[Ooc - It's a crappy post. No one laugh ;~; Basically my first horse RP ever. -fails-]

Chill air billowed out from the nares of the Icelandic mare, forming a cloak of fog about her muzzle with each exhale, though she paid it little mind, dipping her head down to graze on what little grasses there were. She was built for the cold and frost, her study body keeping in much warmth thanks to her second coat. Though frostfall had taken its toll upon the grass, causing it to shrivel and disappear, the mare still managed to find a few succulent stems. As she ate she drifted, slowly working her way through the Threshold; her movements had brought her steadily west for the past week, though truly the mare cared little about where it was she was ending up. With her family gone, she had little tying her to her old home, and even less pulling her to where she was now.

’Come now Lorei,’ her thoughts whispered softly, ’You’ve the chance to create a new life for yourself.’ The mare, Lorei, snorted softly and desisted her grazing, raising her head and gazing out across the land, deep violet eyes taking in her surroundings. It seemed as if the forest would never end. With another soft snort, the mare flicked her tail irritably, shaking her head to and fro, causing her white mane to dance about in the cold air.

Glancing about her one more, Lorei took off at a trot; it would not do her well to stay where she was. Though she didn’t like the idea, she knew that she would need a herd eventually. Still, the prospect of being among so many, especially strangers and without her family, was daunting. Even though it was in her nature to be with her own, Lorei had never been a part of a herd before; her small family group could not be considered a herd, especially now that she was the only one left. A soft sigh, violet hues turning towards the frosty ground, the young mare slowed to a walk. Her hooves made little impression in the ground and she moved so softly and quietly that she might have been a ghost.

BEYOND HERE LIES NOTHING
Ebony patched frame sliced between oaks, contrasting in his flashy little way—it would be easier to steal a jewel beneath the open branched timbers then to hide his bulk in such a sleepy wasteland. Sickly brown limbs remained posed against the onslaught of a coming spring; but, at least the wind was warmer. A magical collar around his shoulders and birthright physical features didn’t blend well with a natural environment. Sun tipped feathers brushed snow across a frosted ground. Cranium held itself aloft with gaze streaking across familiar territory; feet taking liberty to mate quietly upon permafrost burnt soil.

Reasoning of why he journeyed the Threshold this day couldn’t be explained. Perhaps, it was his restlessness from personal duties and such. Or even the calling of higher powers, though his mind couldn’t fathom a reason for being lead to the Hold. A bright sun shimmered rays through simplistic cover, his quiet forest was about to be disturbed by fated conversation—though he didn’t know this even as a silver lady flashed within sight. Her pale silken body leaned away, head dropped every so often in with lips moving to search for sustenance.

Feeling it to be rude in passing a maiden without pausing to greet, Midas traveled forward assuming that his steps were now loud enough to be heard by even the most deaf of ears, “Good day ma’lady,” tenors uttered gently whilst body came alongside, openly allowing distance so that she might choose to be approached, “We seem to be traveling a similar path,” a pleasant smile followed his words.
