@[Anthe]

Hector smiled broadly when the patched belle agreed to accompany him back to the Throat. It was true, he had been afraid she would decide to roam by herself and he would spend the next few months of his life worrying for her safety. A flood of relief relaxed his tense body and he flicked his head in the direction of his home, vibrant pools watching Anthe and motioning for her to follow. "Follow me then gentle Anthe, it is a long way to the Dragons Throat herd and her warmer weather. I just hope we don't catch a thunderstorm on the way over." He looked up to see the blackening sky and the angry looking clouds, he concluded they might even have to walk some of it. Before setting off skyward, the hybrid cast about with searching eyes for his friend, shouting the boggarts name in his mind until finally he felt his presence by his side.

Come friend, I do not like those angry clouds. The spectre sent waves on foreboding emotion to his bonded, making the tribrid even more jumpy. The world seemed to be taking a deep breath; it was still. Too still.

The orange stud turned back to smile at Anthe once, checking she was ready to follow, before unfurling wings and leaping skywards. His fiery form like a beacon against the strange sky. Feathery appendages slapped down and soon he was away, powering south and towards the Dragons Throat. His mind thought back to his conversation with Anthe and he tilted his head to try catch her eye. "Please ask if there is anything specific you'd like to know, I will try my best to answer any questions you have." He took a deep breath then and thought about the most important things she might need to know. "Our leaders are Kri the Resolute and Sumati the Sin Bird. Commander and Chancellor. We have an exceptional good crop of warriors also led partly by Midas our General. Some horses come here seeking to learn about other important tasks such as healing or intelligence or even crafting. We have a wide variety of horses in our herd, so I'm sure if anything does take your interest, there will be someone around to help you."

He left it at that for now, waiting to see if she had any more questions or thoughts she might like to share. Maybe she'd like to know more about Helovia itself, though Hector's knowledge of the land as a whole was rather limited. Rarely did he waver from Dragons Throat to Threshold. His longest adventure would have to of been when the Valiant stole him for a personal errand. Much to the boys chagrin, though he fulfilled his task with diligence.

It was indeed a long way to the Dragons Throat and it was almost midday of the next day by the time Hector made it there, powering over the in progress wall. Folding wings, he glided slowly to land atop a cliff as to better look out across the land. All seemed well and peaceful as the sea shimmered in the background, the wind was still cold and the ground was soggy, but the hybrid much prefered it to the muddy damp forests. Veci floated down beside him as he turned to find the painted face of Anthe, smiling happily as he ushered to the land before them. "Welcome to the Dragons Th-" Startled eyes were cast above, to the sky, the sun seemed to flicker and fade, something Hector had never seen before in his entire life. Then; there was nothing but darkness. No stars. No moon. No light. For minutes he remained silent, stunned into a statue like state. What was happening? When finally he began to recover from the shock, panic set in instead. Seeping and clawing its way through his bones, accelerating his heart beat and playing havoc with his mind. Wild theories spun about his head, was the world coming to an end? Had the Gods abandoned them? Was it just the Dragons Throat? Was the whole of Helovia in darkness?

It was the steadfast presence of Veci that calmed him down in the end. The boggart, who too was surprised at the sudden blackout, recovered quicker and comforted his bonded until finally Hector began to breathe at a normal rate. This wasn't the time to be standing around and behaving like a child now, they needed to find out what was going on. Of course, he couldn't leave just yet. Anthe was still with him. He cast about once again, reaching out with his velvet nose to try and find the form of the pegasus mare. "Are you okay Anthe? Be careful where you step and fly!" He strained his ears and flared his nostrils, his steps were like a foal's first stumbling movements. "Damn it!" He would feel much more sure of himself if others he knew were around him like Kri or Gaucho, but for now he was glad of Veci's presence to guide him and of Anthe for companionship.
