After some time of thought, the young pegasus filly had decided to take on this what seemed impossible task. She had come here before, meeting a silent stallion who had not given her permission to enter nor had he really turned her away. She had instead left to see if her mother had been returned home to her. She had not, and the filly had been placed under the watchful care of a jet black stallion who could change shape and make drawings instead of speaking. Azale had enjoyed his company, but had been glad when her mother had returned from being held prisoner. Kaimen however was still missing... Azale wondered if the feathered colt had just wandered off and was sleeping or got himself lost. She left her mother to find him.

That brings the little adventurer back to where it had all began. Back to the desert of Dragon's Throat. This time she called out loudly to any and all that could hear. "I'm here as part of a quest given to me by the Goddess of the Moon... If anyone wishes to know more please come ask." With that the pale filly with strange markings began to look about for her first kill of two. Orange eyes settled on a rather mean looking snake. It was long and fat, clearly well fed so it couldn't be young or weak. No mercy kills child.. No mercy would be given. The filly charged up from behind the snake, holding her wings tight against her body so that they did not hold her up. Her hooves sought to land against any part of the snake she could to slow it down to that she could crush it's head.

The snake had been cold and was basking in the sun, but hadn't been there long enough to get truly warmed, so it was unable to react fast enough and met its death.

The sound of the snake squishing under her hooves was certainly the worst sound the six month old had ever heard. Her ears laced back against her skull as if she was trying to drown the sound out. The smell of blood was thick in the air, making the young one feel sick. She hesitated to looked down, but finally did and saw the almost squished body of the snake under her. Gently she stepped back onto the sand, before nudging the dead snake with her hoof. One down, one to go... she thought to herself. Instantly her orange eyes began seeking out the next victim. No pegasus had come to stop her from completing this part of her quest. Since she was half way done there was no way she was turning back now.

It was just then her eyes spotted yet another creature... this one was warm blooded compared to her last. A desert rat was trying to sneak past the bloody mess she had made. Her eyes locked on as if she was a hunting bird looking at her next meal. She tried the same tactic again, suddenly bursting forward hooves digging into the dirt and rocky land. The sight had to be quiet evil looking as a slight blood spatter was still fresh on her pale coat. Now here she was, seeking to crush the life out of an innocent rat who just happened upon the wrong place at the worst time. The things we do for power..

The rat freezes as a shadow draws over it, instincts telling it to hide rather than rune, much to its demise. Hooves meet it easily enough, taking its life.
