowly her eyes came back, falling on those who arrived late to the meeting. "Perhaps if there was a place that could serve such a purpose - an outward sign of the strength of the Edge and the Moon, but also a place where you could congregate. When Alune was around-" (The displeasure and annoyance in ehr voice suddenly became palpable) "He simply yelled at the sky, and I had to appear wherever it was that he had been. There is something settling and reassuring about tradition and ritual, something which had been lost as of late. If you had... say..."

Suddenly a mirage of a majestic structure appeared on the cliff face she had previously been looking at. It was almost like a cathedral, composed of a brilliant array of glass. Even in its illusory form, it sparkled as faux-lighting scattered through the stained glass windows.

"...something like that, we wouldn't have to keep meeting out in the open like this."

The illusion faded as her gaze turned to Tembovu.

"What say you King? "

A black-rimmed ear tilted sideways, in both uncertainty and mild exasperation at the Moon’s sudden and dismissive wing-flick of the Earth’s abandonment of his herdlands. Though his navy gaze did not leave her lavender face as he closely watched her ominous (if beautiful) scowl. Though, at her shrug, he allowed his eyes to glance towards those herd members already gathered, briefly wondering what they made of their patron goddess— and whose job it may become to interact with the Lady of the Night. Though the Elephant King did admire the curves of her soft lavender skin, he oft felt (appropriately) at a constant disadvantage when speaking with the Moon. She was as Goddess, after all.

His glancing, navy, gaze was powerfully drawn back the moment hers looked around; and he found himself looking directly at the cliffs she had found of interest, of no volition of his own… Perhaps her power running through his veins from ruling her herdland for so long granted her more power over him as it did him power over her lands. The thought was equal parts unsettling and intriguing.

Regardless, his dark eyes watching widened slightly at the appearance of the mirage—a lovely structure befitting of the Moon’s elegance (and also her flair for drama, precariously perched on limestone cliffs). He studied it until it faded, though his ears swiveled towards the Moon, “…we wouldn’t have to keep meeting you in the open like this.” Thick lips pressed in a small, pursed, lopsided grin and his brows raised in mock-surprise as he swung his great head back towards the Lavender Lady, “You wish for more secret meetings, my lady? Are you embarrassed by your King? Or have you more private agendas?” His head shook slightly with a short, low, rumbling chuckle in his throat, allowing himself to tease a Goddess just this once.

And then, on a more serious note, he added, “I say yes, Lady Moon. Tell us how we might build—or earn— such a structure.”

Ah! Playfulness! Perhaps there was something inside of Tembovu that wasn't just all militant might and braun. It made the Goddess' lips curl upwards got just a second, before her smile faded away like so much black smoke.

"Excellent. I will only require a few small things in order to assist with this task. Nothing so complicated as your last quest...and certainly no thickets, illusory or otherwise, will be harmed in the making of your new temple. " Another cold smile. "There is water near the Haruspex's mirror in the Basin .. I require some of it, as well as ash from the Diviner's fire in the Dragon's Throat. Steal it, barter for it, or simply ask for it. It doesn't matter to me. I will also need coloured stones from at least four different areas of Helovia's Wilds. Finally, if you could help clear the area where the temple will be built, I'd be ever so grateful. It isn't my kind of dirty." She added with another grin.

Pausing, the Goddess looked around as if silently counting in her mind. One short, she thought to herself, lips twisting downwards. They would need a new Seer, since Alune had decided to drop off the face of the earth. Perhaps he'd found himself a glacier, as Mauja had. With a huff, the Goddess turned her gaze to her niece, Isopia. She was fond of the girl, and she had experience both as a seer, and dealing with the Gods. She'd do. "Isopia shall be your new Seer." Turning her eyes towards the demi-goddess, she offered a mocking smile. "Congratulations"

To complete the template, the Edge must

1. Obtain ash from the Dragon's Throat Diviners fire, and obtain water from the pool near the Aurora Basin's mirror
2. They must clear the area where the temple will be built of all debris (rocks, trees, etc)
3. Obtain coloured stones from at least 4 of the Wilds

15 ranked characters must most twice, and 50% of your non-ranked characters must post once (so 16 [(47-15)/2 = 16]), meaning it will take 46 posts to complete this quest.

ISOPIA
Consider your origin. You were not formed to live like brutes but to follow virtue and knowledge.

Isopia was no stranger to the Goddess's ways of doing things. She'd been born in the Edge after all, and owed her very existence to the Goddess. That being said, it still caught her slightly off guard how casually and easily the Goddess promoted her with nothing so much as a smile like the blade of a knife.

Was this a challenge? A punishment? Whatever it was, it certainly wasn't praise or the moon's attempt to be a good aunt to the Mountain.

Swallowing down any words that she might say, the demi-goddess merely nodded her quad-horned skull in acceptance of a position that hadn't even been offered to her. It had simply been forced upon her, like all of the other obligations that her life had begun to accumulate. Isopia let her golden eyes track downwards as the conversatoin returned back to Tembovu. There was no one in the crowd whose gaze she would want to see. Not Aly, presumably look maternal and pleased. Not Ros, probably looking confused, or Mesec probably looking even more confused, but in a more charming way. Not Tembovu or any of the others.

Instead, she tried to slowly sidle back into the ground, to disappear into their midst, and think about what to do next.

At the word that there would be a temple, Maude’s heart immediately began to beat faster, and excited trill at the illusion of it standing on the Cliffside escapes her copper toned lips. Excited to begin work on it, the girl eagerly looks about at the adults around, her smile wide, and her hooves prancing in place. Forgetting entirely that she’d already asked a question, or that her friend is there at all, the babe finds herself completely consumed with imagined moments in the still fictional glass halls she had glimpsed overlooking the sea.

How her songs would carry through them! She dreamily envisions, already working on the few pieces she’s written in the Moon’s honor in her mind, for the day the temple doors open.

A temple!” she cheers, at last, happily looking over towards her chilly friend, and nudging her shoulder gently, if she'll allow, “isn’t that just wonderful? I can’t wait to get started.
