These lands were somewhat familiar to the marshes that used to surround my old homeland. The trees were somewhat dense with an ominous atmosphere that chilled me. The place was damp and murky as my hooves kept on getting stuck in the soft, squishy mud that reminded me of quicksand. Terror raged in my veins as suddenly I stepped in the wrong place, taking my leg shooting down. I whinnied in pain and terror as I felt my hoof twist slightly. "Crap!" I tried getting out, and it only made me sink down deeper. [undefined=undefined]So this is how I'm going to die? Alone, without anyone?[/undefined] I thought to myself. I suddenly stopped struggling and was going to let myself get consumed in the mud, as I felt the bonds being broken, and I could move again. I started pushing myself out of the mud, giving a backwards glance as I broke free.

"That was a close one", I said speaking to myself, so close to being suffocated to death, all alone. I started chuckling to myself. Who do I have to go home to anyways? I wouldn't have been such a big loss to the world. It would keep on spinning and going on. I kept on walking, this time being aware of my surroundings.

Zamoro was about to enter a quiet muddy place. It was chilly where he was exploring now, and he stood in front of the it's borders of the Marsh Whether he should enter the mysterious place. Of course, he hesitated for a quick second and wondered in. Not knowing now of the dangers that could unfold before him. He was a adventurer by true heart known to risk a life to find out what was inside a small cave. Zamoro was a very curious equine, and it was more dangerous going into unknown land and not knowing it's dangers. But that was bold Zamoro there for everyone to watch. He walked in, getting into the wet and muddy side of the marsh he whispered under his breath. "Better be careful." Carefully he took each step with great caring, making sure to not stutter, slip, or even step into quicksand. He knew of marshes and swamps having quicksand before and he would not risk it when stepping in this part.

As he looked down to his hooves, he noticed next to his tracks were others tracks."Someone's been here I suppose." He smiled raising his head and following the steps. He continued until he saw them leading into muddier parts, he decided to continue on his curious investigation of who this other equine was. He took another route near the mud but on a grassier part while seeing the tracks led out of the mud. There they led onto dry land, mud was in the prints now. I believe I'm close now, Zamoro thought to himself. He quickened his pace faster as he finally was to this mysterious other.

Looking up, he saw it. A glorious looking prize, he stood up from his leaning position and stood straight up. Walking towards her in a more glorious way, to show a little friendliness. He kept a neutral face on until reaching to her. Observing her he saw a straight forward black mare. With a green mossy kind of eyes, he observed her. She seemed to stare at him, as walked up to her standing a few feet away in a posture of politeness yet showing off in a way of his strong muscles as well. As he approached her, he felt the good smile carve onto his face as he spoke. "Hello. Good day!" Making a quick glance to her feet he noticed the muddiness that was on them. Slick mud covered her hooves and bottom part of her legs."You seem to be quite dirty, did you fall into the mud lovely?" He eyed her green eyes with his luxurious brown eyes. Having a slight curve to his smile to nestle his beautiful pose.

I was approached by a proud looking stallion, with glistening brown fur, and an onyx mane, like mine. The way he set his head and body, made him look regal, and almost like the leader of a herd. He had a muscular, body and his fur shone. "Hello," I hastily said, starting to feel a little bit self conscious about myself. My legs and hooves were coated with drying mud. I suddenly felt dirty, and embarrassed. "Yes, I fell into quicksand...", I paused before continuing, not wanting to bore him out by constantly talking. "I nearly died in that quicksand...I've never been here before", I said again staring into his deep brown eyes with my mossy colored ones. "Say, where are my manners...I am Orinthia, and you must be?" I paused waiting for the stallions reply.

The stallion reminded me of my cousin Aaron, a bay horse such as this proud stallion. My cousin Aaron though was rude and pushy, and this horse seemed adventurous with a curious glint in his eyes. I was shocked at how muddy I was, as I glanced down at my legs again. Darn....

Zamoro was quite intrigued by her sudden appearance in this swamp. It was a quite and mysterious place you could hear a crows crying to each other in the distance of the tree's. Zamoro didn't like this place it was not a good place to talk. Something about the marsh gave him a shudder running down along his spine. A cool breeze blew through him, as he looked to her. But he continued with his started conversation as always wanting to find out.

