Lumière's breath came in short, quick gasps. She had galloped to this new place, but she regretted it. As she plunged deeper into the new forest, she began to feel more and more insecure as the smell of horses became thicker. It was agonizing; taunting her, reminding her of the promise she had made to her now dead mother.

'Start a new life, it'll be easy,' the short mare reminded herself as her amber eyes flicked back and forth across the landscape. The forest was intimidating to her, the thought of horses even more daunting. She did fine on her own, but once she made a promise, she wouldn't break it, even if it was to the dead.

"Heh - hello?" The mare called insecurely, making herself look smaller. Perhaps if no one answered her call - it meant her fate was sealed to live on her own, that her mother had taken back her impossible promise.

Lumi tossed her creamy mane to one side so her hair fell evenly upon one side of her nape. She wanted to at least look nice if someone did come to her. She doubted anyone would - after all, who would want such a timid mare in their herd?

Zamoro walked through the woods, intrieged by the sights he had not seen when he first came into Helovia. He loved to see beauty, but the Thresh hold was like any other forest. Just there as all the tree's with green on their branches and birds fluttering in them, but it also had one thing most outside forest didn't have. It had a heavy scent of all kinds of equines. As he had entered it before it already filled his nose with foreign scents to him. Yet now when he looked around, no of these new equines were to be spotted.

He began into a trot through the wood. If he was going to go through here, than he was going to run through it. What a lovely trip it was too, just continuously galloping through. He stopped in his tracks when he heard it. Perking up his ears he looked over to where it had come from. His brown eyes looked overhead to see. He knew he had heard of a mare. He slowly approached, coming forth to who whom was there. He spotted the damsel, a painted girl, with a cream mane. He was much larger than her, of course Zamoro was a large equine though. He approached her with a warm smile on his face. "Good Day m'lady. Are you the one who called hello?"

Lumière's big amber eyes looked up into the bay stallion's with a hint of relief in them. "Good Day m'lady. Are you the one who called hello?" The stallion spoke as he approached Lumi with a smile. She timidly smiled back, but other thoughts were crossing her mind.

'A flirt, no doubt,' Lumière thought to herself, but didn't display her annoyance. Her eyes dropped to the ground in a flirtatious manner, but she didn't realize it. "I am," Lumi spoke, her high pitched voice ringing throughout the forest, "my name is Lumière, but you can call me Lumi."

She put the thought of facing off with a flirty stallion much bigger than herself out of her head, he seemed nice enough. If he lead her to a herd, then maybe she wouldn't even have to worry about him anymore. This future was appealing to Lumi, definitely something she was going to keep in mind while her meeting with the stallion progressed.

Lumière reluctantly removed her glowing amber eyes from the forest floor to gaze into the stallion's chocolate ones. She continued to smile, making herself look sweet, and innocent. The mare's two-toned forelock started to fall in her face, covering her eyes. She flipped her head to the side in a single, graceful movement, then returned her bright orbs to the stallion's.

Zamoro had stepped into the approach of this mare. Not knowing what could happen after, but soon to realize it was only but another of friendly type. Which inside he was quite relieved by it. He never knew what could be around the corner in Helovia. Danger or Drama, didn't matter to him. He just hated to get into a negative situation with anyone, especially a mare. She looked down to the ground, then said "I am, my name is Lumiere, but you can call me Lumi."

He thought for a moment to the introduction of hers. He spoke "My name is Zamoro." He introduced himself, and then pawed the ground a little. She seemed somehow to him, a little timid. Though Zamoro, found this a coincidence. He was a quite large for a equine wasn't he? But then again, he wasn't any normal equine now that he thought about it. Maybe it wasn't that size matters here, pehaps something else? Zamoro had curious questions racing through his head as he always had a mind of curiosity. His forelock fell in front of his eye, so he could not see, he shook a little getting it out of his sight. He looked at her again, which now she was looking into his eyes. Her forelocks had also fallen on her face, she got them out of her way as well. Which Zamoro found very perfect. "May I ask, Are you lost?" He asked questionably. It was a good question in his mind, for what one would wander alone calling out. He waited for the mare's response patiently. Maybe, if she was not part of a herd, she could come with him to Foothills.

"My name is Zamoro." Zamoro. Lumière's thoughts were racing as she struggled to keep her composure.

She was weak.

She was afraid.

She was lonely.

