DO YOU FEEL LIKE A YOUNG GOD?

After leaving the threshold, the duo had an extreme urge to visit the place of Kiada and her twin’s birth. It was something deep within her that craved the need to return to the blood falls, a place of constant red and darkness that intrigued the girl far more than anywhere else on Helovia – aside from the Marsh of course. Instead of returning home and meandering around the Edge, they set their course to where it all started.

After a bit of traveling, they could see it begin to crest over the horizon line, dark red trees beginning to lose their bloody leaves and paint the ground with a rich scarlet. It was nearly noon at this point, but there was a certain darkness of this place that made Kiada feel at home. As they reached closer and began to become embraced by the land, she felt the sun begin to disappear, leaving only behind the faint red strands of it filtered through the thick canopy.

Khairi was far too excited about this endeavor. The vulture taking to the skies and shrieking in his dark cackling ways as he flew away from his bonded and returned, passing over to do it all again and again. Kiada couldn’t help but to laugh at the bird, a small smirk gracing the corners of her pink splotched lips while she shook her inky head. “Wewe ni ajabu, rakifi yangu.” She called out after the bird, receiving nothing more than the echo of a caw as he raced away once more.

wewe ni ajabu, rafiki yangu. - you are strange, my friend.

Manhood suits him, he thinks.

Arakh is a rather simple creature and not prone to fits of vanity, but he cannot help glowing at the way he has developed recently. Upon reaching his second birthday he seemed to fill out noticeably, with firm muscles rippling beneath grullo skin and a stallion's arch appearing on the crest of his neck. The bull horns that looked so out of place upon his younger self now sit like a proud crown atop his head, curved and powerful; his pride and joy.

Those feathered wings that he once struggled to control are now wielded with ease, enabling him to twist and turn through the skies like the most nimble of birds. That's what he's doing today, soaring over the Blood Falls with his head angled downwards to admire the world spread out beneath him, from the crimson trees to the haunting ruby falls that dominate the landscape. The dying sun seems to cast the whole world into sharp relief, and the young stallion can't help but admire it.

That's when Arakh sees the white bird. He knows that bird - there are few with that unique colouration. The sight of it makes his heart pound, and suddenly there's an ache between his muscular thighs as he thinks of the vulture's bonded, the beautiful filly he'd met in the snow. Alas, this is an unwanted side-effect of his growth to stallionhood - these urges that he doesn't understand, that make him want to mount anything that stands before him long enough. Without a mother or father to give him 'the talk' so he knows that what he's experiencing is normal, Arakh is terrified that these urges are unnatural and embarrassing, which is why he's turned into something of a recluse in recent weeks. How can he be around other horses when his primal desire is to crush them beneath his bulk and give in to the ache, the heat that consumes him?

Being around Kiada, the first one to incite such feelings when he was just a colt, is probably very unwise. If he struggles to control himself around others, how on earth will he conquer his desires around the beautiful fire-mare?

All the same, Arakh finds that his wings suddenly fold, casting him into a dive. He hurtles between the trees, down, down, down until he flares the feathered appendages and lands heavily beside her. Unfortunately, she is even more beautiful than she was last time. She's grown into a fine woman, and despite how much he knows he shouldn't, he finds his feral teal gaze roaming across her whole body. The twitch between his thighs resumes, and he can feel his resolve weakening. "Kiada." His voice was deep even as a boy, yet now it's positively thunderous, heavily accented and reeking of virility. He stands tall, demonstrating every thick muscle and allowing the proud horns on his head to point towards the heavens, their savage tips glistening in the sunset. "Kiada grown up. Arakh likes." There's obvious lust behind the thick voice, as much as the bull tries to hide it.

DO YOU FEEL LIKE A YOUNG GOD?

The girl wasn’t expecting the sudden shadow that crossed over her, albeit faint because of the permanent darkness of the land. Still, her ears flatten against her skull as the darkness descended in feathers and horns. Her eyes shot up, surveying the situation at hand; and without Khairi nearby she felt suddenly helpless. But she wasn’t. Immediately at the sight, of fear and anger coursing through her veins, wolves erupt on her spine and the start of a trio of tornadoes begin to spark surrounding her. She grit her teeth, prepared for the creature to land on her, but thankfully he lands heavily beside her.

