Shirah
the true side

Traveling straight from the Threshold, Shirah had her hooves stepping on the Windtossed Foothills territory. She could smell, freshly, the others scents. There were definitely creatures living here. Creatures of her kind.. and then others. The chocolate mare carefully procceded forwards. Each step was more cautious than the other. There was many and she was on their territory. Shirah was smart, she knew the consequences.

After all though, she only wished to join. Choosing her words quickly she slipped into a calm collected tone "I wish to seek council with the one or ones in charge." So she waited. Slowly walking around in the green grass. The heat of the sun catching her as she would make her way through the patches of field and rock to trees. Cream hooves making soft impressions to the beautiful earth. To her the scenery was majestic and impressive. To some others, they could give two shits less of the great looks.

A companion she longed for. One like that of Mirage's. Akaith... She would soon gather the courage to ask about one, and then even more courage to set her heart on a journey for what she searched for. Silky white hair flowed gracioulsy on her as she took her head from side to side. Maybe out of no where one would fly from the sky and choose her, as if though. She side and went on. Sticking her head to the ground to get a few bites in before someone actually did come along.

The brothers recognised something. Their orange, predatory eyes watched this chocolate femme as she encroached upon their borders, but there was something about her – she was kin. Though Mirage hadn’t had a chance to inform them of her, the devious little shadow had other ways of marking those of the Qian. The lingering touch of their sister was detected by the sensitive nerves within their nostrils, and they smiled as they approached. They heard the fae’s words, but paid little heed; they were essentially a part of this mare’s extended family now. For that was what the Qian was.

“We may not be in charge.”
“But we can offer you the protection of the Foothills.”
“And the reassurance that the Qian is with you.”
“Always.”

They were softly teasing tones, like that an older brother might taunt their younger sister. They domineering forms circled the maiden once, it’s not that they were trying to be intimidating, merely getting a good view of the cocoa one so that they would be able to recognise her in future. They didn’t give their names, in that respect they enjoyed playing games of words before breaching such introductions, just like their sister.

“So who is it that munches on the grasses of the Foothills today?” Maskan’ gentlemanly voice questioned, and the brother’s shared a roguish grin with each other before easing their weights onto opposite hind legs.

Shirah
the true side

Could it have been any sooner for two gentleman to show up? Her light body shifted unevenly as she chewed her last bits of grass and pulled her light neck up. Tiara held to an almost unsure position. Fight or flight, every look of her body gave the suggestion of such a belief. Shirah watched them carefully as they quickly closed the distance between her and the two. Twins of no doubt she gathered quickly. Obvious brothers for the two had the same coloring, same body, same color, and almost the same markings. 'Interesting' her mind screamed as she absorbed in the two's wonderous details. Although she was startled still by their on going speed towards her. Her eyes squinted as she decided wether to step away or to accept the unwanted circling.

Tones flew from one mouth and then from the next. Attention giving ears swiveled their ways back and forth. A small flick of her white tail gave way to her soon comfortable position. Her muscles unbunched and she leaned back on her haunches as the two finished their speech. "I'm assuming by your tension releasing tones you are apart of the Qian, brothers." she offered in a polite, almost flirtatious smile. Her green eyes admiring their identical orange. "Your colors, they fascinate me." she said smoothly as she stretched her neck out to look closer at Madryns front legs. The orange rather evenly cut off. Almost as if it was painted on. Flicking an ear she pulled back her neck and rather held it proudly. She liked them much just as so far.

A slight teasing snort vibrated her nostrils harshly. Ruffling the smooth chocolate skin. Moving her tired hooves around cautiously she landed a perfect spot in a soft patch of grass that she had yet to chomp on. The right of her side facing Maskan, her green symbol, on her shoulder, now easily visible if they had yet to pick that up on their global watch around her. "I guess titles are an important piece of knowing someone..." she quieted off before bouncing back to the conversation "Shirah's the name, who's the two fair gentleman I've had the pleasure of encountering?"

Her tones were so smooth and calm. Like her entire being had gone from a state of stress to a complete comfotable position. She rather liked the two giants company alot. She'd must be with them again. Shirah's brain triggered an offer that she had yet to answer. That of being kept here at her will. The offer of having a home and safe keeping in the beautiful place she stood. Her eyes snapped open widely, the triangular hearing devices atop her head rushed forward to Madyrn and Maskan. "Before I lose trace of your before topic, I will take you up on that nice offer." she smiled quickly, "Been awhile since I've had a place to call home..." Green eyes slowly dulled. Her creative brightness quickly fell away. Almost as if she had slumped away into a state of depression and ever so quickly.

She turned her head from them and stared to the trees behind her. Shirah just couldn't look at them right now, she might burst to tears. She was the strong type and this just seemed to tear down her indepence and strength.

She spoke strangely, this mare before them. Her sentences were a bit disjointed, like she didn’t know whether her thoughts were coming or going; but they were able to grasp the playful tone she conducted, as well as the confidence she exuded. Rough smiles drew themselves along the charred lips of the brothers as they watched her, they weren’t about to deny that the mare held a physical attraction, though it usually took more than that for them to bed with anyone. Both steeds had only ever sired a small handful of foals, the mares whom they had decided to couple with were extraordinary indeed – given the strong females they were raised with, their mother and sisters, most ‘normal’ mares simply didn’t tickle their fancy. And certainly no mare, extraordinary or not, had managed to capture their hearts and souls – no, such deep feelings were reserved only for their family, who they served to protect.

“Madyrn.”
“Maskan.”

The brother obliged to give their names to the maiden, she would learn them soon enough, especially if she intended on being a part of the Qian. But what she said and did next confused the brothers, almost to the point where they didn’t know what to do. They were used to mares who were able to control their emotions, who did not allow sadness or weakness to show. That the simple mention of a homeland caused such a reaction in the femme puzzled them – they saw no benefit in remembering bad times, for then whatever feelings they had during those times would rise within them. No, it made much more sense to them to remember the good times and simply remember the lessons from the bad times, that way they were able to look forward with a clear countenance and positive mindframe.

“Focus not on what has been lost.”
“Try instead to focus on what you’ve been given.”

They were simple commands, but coming from the brute’s deep tones and rough temperaments they probably seemed unusual. The brothers didn’t really know what else to do, they only offered physical comforts to those they knew well enough to trust them. But they moved nearer to the maiden, at least showing her that they would indeed be guardians for her while she composed herself once more. Standing on either side of her, but allowing at least a foot between her flanks and their own, they stood vigilant by Shirah.