Lumi's life of solitude had hurt her more than she had realized. She found it incredibly hard to speak as she remained still. Zamoro pawed the ground, shifting his own forelock out of his eyes. Lumière shifted her hooves anxiously, timidly. "May I ask, Are you lost?" came Zamoro's voice again.

"Yes, very," Lumi replied, looking dismal, but did her best to relax. Zamoro seemed like no threat to her, making it rude for her to act so scared.

"Yes, very." The mare replied. Zamoro observed her moves, as she seemed to feel uncomfortable and somehow, nervous. She defenintly is lost, look at how shy she is acting. He thought to himself quietly. He knew that he had to do something, he couldn't just say goodbye and leave her in the Thresh hold. He knew there was mean stallions and bloody outcast out there who would rip her to shreds if she was not too careful. And of course his heart told him what he needed to do shortly after this conversation between him and the timid mare. She became more of attempting to be relaxed, who could blame her. He worried that he might intimidate her too much.

Zamoro glimpsed up to the sky, it just looked down at him. He lowered his head to look into her eyes. Shifting a little on his side, he saw how she looked sad in her eyes, glimpsing his brown ones into hers. "You seem out of the sort, and lost?" He neighed to her with a worried glance. He was a concerned Nordic horse who hoped to help her out of her situation. "If I may, I can escort you to safer lands Madam. My herd can take you in, if you want." He paused a moment in silence, then continued "My home is called the Windtossed Foothills herd. Just beyond the Misty mountains of Helovia. There, you can find a place where you won't be lost." He offered the good home for her. She did seem not much like part of a herd at a first sight of her. But now, he knew that she needed some help, and he could help her. He was true in heart, and cared for anyone he came across who needed the help. He waited for a reply patiently hoping she knew what decision she would make. For it may change her path of life forever.

Lumière looked helplessly at Zamoro as he glimpsed up at the sky. "You seem out of the sort, and lost?" He said, looking back at her. Lumi slowly started to nod her head at his words. "If I may, I can escort you to safer lands Madam. My herd can take you in, if you want," Zamoro continued, pausing for a moment. Lumi's eyes started to sparkle and dance with hope, smiling all the same.

"My home is called the Windtossed Foothills herd. Just beyond the Misty mountains of Helovia. There, you can find a place where you won't be lost," He finished. Lumière straightened up a little bit, and took a step towards Zamoro.

"I would love it if you could be so kind as to do that for me," She spoke softly, but kindly. She was ecstatic that he'd offer to give her a true home, but she also had to wonder why in the world anyone would invite someone as timid as herself into a herd? To live with them, be one of them. It was a puzzling question, but she didn't test her luck. Lumi simply smiled without showing any of her true quizzical thoughts, and waited on Zamoro for further instructions.

Zamoro nodded his head briefly, and looked at her. He knew that he might as well be a kind and generous equine, by allowing her to come into his herd. The Windtossed Foothills herd has very kind stallions and mares. Well at least most of them were nice, there was also several beings in the herd that gave crude glares at others. She would make several friends as well, joining the herd. Many could help her become less timid, if that was her outside nature. Or if she was faking her timid looks, that would be strange. But Zamoro only hesistantly smiled as she spoke "I would love it if you could be so kind as to that for me." He enjoyed to make others happy, and feel the joy they felt. This mare needed help, and pleasently he was just on his way finding her and invited her.

He flipped his black hair from his head as it was about to fall onto his brown eyes again. He than spoke in his deeper tone "I was heading back home anyway. It would be good as for me to escort you there miss, and have the others greet you with a welcoming smile." Finishing his sentence, he tipped his head a little. Motioning her to come, as he began at a pace to the Misty Mountains of his herd. Pointing into the direction, as the sun came out of the clouds. Brightening up the day with a welcoming warm feeling, as it shined upon the valley and meadows that lay ahead and out of this forest. He glanced back, seeing that she followed as well. They strolled out of the forest and towards the Windtossed mountains. Where he knew his herd with give a brightened welcome to her, and she would have a new life. But he also had to wonder, where did she come from? Had she always, perhaps, been a outlander in Helovia or just came to the realm. Whatever it was he perhaps could care less. For the Past could be behind her now, and she could see how great the herd is. Although he had to be weary, perhaps she would stab him in the back as he had defenses lowered. He chuckled a little to his thoughts, and they continoued to the Misty mountains of Helovia.