As she realized who it was, and Khairi came careening back from wherever he had gone, the tornadoes ceased and a small stream of smoke began to erupt from the place of the spark. Her crystal gaze roamed over his much taller, fuller, body than he had been previously. She, herself, had changed much since the last encounter as well. She had filled out, grown taller, and the way her spots shined on her back held an almost opalescent hue to them. When Arakh spoke her name, his voice was deep, booming and honeyed in a way that almost made her heart skip a beat.

What a strange feeling it was.

“Kiada grown up. Arakh likes.” This caused a smirk to grow on Kiada’s lips before a gentle laugh escaped her lips. “Arakh.” She confirmed first, stopping in step to admire the man she once knew while they were both so young. “You look good too, mpenzi.” She purred back to him in her own deeper voice, silky and smooth with the slightest hint of sweetness. “Have you been well?” She questioned, her flames returning to normal stances of griffins and perhaps the faintest hint of a fox as she swished her charcoal tail against her equally dark hocks.

The bull's eyes shift to the three tornadoes of fire that have burst into life next to Kiada. One brow lifts, approving. "Kiada make fire too?" As the tornadoes fade away, Arakh summons two wolves of fire to prowl around them, flexing his magical muscles in a clear attempt to impress her. The wolves snarl and snap, dancing around the young mare until they return to their master and fizzle into nothingness.

Her assertion that he looks good only makes him bulk out his formidable muscles that little bit more, snorting his approval and shaking the long, luscious locks of his mane. "Arakh been good. Growing up in Throat, growing strong on Throat sand." It's no slight on the Edge, but the Throat is designed to harbour the strongest beasts in Helovia, with its arid conditions ensuring that only the most hardy can survive. It's little wonder that two of the greatest warlords in history have ruled the desert south, their bodies forged by the difficult land that they make their home.

"And Kiada?" He fixes her with his most penetrative teal stare, desperately fighting to keep the lust out of his eyes, voice and expression. If only he knew what the hint of a fox in her back-flames meant....

Kiada make fire too?” A small hum of agreement escaped her lips as two wolves of flame were summoned, prowling around them. It pressured something within her, that prompted something primal. A fiery heat within her chest and body as the wolves snarled and snapped, crackling and burning as they danced around her. A mischievous grin grew on her face as she looked to Arakh with approving, dark eyes. As he spoke, he bulked out his muscles and she watched with admiration, that strange fiery feeling billowing out through her as she watched him show off.

He spoke of how he grew, strong and powerful on the Throat’s sands. That was when Kiada stepped toward him, as if she could almost touch him. Her fur just mere inches from his own brawn. “Is it hot in the Throat?” She questioned with a tilt of her head, flicking her tail once more against her rounded hips, her head turned toward him to match his teal gaze. “I have been well too. Growing strong and powerful.” She answered with a grin, lifting her head high and proud, her white forelock dropping and covering one of her eyes as the rest of her onyx hair fell onto her gilded skin.

She hadn’t stayed in the Edge much, nor had she really spent much time with her brother. Instead, she had roamed and wandered, meeting an approving Kaos and receiving whatever compliments she wanted. But the feeling that grew within her was foreign, something about it felt almost wrong. But what it was, she didn’t know, but the flames on her back danced a different chorus, slowing becoming invaded by foxes, hunting and sitting comfortably along her spine.

She steps closer and the young stallion inflates himself that little bit more, demonstrating his superior height and the sheer masculine bulk of his body. Her question draws a nod and a guttural grunt of confirmation, his teal gaze never leaving her. "Very hot." He inserts as much hidden meaning as he possibly can into the simple sentence, allowing a small smirk to creep across the edges of his face.

