This was what Larkspur existed for.
Not many things mattered any more to the cobalt colored mare, her skin the same hue as the endless blue ocean that roared at her back, sending waves crashing into the shore in its timeless, endless and incessant pattern. But standing before the russet red stranger she had stumbled upon on the beach, she felt a spark, a light that kindled itself in the pit of her chest, reminding her of what it felt like to live. Suddenly her senses overwhelmed her, muscles coiled beneath her fair cerulean coat, hooves shifting in anticipatory movements against the deep sand, leaving indentions of her presence. With calculating intensity her eyes remain locked on Romani, the unfortunate equine soul who had been in the wrong place at the wrong time, caught in the path of the quaking, storming beast that was Larkspur’s unfettered temper. Her black and brindled horn that spirals from her brow ends in an imposing, menacing point of unimaginable sharpness, white teeth glint from behind darkened lips, bared in challenge. Her slender ears lie flat to her skull, and she has lost any feminine appearance she once had in that moment, reduced to a wild, raging creature, Amazonian and feral in nature, composed of desolate abhorrence and roiling rage.
She squares her stance, tucks her head to her chest in instinctive reflex, synapses firing at an extraordinary pace as she awaits the charge of her advisory, prepared to inflict her worse.