She looked up to him. Flashing his eyes a little in his ways, he liked her appearance. She was in size smaller than him, giving him a more stronger look to himself. She said Hello. Interesting girl she is. Zamoro thought to herself. He wanted to see her reactions and here he was getting them. She looked quite embarrassed by the looks of it. He could see it in her eyes as she hastily looked down to the moist ground. His curved smile, kept upon his face. He loved it when they were at a point like this. It was a good way to be nice to them in a way.

She than introduced herself trying to shake off that insecurity. Now it was his turn to introduce him self. He pounded at the ground once with his hoof, showing off a little never really hurt for a first impression. Looking at her he smiled and spoke. "I am Zamoro, lovely." He spoke rolling the Za- off his tongue with the accent, smiling goodly."You say you almost died from these marshes quicksands? Well, I'm sorry I wasn't there to save a damsel in distress. Especially one as gorgeous as you." He spoke in a tone of calmness. He heard the cries of crows become a lot more stronger, as more seemed to fly into the tree's with the other.

The presence of the stallion made me feel safer in this eerie place. I heard to crows caw to each other, singing their ominous song. I looked around, a tiny bit spooked. Why did I come in this dead place again? The trees were were twisted in crooked ways, and the atmosphere was strange with the fog hanging low.

The stallion was eying me as I kept on scanning myself to see if I looked good enough. I do say, I can be a little bit flirtatious, and I would like to make a good appearance. I saw his lips curve up into a smile, as he kept on observing me. How did I look? I probably looked like the mud monster. Ugh. Thought flew into my head, and I felt like an insecure filly again. I kept on glancing down when he met my eye contact. By his size, he was even bigger than me, which was pretty big. He would've seemed intimidating, but his presence here in this marsh made me feel safe, and nearly fearless. If I got injured, he would possibly help me?

He introduced himself to me, curling the Za, of his name. What an interesting, foreign accent. I like it. It sounded so... I don't know how to describe it! I felt flattered when he called me beautiful. The heat was rising up all over my face, and I felt all girly now. Suddenly, the crows that were only two started grouping, more and more, until I felt scared. "Z-Zamoro", I said stuttering in fear as the birds became a bigger flock. "May we leave?" I said.

Watching her, she seemed very embarrassed by the phrases and words he spoke. He thought he had seen a hidden blush as he rolled the Za- off his tongue after introducing himself in the manner of ways. He was keen on flirting with any mare who he came across by, and now he was flirting with this mare who seemed flustered from his compliments and sayings. She was a beautiful girl, pure black coat and mane, except for her eyes. A mossy like green surrounded her emotional eyes. But as the moments went on with this lass. The blasted crows kept on going with their cries of what you would call singing. Zamoro hesitated a second and looked up at the crows. Instantly they began staring back with the on going calls. Zamoro looked back to Orinthia. She seemed tense and nervous. He could not tell from if she was nervous from being near him or this place... But he was pretty sure it was the Marsh itself. This place looked like a bone yard, he felt uncomfortable talking here.

Looking to her, she finally spoke again in a nervous voice. "Z-Zamoro." Orinthia had Zamoro's full attention now. He looked at her, "May we leave?" She spoke quite nervous and scared. I guess she's feeling eerie about this place as well, poor lass. Zamoro thought to himself. He cleared his throat and spoke "Of course lovely, we should leave this place. It is too ghostly for anyone to stand. Please, Let me escort you out lovely, I would love too." He spoke. He offered her chance of escape from this haunted marsh, and if she denied it. Then well, something would get her in here, and if she did come than she wouldn't be left to lose her mind in here. Zamoro wanted to escort her out anyways, he never left anyone behind. Especially a young lass like her. Smiling as he did, he waited for her response. The crows seem to do a call even louder...

Zamoro was making me blush, even though I barely knew him. Just a handsome lad that was wandering this eerie place like me. I wonder... this was the first time I turned my back from an adventure, and especially from danger...but...this place had a certain feeling of death, strangeness, and the darn crows circling us. I had the feeling we were being followed by something, or someone, and I couldn't shake it off. "Thank you", I said trembling. I felt so vulnerable, and especially with Zamoro here, I was letting my fear show. I decided to make the situation by talking, which I was too embarassed, and afraid to really keep my voice from slightly trembling. "So...where do you live?" I asked him.

Dang it you idiot! I thought to myself. Now he'll think you're stalking him! I thought again. I waited for his reply. I would tell him my journey so maybe he wouldn't think I was such a freak.

