Even when in deep, lonely thoughts Lana manged to look beautiful. The tips of her silvery tail just dragged lightly along the top layer of the sand. She had grown in confidence and hoped that now in the presence of a stranger she wouldn't turn into such a timid creature as she usually was. Her father,Saruman, had not turned up yet. Maybe he has lost trail and is helplessly wondering? She preyed he had lost he trail and perhaps,by change,he came anywhere but here.

Dragging her silvery tail in the sand a thin line being drawn. Now that's the sort of thing that will help Saurman find me. With a flick of her tail the line came to a sudden stop she didn't stop walking though. She was tired, lonely still. Not knowing where to go or what to do. Maybe go and find Levi? But she passed the thought by when she sub consciously bent down onto her knees and eventually lay down and drifted of into a light sleep.

Her dreams were,at first, peaceful. A perfect dessert on a bright sunny day but it soon turned to the usual state. Fire engulfed the land as horses fled panicking. A band of horses came galloping though the fire, there sick laugh deafening the fleeing horses. Lana, herself, ran in fear, her ears pinned to her neck as she felt a Pegasus brush by her side. It barged her and she fell hard on her side. Struggling she looked up at the Pegasus's face. She then woke in a sweat and shivering, not able to stand as the face of the Pegasus's stuck in her mind. It was Saruman.

"blah blah blah."

Pale hooves struck sand soundlessly as the young woman explored the Throat at a slow and leisurely pace. Athena was a quietly happy soul and saw no need bustling and bustling, rushing to and fro to get to a place when you could arrive there much less frazzled and noticeably happier by taking your time. You never knew, after all, just what it was you could or would find once you slowed down enough to take in all the details. Lion tail swayed behind her, the tip of wings fluttering slowly. Today was a day for peace.

Perhaps she had spoken too soon. The haze of heat over sand gave way to a silver accented doll, breathing heavily and looking quite shaken. Terrified even. Worried frown took over Athena's inherently kind face and she stepped closer, snickering softly to the young girl. If she had just awoken from a night are, there was a possibility she could be disoriented and lash out to protect herself from lingering monsters of the mind. "Are you alright?" Keeping her voice soft and smooth, concerned for the clearly distraught fae. Kneeling down herself until shins touched the sand, getting on the same level as the stranger. Waiting calmly and patiently for her answer. Best not to push her after all.

A weary looking Note headed towards his home, the Throat, after his meeting with Phae and Levi. It was times like these he wished he could bare flight, but his scar would show. His gnarled scar was a frightening sight that had chased off many potential friends, as a solution, he kept it covered beneath his right wing where it would lay hidden until he felt it the right time to reveal it. He didn't miss flying, it was, of course, a fun hobby, but he had gone so long without it, he didn't even seem to care anymore. The trip from the meadows to the Throat was a different story, a long treacherous one that made him almost want to fly again.

His silvery hooves dragged the ground as he pushed himself forward, he barely noticed the trail of what seemed to be prints in the sand made by the long tail of horse. Once the pegasus did notice it, it was too late, he was at the end of the trail he had accidentally followed. His mystical green eyes jumped to life at the sight of the mares, shocked by their appearance. He calmed himself immediately, hoping the mares hadn't seen him. He took a few steps closer to them, silent steps, his hooves resting delicately on the sand.

As he neared, Note was horrified to see that one of the mares, wasn't much of a mare. She was but a filly, a much older one, but still a filly. She was shivering, obviously frightened by something. She was a pretty little filly, almost the height of short little Note himself. The other mare, an older one seeming to be about his own age, was soothing her, speaking so soft and smoothly, it gave Note a sense of wanting to fall asleep. The short little mare was definitely a medic of some sort, and as he neared the pair, he could smell the Throat on them. The realization that the two were from his own herd was comforting, he relaxed almost immediately.

Note came around to the mare who seemed to be a medic, but stood a few feet behind her, trying to as respectful as possible.

"Is she okay?" Note spoke, looking terribly worried as he bent his head down to address the pair. He scolded himself on his poor manners, realizing he hadn't given them his name. "I'm Note, by the way," he said, doing his best to keep quiet and let the medic try and calm the startled filly.

A golden body was bent low beside her, hazel eyes peering into her own jet black eyes. Her body was still shaking slightly as the mare spoke. Are you alright? She stuck out one leg,as if to get up,but instead she repositioned herself. Still feeling to shaky to stand. Then another horse appered, this one a stallion. A strong bay Pegasus with three streaks on his neck. Sharpe green eyes filled with concern peered at herself and the mare. Is she okay? I'm Note, by the way. Note. The name rung in her head though out shaking.

She pushed out another leg, stretching herself out then looked back up at the mare. Her voice had been soothing, relaxing her a little. "It..it was just a dream..." Her voice trailed of as the face of Saruman flashed back into her head, causing her to shiver again. She shifted again, the sand moving to her will, shifting under her weight. She then realised that she hadn't given her name, unlike Note who had. "I am Lana." She looked over at Note and then forced her self to stand, raising onto all fours and shaking herself rid of the sand that lay on her back. Her head was stooped low, still thinking of the scene her head had made her watch.

"blah blah blah."

