Adire lay in the snow by a log,her wings wrapped round her, trying to keep in the warmth. Her little body shivered as more snow settled around her. She kicked her back legs, moving some of the snow away from her but more and more snow kept settling. She stood up,her legs shaking a little, and shook herself rid of the snow. The chain round her neck was frosted over so that when ever it lay against her chest she would feel sharp stinging pains shock her body into stillness.

She kicked her legs out, trying to keep a little warmer by moving. She stamped her hoof. When will this snow stop? She carried on stamping and bucking and cantering round with her wings wrapped round her but she still couldn't stay warm. Only for a split second after her attempts she would be warmer, then the coldness would hit her again.

Eventually she was worn out from all the bucking, something which didn't happen often. She lay herself down again, shivering still. She had gained no warmth from all her dancing around. Except no energy. She started to close her eyes, her chain rested against her,the Sharp sting of coldness constantly going though her. She drifted of to sleep, still shivering from the cold.

Once upon a time there was a man
With his eyes towards the moon
And he wonder to himself:
"Will love come soon?"

The world was beautiful when covered in snow. From above it looked like it had been wrapped into a soft, woolen blanket, decorated with a lovely white drape that had her heard singing in joy. There was no color so delightful as white. It was pure, it was clean. It was all colors and none, an unwritten page, a clean slate. White was the beginning and the end, white was everything in between. White was the reason, the answer, the very question. She loved white. She loved it as much as she loved the gold-draped-silver-white-Lace horse that strolled through the forest somewhere beneath her, occupied with thoughts of intruding horses, disappeared horses and lack of number horses. All he ever thought about was horses, with wings and without wings, with horns, horses with horse and wings, and horses with neither horns nor wings, and without homes too. It didn't interest her, but she accompanied him anyway on his trips to the border of the area called Helovia, because it was boring when he was not around and she liked to remember the time when she had met Akaith here the first time.

Curiously enough, it was she who found the little horse that lay in the snow, sleeping and slowly covered in a blanket of cold, falling snow. The dragon felt curious, wondered. Why was it sleeping there, the brown-and-black? A flick of the tail and a slight alteration of the wings angle made her spiral down towards the figure, claws grasping for hold as she elegantly landed on a tree branch above the horse. White shingled down as paws brushed the snow away from the bark, tail coiling as she studied the sleeper, a loud warbled from the throat urging her to wake up.

The sleeper had wings. She approved - any winged being was noble in its own right. She would test the sleeper first though, before alerting her bonded to the find. Fajira sensed his curiosity through the bond, wondering what she was up to; a misty blue-gray eye blinked and shut him out, preventing her thoughts from being read. It'd be a surprise, if the sleeper proved worthy enough.

As Adira slept she could still feel snow settling on her. It made her dream cold and bitter. Horses were trudging though the snow. The never ending snow. She watched horses getting grey and weak and then disappear. She watched foals appear out of no where, and they to grew old and disappeared. But they never escaped the snow. It kept falling and falling. And never stopped. But then, out of no where, she could hear a faint noise. The noise grew louder as her dream kept going to the point that she woke to see curious eyes looking down upon her.

She staggered to her hoofs and looked up as snow tumbled of her back, her ears flat back. A pure white cat like body was above on the branch above her. Its grayish eyes peered down at her with curiosity. Snow fell down on her as she realized that the creature must have cleared the snow on the branch to make a better place for sitting. If only it was better for those down below. She snorted and dodged out the way of the falling snow. When the snow had stopped coming down she looked back at the creature, this time with pricked ears. I wonder what its name is. She mused over this while studying the creature. It had small scales and slightly larger ones from its neck, though its tummy all the way to the end of its tail. Her curiosity grew even more. I wonder who,if anyone,it belongs to? She flicked her tail and shook her head, her chain shaking with her. She stood up taller, holding her wings out which made her look more powerful then what she actually was. She hadn't meet anything like it. She didn't know if they could talk,if they were aggressive. But she was going to find out.

"Hello little creature. I am Adira. Who are you? Where do you come from?" She pricked her ears, waiting and hoping for a replay as well as bracing herself. For all she knew it could attack her. She shook herself again, ridding her of the snow again and looked up again whilst wrapping her wings back around herself.

Once upon a time there was a man

And he wonder to himself:
"Will love come soon?"

A warbling laugh dropped like gems from the dragons vocals as snow from the branch fell into the winged sleeper. Content that it had woken up when told to, the lizard-like creature cocked the head to the side in a birdlike way, clearly not impressed by the attempted display of impressiveness. She sat up, balancing deftly on slender yet muscled hind legs and held out the front paws with claws outstretched, wings spread wide to each side and trembling slightly; a low-pitched sound emanated from her chest, threatening and rolling like a growl as sooty red flames licked the lips around a halfway open maw. It was magnificent, it was splendid. It was quite adorable, considering the size of the dragon that was close to that of an ordinary house cat.

The display continued only for a short moment, before the white relaxed and folded the wings back against the scaled sides.

That's how to do it, see? She was pleased herself, expecting a proper reaction from the little horse-sleeper-with-wings. Then again, if it went running in fear, that wouldn't be entirely good either, would it.

In a single smooth motion she rolled off the branch and leaped to the snow-covered ground, elegantly landing with the tip of the tail prudently lifted above the snow. She took large step over the surface of the snow and headed for the brown-and-black, curious to see how she would react. The questions asked were ignored; she couldn't speak the equine language, and had no interest in reaching into the mind of the equid creature to make herself understood. That was reserved for special occasions.

Adira cocked her head to one side as she waited for a replay from the creature. A replay she never got. Instead it had on quite a display. With its arms stretched out she could see razor sharp claws on the end. I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of them. She shivered slightly as its wings spread out and a low rumbling started from the creature. Adire took a step back, holding her head in but her eyes still watched the display. She was quite surprised by the creatures weird ways but yet so intrigued at the same time.

Now she had stepped back she could take of into the sky and so with a beat of her wings she lifted herself up to about the creatures height. Now she could take a closer look. Even though that deep mellowing sound sounded quiet menacing so she didn't stay up for long. His low rumbling sounded as if it was becoming threatening so she landed herself, slightly further away then she had originally been.

She watched as it drew its wings in and by now she knew she wasn't going to get a replay from it. It then seemed to fall of the tree like a leaf in autumn but it landed on its feet perfectly. She flinched as it landed,he chain clattered against her chest. As it came closer towards her she started to get slightly nervous about what it was trying to do but she stood her ground, her wings out so she could take of at any moment if needed. She suddenly let out a snort, white mist pouring out her nose. It even made her stagger back a little. She stamped her hoof. The way it acted was slightly intimidating to a young foal such as her, despite its size. Her head was now bowed at it came closer and she could feel herself wanting to flee. But yet another half of her wanted to see what would happen next with the creature. She was so tempted to rear and kick out at it,aiming to trap its wings and pin it down. Now,Adira, that's now way to greet a stranger. She laughed to herself.