The smirk widens at her next words, and this time it's him who takes a bold step closer, lowering his great horned head so as to softly snort hot air into her nostrils. "Arakh can see Kiada strong. Kiada has muscles, and....curves." As he speaks he allows his gaze to roam freely and unashamedly across these very curves, doing the equine equivalent of undressing her with his eyes. A thin sheen of amorous sweat has broken out across his skin, making him shine against the half-light of the sky above them; it emphasises every rugged muscle and hard, hewn line. He aches now, deep in the very heart of his loins, and it's all he can do not to grab hold of the mare and desperately do what every fibre of his body is telling him to.

Bad. Nobody warned him about this. Nobody told him that he would become broken upon hitting adulthood, that he would not even be able to look at another of his species without wanting to crush them beneath him.

Clearing his throat and shaking his head in a vain attempt to lessen his lust, the bull continues to stare at Kiada. "Still, though....Kiada could not take weight of Arakh. Kiada not that strong." He grins, his words deliberately meant to rile her and hopefully cause her to try and prove him wrong.

She grinned at him, prideful under his teal stare. She returned the watch, her eyes never wavering awkwardly from his steel gaze. ”Very hot.” She smirked slightly, the corner of her lips twitching as the words left his lips in its own throaty, guttural sound. He returned a smirk, stepping closer to her ever so slightly. She could feel the heat rising beneath her skin, her body wishing to squirm under such feelings, uncertain of what they were and how to act on it, but she refrained. Instead, she stood tall and proud as his eyes roamed her body like a predator would its prey.

Suddenly, she notices the glint in his skin, a metallic sheen growing on his pelt, and she too felt the warmth erupting from her body. Sweat also began to darken her gilded pelt into a bronze, while the flames continued to billow with playful foxes. She watched him, wondering if the same effect was growing within him too. And she, then, takes another step closer. She was close now, so very close. She could almost touch him, and oh how she wanted to… but then –

He shakes his head and clears his throat, speaking of strength and weight. A sultry laugh escaped her throat as she tilted her inky head in his direction. “Oh?” She hummed, not willing to be shown up much like the first time they met. She took a few steps beside him, still so close, before angling her rump toward the side of his chest, flicking her tail gently in the hopes of brushing it along his legs. “Try me…” She cooed to him, smirking as she aimed to press her already sweat laced body slightly against his own hybrid self.

She moves closer too, enabling the young stallion to see every wanton curve of her body. His self-control is wavering, and another guttural growl escapes the confines of his jaws as he arches his tail and prances on the spot, neck arched to display its rugged muscles and tall-standing crest. The aching down there intensifies, and the bull does not think he will be able to resist acting on it this time.

Frustration bubbles inside him; should he be feeling like this? Is he truly broken, or is this all a part of nature that his parents declined to tell him about before their untimely deaths? Instinct tells him that there's nothing wrong with how he's feeling, but his notions of social etiquette tell him that it's not right to want to crush everybody he meets beneath him. The flame-backed mare seems to be reciprocating his desires, which makes him think that perhaps this is not so taboo after all, but he still cannot shake the innate feeling that this is going against the Gods, against nature.

But if it's wrong, why does it feel so right?

She swings around, presenting him with her rump. He hisses deep in his throat, his nostrils flared wide to inhale every last particle of her scent; every iota of his body screams at him to mount, yet he has no idea whether that's what he's meant to do or not. Poor Arakh, the cumbersome virgin! This is not a problem that can be solved through thought or consideration - only instinct and testosterone will save him now, yet the things they're telling him to do seem so....unpleasant, certainly for her.

Humiliation clouds his features as he stares at her rump, lost. The ache in his loins and added weight between his thighs tells him that his own body is fully prepared to do what it must, but his poor mind has no idea how to accomplish what he wants. Eventually, when he's stared at her beautiful backside for as long as he thinks is polite, he clears his throat and speaks in a much softer, clearly embarrassed voice. "Does Kiada....know what to do?" He wants to hide his face under his wing because of the shame of having to ask his potential partner what he's supposed to be doing, but he thinks that's safer than going into it blind and doing it all wrong.

DO YOU FEEL LIKE A YOUNG GOD?