Zamoro of course, loved to have this Mare accompany him out of this... disturbing place. He no longer wanted to be here as much as she did. The crows nestled upon the tree's with their squawking that they called 'singing' were eyeing them with those black beady eyes. He was losing his patience to those eyes that nestled upon him and Orinthia. Zamoro faced her his eyes scanned her face. She was deeply blushing, nice to know somebody can be flattered with my flirtatiousness in moments of meeting them. Zamoro thought to himself. She eyed the crows that stalked them through the branches of the dense canopy above. She seemed nervous, Zamoro knew it was a good time to go now. She trembled and said thank you. "No problem. These marshes are dangerous, lucky I found you in here. Otherwise you might have been hurt a lot more..." He was going to say Death. But he knew it might make her tense more with her nervous anxiety of leaving, which he did not want to tip the scales of for now.

She then changed the subject. "So.... Where do you live?" He replied with a calming voice to her. "Windtossed Foothills lovely, up in the mountains." He motioned her to come with him, as he said "Come now, we must be leaving this place we have had our stay long enough lovely." It seemed to calm her now that they were leaving this dreadful place. He quickly drew upon a path that led out of the place, just beyond he could see the daylight. He felt her by his side walking with him onto the path and towards the daylight. It was enticing and satisfying to hear her nervousness tittering inside her with her heart beats. "It's okay were almost out of here. We just need to continue on this path." Gladly to know his answer was true, for soon it would lead them out.

He lived in the Windtossed hills. I have been there once, but it was only passing by that I have been to that beautiful place. It was no match to the forests I have seen in my old home, far away, but it was still a beautiful place with the taller grass, and scattered trees around the hill. "That's interesting," I said. We were walking out of the eerie marsh, finally seeing normal sunlight again. The ground was still moist where we were, but it was much better than being in that place where the quicksand was, and where the trees were tall, looming, and eerie.

"Zamoro, where should we go now?" I questioned him. I enjoyed having his company. I was a little bit shy, speaking to him right now.

"Zamoro, where should we go now?" He thought for a moment. But as he would have spoken the next step to after getting out of the strange marsh. He only shifted his gaze to her and questioned with a curious tone "Before that... What were you doing in those marshes?" He was very curious to what she was doing in there. Though judging by the wet sand covering a bit of her ankles and hooves and what she had stated of nearly dying. Then there was no doubt that she could be but only a Innocent filly that was being too curious without thinking. But if Zamoro stated to start an argument about such a thing than he knew he would be a Hippocrit. He always adventured into places where he knew nothing about. He chirped with the dear politness in his throat "You were adventuring right?" He laughed a little and smiled at her. "Ah... I always do that. But I'm a bit careful." They were still walking along a clearer path until reaching the clearing of a meadow. It was of a natural green with clovers and yellow flowers covering the ground. And he could spy the sight of his herds lands just about the mountains over there. Which gave him the thoughts of this mysterious mare What was she doing here? Does she live in a herd? Could I maybe invite her into mine? These thoughts drowned his minds, but they immediately dissapeared when she spoke again. Her voice touching his ears, and he shifted his gaze back to her face to hear the words she said.

Hmm. What was I doing here. "Well, I was just wandering around exploring. I mean, there is so much to see, before I probably get stuck with another herd", I said smiling. "I know you might think I'm a klutz," I said, embarrassed. How I wish to be more careful. "But it is of my rambunctious nature to get myself into some sort of trouble", I said smiling. "So. You must live in a herd right? Or are you just a lone wanderer like me?" I questioned him pointing my nose in the direction of faraway mountains.

It was a beautiful scene here. The flowers, a bright buttercup yellow, were surrounding our hooves. I smiled at the thought of flowers. I found the most peaceful places to be, were clearings with flowers, or woods with flowers. There is some symbolic meaning to me when I look at the bright, colored petals. Then the mountains, lingering in the distance, gave the place an alpine feel. I wondered. What it would be like to live on real mountains. With snow, cold, fresh air, and flowers everywhere. I smiled internally at the thought of it, while waiting for Zamoro and his accented voice to answer.

"Oh, and by the way", I said, inquiring a little bit further due to my undying curiosity. "How did you get your lovely accent?" I said. I really did like his accent, how he elegantly curled his r's. It sounded so different, but refined, only for finer horses.
