Her thoughts return to the present as the Seer affirms what they’ve all heard, and Amaris repeats it. Yael nods her assent, but then another thought floats into her head and it seems awfully important, so she asks. “Vhat should ve do eef ve find somezing eemportant? Share amongst ze xerds or breeng eet back to you…? Are you vaiting for us to catch up to vhat you already know?” Part of her immediately regrets the question, knowing full well that it might be seen as impudent - but the Goddess seemed to have an air of know-all that was not present in the previous times Yael’s seen her. She felt like a silly child, being nudged in the right direction on an easter egg hunt. It’s easy to say such things when one possesses a great deal of power that enables one to find the truth.
She’s not sure which is worse: allowing Helovians to make up their own minds and die due to the Gods hiding information, or letting them follow a God’s direction like a lemming, simply because their chosen deity says something is so. Looks like Yael has quite the war waging inside her, demons and feelings she never knew she had. If only they could figure out what’s really going on… then maybe she can make the right choice. Be on the right side of things. Keep others from being hurt. Atone for everything in the past... and apologize profusely if the Goddess happens to be offended.
