Joran's chest heaved in and out, his skin twitched as a fly landed on his muscled shoulder, with hair a grayish grullo, scars along his shoulder and back and side. Though not the handsomest of all, he was attracting enough. The Foothills stallion lay sprawled out on the ground, frightened and frustrated about not being able to get up; he had been running and he suddenly collapsed, with a sharp pain in his left front leg. Now Joran was laying here, hoping someone would come along to help him. Perhaps a snake had bitten him, but not a venomous one, for if it were venomous, the storyteller stallion would be dead by now. Would someone come to him, come to his rescue? Joran felt imobilized and unable to move. He wondered if his fate, his death, really did lie here. Would he get up again?

As usual, the dusty palomino was in the air, where it was safe. The heat which rose from the ground was a welcome change from the biting cold that this years FrostFall had brought with it. Phaedra much enjoyed the way the warmer air currents gently caressed her feathers - she felt limber and spry. This feeling gave her a surge of confidence that she did not normally feel. She was so full of herself, in fact, that she considered landing. Hot air rises, true, but the source of the heat, Helovia's Heart, was sure to be much warmer. Gliding in a soft spiral, Phaedra made her way towards the ground. Her cautious green gaze surveyed the land, to ensure that she was well and truly alone.

But she wasn't.

If Joran's coat had been any darker, she might have mistaken him for some great boulder. Yet the green hue on his tail and horn stuck out against the burnt vegetation. It was lucky for Joran that his tumble happened here, for without the heat from this place, Phae might not have been bold enough to land. However, he did, and she was. Closer now, Phae could see that the Unicorn was in fact, in trouble. Pain masked his attractive features. Still, she needed to be wary of that horn. Nervously, she landed just a few feet away, her large tawny wings remaining out stretched even as she landed, just in case this was a trick, or a trap.

Curiously, she nosed towards him. "Are you alright? No, obviously he wasn't. She thought, mentally reprimanding herself for being so foolish. Then, with sincerity, "What can I do?"