The new presence didn't go unnoticed by Athena, but she was concerned more for the shaky girl kneeling on the sand. Letting the stallion approach at his own pace. He seemed to relax after smelling the herd scent on the both of them, where she was watching him momentarily from her peripherals. Smiling gently at him when he stood a respectful distance behind her, thanking him silently before turning back to the other female. Athena, still kneeling by the young woman, gently touched their muzzles together. Allowing her scent to go towards the younger one, hoping the Throat scent would allow her to focus on something that wasn't within her mind. Keeping warm hazel eyes on her delicate form as she replied to Note. "I believe she's simply shaken. Perhaps a nightmare. I'm Athena." Turning her head briefly as she said her own name, the type to always look others in the eyes when introducing herself. It was a respect thing for her.

The girl struck out one leg, as if to stand, but decided against it and did not rise. Dazed eyes found hers and Athena smiled encouragingly at her as another leg found its way to join the previous one. Announcing softly that it had only been a dream. "One that has given you quite a fright, it seems. Take it slow now, don't push yourself. It's okay now." Voice soft and soothing, watching a shiver ripple over her coat and some echo of fear come into her eyes. Lana, she told her name. Standing this time, and Athena gracefully followed. Slowly approaching her, silently checking over her. Ready to offer a shoulder should she need it. The filly's head hung low and Athena's face softened with worry. Reaching down, going slowly so as not to frighten her. Muzzle brushing her cheek and nudging upwards gently, beckoning her silently to raise her head from its lowered position of sorrow and fear. "Do not dwell on it, dear. Whatever has frightened you is not here right now, and the future is always changing dear Lana. I'm sure Note and I can get a smile on that pretty face, right Note?" Glowing hazel eyes turning to Note with a smile, enticing and silently pleading for him to agree. To help her steady the younger female's mind, comfort her with the miracle of laughter to make the shadows disappear. Note seemed quite concerned for her, and Athena was happy to know souls like him still existed.

The stallion's sharp green eyes flooded with relief when he heard the older mare, Athena, say the young girl was alright. He looked back at her own hazel gaze as she stated her name with respect. If Note was anything, he was respectful.

He watched as the girl, Lana she had said, shakily stand. She was so frightened, it puzzled even Note. It found it hard to think a nightmare could shake someone as much as it had Lana. He pondered the thought for moment, but as the memories of his own past came back to him, he started to understand more, and more. The more he thought about it, the more shaken he became, turning the left side of his body to the mares, and holding his head high so he reached his full height. He smiled at the pair with reassurance.

"Do not dwell on it, dear. Whatever has frightened you is not here right now, and the future is always changing dear Lana. I'm sure Note and I can get a smile on that pretty face, right Note?" Athena said, her eyes glowing with a silent plead for him to agree. "Of course! You don't have to be so upset, Lana, you've got us here to help you with any of your problems, my dear," Note spoke calmly with a glance of uncertainty at Athena, hoping his carefully chosen words were the right ones.

Athena. Another name she would have to remember, not that it was a bad thing, know quiet a lot of horses. Athena had rose from the sand,as had she and reassured Note that she was OK. The soft voice of Athena was so smoothing to Lana. She felt herself relaxing more. She lifted her head more, looking over at Note when Athena spoke of him. Do not dwell on it, dear. Whatever has frightened you is not here right now, and the future is always changing dear Lana. I'm sure Note and I can get a smile on that pretty face, right Note? She turned with bright eyes,a hint of excitement in them as she thought about the dream for a while. Note,as she suspected, agreed with Athena,a small smile creeping onto Lana's maw. Of course! You don't have to be so upset, Lana, you've got us here to help you with any of your problems, my dear. His voice,to,was gentle.

The smile on her face widened as she looked from one to the other. She held her head higher, pricking her ears slightly. These two are so kind to me. She was truly grateful at meeting them. "Thank you, both of you. If only more were as kind as you two are. " She tossed her head slightly as he forelock was falling way into her eyes. It eventually settled to the side, not bothering her as much as it had.

"blah blah blah."

Correct me if I'm wrong; You're fragile and you're strong- a beautiful and perfect combination</style>

Athena was pleased to see her voice had soothed Lana, even if only a bit. She felt so terrible that someone her age had to suffer from such frightful night terrors, even when the sky was still bright. What had she suffered? Athena found herself both wanting to know and dreading what she would find. Asking was out of the question. They had only just met, firstly. Secondly it would be an intrusion of her privacy, and asking when she was so shaken would only be detrimental to the progress she was visibly making to rid herself of the memory.

Note seemed to understand what she asked of him and played along quite well, joining together with her in an effort to comfort her. Lana's smile brightened on her face when they spoke, and Athena felt the same warmth spread in her breast that always appeared when she helped someone. Even minutely. Helping was what she had wanted to do since she was an awkward little filly at her mother's side. The mare thanked them, and Athena brushed it away with a smile. "It's definitely a good thing to wish for. We were both glad to help what little we could." Speaking for Note as she was sure he felt the same. He could still speak and reply, but she felt that if he hadn't cared he surely wouldn't have helped.

Note studied Lana carefully, wondering about her. What kind of horrific things had the young mare gone through to make her shake in fear? It was a daunting thought, making him all the more curious about her. He had gone through terrible tragedies at her age as well. The bright smile on her face as Athena spoke was certainly hiding something.

The stallion wanted to know her secrets, but he knew this desire was one he needed to let go of. After all, he'd probably kick the next horse who asked him about the fact that he never went flying, or that he constantly shifted his right side away from everyone. It was his privacy that he wanted respect for.

"It's definitely a good thing to wish for. We were both glad to help what little we could," came Athena's voice, snapping Note out of his quizzical daydreaming. He smiled and nodded as she answered for him, agreeing with a reassuring look in his sharp green eyes. Being the man of few words he was, the stallion didn't speak at all.