To be entirely fair, this is uncharted territory for the flame-backed mare. She has never acted on such feelings, let alone came this close. As she pressed into him, figuring that it made sense that the general area would be where his job was, she, too, was lost. And despite the embarrassment that seeped from the bull-horned man, she wasn’t the type to judge on this. They both didn’t know – they would learn together, right? That was her idea, at least, to see if this was how things worked.

She turned her head to him, looking back at him with her soft sapphire gaze beneath pale lids of ivory with a gentle smile. “I… I don’t really know either.” She admitted, hoping it might settle the nerves between them. If they were honest with one another, despite not really knowing each other, it would make the process easier. That the embarrassment growing between them would dissipate as soon as they made it work.

Kiada tried to lean her rump into his chest once again, this time lifting her tail and swishing it lightly as if this was her idea. “Here, maybe?” She questioned him, the mood not dropping from these events despite them not knowing. She lowered her head then, as if to try and challenge him. “I can handle your weight. My father was a King too.” She smirked, attempting to make it so Arakh would try to test her words. Hopefully this worked, otherwise she was thankful no one else was around to witness the catastrophe.

There's mixed emotions within the bull as Kiada reveals that she, too, has no idea what to do. He's relieved, because at least he is not the only blundering virgin here, but he's also deeply concerned because if she doesn't know what to do, then it's going to be like the blind leading the blind. The stallion huffs, fluttering his ears unhappily as he scrutinises the mare's luscious rump as though trying to figure out a particularly complex puzzle.

The swish of her tail causes his nostrils to gape wide and sweat to bead even more liberally across his muscular body. Ah, yes, that seems to work...Kiada knows how to gain his utmost co-operation, as evidenced by her next words. They're spoken like a challenge, and one that the ever-competitive Arakh is only too keen to take her up on. He rises (literally) to her challenge, flaring his wings for balance and lifting his great weight upwards to nestle snugly atop her hindquarters, his back feet spread to provide him with better traction upon the grass underfoot. This seems....logical, if a little ungainly, and he takes a moment to admire the quite delightful view spread out beneath him before nature finally, finally, takes pity on him and guides him with what to do next.

_______

Well, then. That was....most definitely worth the weight and all the awkwardness that came before. The bull slithers from her back with an expression of utter awe on his face, finding it quite hard to believe that his own body has the capacity to provide him with such luxurious sensations. There's a decidedly smug undertone to the set of his jaws, too, because dammit, he did it and he did it good. All the months of frustration have finally borne fruit, and the bull-horned beast has never felt higher. "Hm, Arakh think that was right...does Kiada?" His deep, accented voice is still flirty even as he lurches up to stand next to her, sweat lathered across his body and chest still heaving with his exertions. Worth it, though. So worth it.

It worked, her idea. As he gazed upon her spotted rump, her challenge seemed to offer him all the more effort to actually try it. And so, she prepares herself for his weight, doing the best she can to try and figure out just how heavy the hybrid was. And when he finally rose upon her, the flames along her back flocked around his chest in their heatless plumes, licking along his body with shapes of birds and foxes interlaced throughout the fire. She situated herself for the event, preparing for whatever came next.

--

Well, it was better than she could have imagined. As he moved away from her to her side, she aimed her dark, sweat ridden head over to his own monochromatic hide to lip at his shoulder. “Yes.” She breathed to him, breathless, agreeing that it was indeed what solved that feeling. Her flames had remained as foxes, though butterflies found their way through the flames to erupt along her topline. “Did Arakh like it?” She crooned with a smirk, lifting her dark head to look upon his own equally ebony helm.

Then, after a few moments of regaining her breath and strength, she looked out back into the Blood Falls. “Do you want to swim with me?” She questioned him, motioning with her head to the bloody river that peaked out from beyond crimson leaves. She was happy, content, and now she was simply yearning for some time spent with the boy, one where challenges and nature weren’t running the show. Perhaps it could be a regular occurrence as well, since it had been so enjoyable for those unaware of how it worked. She just wanted to know the man better.
