Hana was finally alive again, she moved quickly with her brothers and sisters. The dame was here, finally about to prove herself. Her blood sister and brother had remained behind, as per orders. It was just Hana representing herself and her blood family. A smile had settled on her lips. With every step she took she felt more alive than she ever had before in her whole entire life. This young mare was finally about to find herself. Today this mare would become a proud warrior of The Foothills, Hana knew that today she would grow from a child and become a proper mare in every way. Mind, body and soul.

They crossed into Edge territory, Hana's ears perked up with interest and she sniffed eagerly at the air. If was a fresh morning, a good day for a battle to take place. Ruby orbs studied the Edge, the lightly shaded mare had never been here before, it was a truly beautiful place. Such a shame that blood was going to be shed onto the ground. Needing a moment to ready herself, Hana closed her eyes and sucked in a deep breath. The nerves fluttered around in her chest however she was also insanely excited. All around her she heard noises, they were quiet, kind and gentle sounds of the morning. They calmed the mare. Soon all she would hear would be the sounds of battle, brave ones taking each other on. Slowly her gentle eyes opened up to the Edge's land again. A shaky breath was drawn in through her chops, her eyes darted about studying the surface she was about to battle on. It was solid, sturdy and slightly chilly. Not that this temperature would matter when she was actually engaged in a fight. Once someone else was slamming her around, the coloured mare knew that she would be warm enough.

The competition was apparently quite skilled, filled with experienced fighters among their ranks. Having never personally met someone from The Edge, Hana wasn't sure what her opponent would be like. She prayed that they would be evenly matched though, if it was a good fight, decent yet tough then she wouldn't mind loosing with dignity. Her attitude was a little more confident than that though. Hana flicked her tail as she waited on the borders, living among The Grey had taught her that you never did anything great by giving in. So she was never giving in again, in fact it was caution to the wind, absolute complete freedom in what she did, how she decided to fight and what she did with her life.

The grey doe stood there with a small small on her lips. It meant that she was on top of her game. No matter what happened in this battle, they would never break her stride. In fact they would never slow the momentum of how she enjoyed her life.

Hana was ready to smell blood and she didn't give a damn.

The morning was extravagant and the air was serene. The stallion was not one to really admire his surroundings but on a day like this there was not really much else he could do. With recently becoming a protector of the edge, Duch knew not to much about his "job" for say.

The dark stallion was demon like, a skull sitting on his face. His eyes the color of the sky, a piercing blue that seemingly could look into someones soul. His wings were those of a bats, and his body, muscular and toned. Blood color splattered his canvas. A lone plate of armor covered his ivory face. Horns stuck out from the bridge part of his nose, the covering on his ears that seemingly that of an amphibians. It looked like a dragons face, no more, no less. Tipping his bat wings, a metal claw extender stuck into the brisk air.

He could hear their hooves like thunder. He knew what was happening, weather or not he would accept it was the question. There had been some doubt in the stallions mind as weather this was really his home, or simply a place he just called "home" or if he was truly in debt to those who resided here with him. His eyes quickly darted around searching for the stallion who had become his brother. The stallion who was now a king. But he could not find the stallion by the name of Thor withing the midst of the rushing bodies.

With a deep breath he extended his long muscular legs, his wings tucked in close to his body as he charged towards the horses that crept out of the woods like spiders. They were looking to catch their prey but Duch would not allow it. He had made up his mind then and there. He wasn't called a protector for nothing, and that is what he would do... protect his home.

Dirt rose around him as he stopped in front of a silver mare. His eyes cold and staring into hers. A low growl seemed to form from the depths of his barrel. "If I were you, I would turn around before I rip that pretty little face off" his teeth bearing and his ears pinned back.

His wings stretched out along side him revealing the silver claws that hung from each "finger" for say. Turning his body to the side he quickly lunged at her, his claws heading toward the soft part of her neck.

The sound of their hooves furthered her excitement and desire for the battle to begin. She watched them all rush towards her and her family. They were trained for this though, nothing would scare them off. Her ruby eyes studied one winged stallion that stopped in front of her. Titling her head to the side with a wicked smile, Hana waited for him to make the first move. Dust flittered around them, as soon their eyes met nothing else mattered. The only thing that this mare was going to focus on would be this stallion and their battle. Her ears pined and her usually kind smile turned to a leer. With his own ears pinned back, the stallion growled at her. Hana laughed at his statement coldly. Such petty words would not frighten her off. "Aw, you think I'm pretty." Hana nickered back at him softly, but her tones were laced with poison. Her response was not a question, she was in fact sure that this was the first and last thing that he would say about her, that would be right.

