Pearlescent and regal a white mare stands upon a hill overlooking her heat-worn valley. The place which was once lush and green in all directions looks like a wilted flower to her eyes. The mare knows the Sun God must be angry for this heat is not natural and she is intrigued to know his purpose. She wonders also why the other of the Gods Three stand by and let the Sun God wreak havoc upon their subjects.

Gossamer tilts her head to the right to gaze upon the waterfall which is the centerpiece of her herdland. Framed by ferns and sage alike it it usually roaring with the sound of moving water, the soil beneath it wet and rich. Now, it trickles and splashes tamely like a horse too long starved. Which, she thinks to herself, is exactly what her herd will be if she does not appoint the Judges and Diplomats now. Right now. It is a shame to appointing of the Herd's important citizens must be rushed but she has given is much consideration and knows the horses she would accept as well as the ones she would deny.

With a sigh the Chieftess picks herself up, straightens her mareish posture, and turns back down the trail which she had only recently come up. She picks down the rocky trail, a fine trial of dust floating up behind her. The Benevolent's mane and tail flutter about her still, as in her youth, but today the mare notice's not. Today she must appoint the judges and diplomats. Then tomorrow deal with the numerous amounts of other things she still had to do. Her white hides ripples when she comes to a stop beneath Narmer's Jade Canopy. The sun beating down upon her back and the atmosphere cools by several degrees.

She survey's the land but her golden eyes rest upon nothing but short stalks of grass. Lazulli swoops down to land upon her back, though she had no real interest in hearing about the gory details of his hunt she stilled inquired,
"How was the game today my Bonded"
to which Lazulli chirrups and replies,
"Better than the last few weeks, though still little. My stomach still rumbles like a hungry elephant."
Gossamer sighs and looks about. She knows most will hear her, but Evers was always one to be studying up in a cave so she looks to Lazulli who rolls his eyes but says anyways,
"I will go fetch the little blue one Heart's Love."
and with that he flies off. She smiles as she watches him go. They had spent almost an entire lifetime together, the only relationship which was as long as her and Indy's, and yet it was stronger than anything else. Lazulli soon leaves her sight and mentally confirms to have found the little blue. Gossamer then turns her attention to the herd and bugles out in a regal, clear voice, "Members of the herd, all who wish to be Judges and Diplomats, or even ones who would like to volunteer, please show yourselves now and state the position you wish."