Her eyes watched his movements, his wings stretched out along side him. It was impressive, she was only an equine with no horn or wings to make her look special. However she didn't need any weapons like this to make her be a good warrior. Hana knew what she had to work with, what her strong points were. This knowledge made her a strong warrior, one day she hoped to be a great one. Eyes that never missed a thing, were quick to note the silver claws that hung from his wings. They looked deadly, she was going to have to do her best to avoid those. Then it was game on, she watched him ready and waiting as he lunged at her. Coming towards her like a flying bag of bricks, Hana braced herself for the pain that she knew was coming. The deadly claws came towards her neck, so Hana threw herself into action. As his claws came closer and closer with every passing second, the warrior of The Foothills threw herself into action. As quickly as she could the mare lifted her eyes and head to look up directly at the sky, then pulled her neck back as far away from the deadly sliver claws that should could manage. She was not quite fast enough to avoid all of them though, his first claw caught her, and scraped along the underside of her neck. A startled gasp escaped her chops, but she fell silent again. Show no weakness. Knowing the scrape was not too bad, eagerness now filled her, she wanted to return the favour. Only parts of her neck had been damaged enough to draw a little blood, but mostly Hana just received a nasty scrape.

Loosing track of his position, she brought her eyes back down to earth and realised that it was now her turn to attack, he did not pose a serious threat to her at this very second, she had to grab the opportunity while it still existed. Falling into an offensive position made the lightly shaded doe grin with pleasure. Her eyes were watery from the pain, they were not filled with tears though. Just hunger to cause her opponent as much pain as possible. Assuming that he was still in front of her, Hana bunched up her muscles ready to spring forward and rip into a piece of her enemy. Her mouth was bone dry, she opened it anyway into a snarl. Spreading her jaws as far apart as possible, the dame readied herself to hopefully taste his flesh and blood.
Releasing her bunched up muscles she flew through the air. Hair flaring out begin her, Hana hoped that she looked like a god sent warrior flying into battle.
A warrior sent to inflict furious pain to all those who opposed her.

He could still hear all the horses footsteps as they crowded towards one another. He used to love the sound of fighting. It used to be like birds singing in his ears. He used to love the taste of blood too. It was like the sweetest of grasses to him. It had been awhile since the quickly getting older stallion had been in a fight. He had fought Thor once before, and Thor had beat him in all honorably and by all means he deserved it. "Don't flatter yourself to much" he cut back quickly. His voice was emotionless and cold, just as always.

As he lunged forward to cut her he felt one of his claws graze her neck. He saw from the corner of his eye her head thrown back, his other claws barely missing her. Her head quickly coming back down and lunging towards him. Her mouth was open wide and he could see every tooth that laid in her mouth. She moved quickly and with perfect precision. His feet crossed as he attempted to get away. But his open weeks made him a bit slower to step sideways. He watched as her head grow closer to his side. Her teeth sinking into the soft part where his wing attached to his shoulder. He let out a snort and quickly retreated his wing. He could feel the pain quickly jolt through his entire wing which made it a bit harder to move. His eyes narrowed on her as his hind quarters quickly turned away from her so he was now facing her head on.

The last time he remembered taking a bite like that was from his father. It was a warning bite but still left him in more pain than necessary. But his one was from a fight. It might leave a scar, but honestly Duch wouldn't mind. He loved his scars. They showed character and somehow strength showing that he survived.

His front feet quickly came off the ground as he reared up. Sending all his weight forward he lashed his hooves out in hopes to catch some part of her in their grasps. His head leaned low between his legs in some type of defense to shield from and oncoming attacks towards his legs.

Teeth sunk into the skin, she had hit her target. Forcing her teeth through his sin was tough, Hana knew that she could not remain attached to his wing joint for long. Wrenching her jaws apart and releasing the flesh and fur from between her teeth, the warrior let her target go. Pleasure rushed through her knowing that now he hurt as well. A snort of pain escaped from him, causing Hana's eyes to flick up to his face. She studied his face for a moment, committing it to memory. Then the moment passed quickly. They were moving again, her eyes followed the retreating wing. Looks had she had done even more damage than what she had originally intended. Excellent. He moved, turning to face her directly. She mirrored his movements shifting her weight from hoof to hoof, waiting for him to being his next move or attack. She slipped into a defensive stance, allowing him to take the offensive. She was ready for his next attack. Her neck stung, droplets of blood still fell from her neck, the pain had eased though. The blood flow from the wound had also eased, now it barely bled and the blood had dried in places to start healing the wound.

He was graceful and quick as his legs lifted off of the ground, her eyes watching him raise into a powerful stance. Knowing that if she didn't act fast she would be feeling a whole heck of pain, the mare pushed herself into action. While having her opponents hooves crash into her chest cavity would injure her greatly, if they landed onto her rump she would still be able to move, more than that she would still be able to fight. He would only land on her rump if she wasn't fast enough to get out of the way. Her reaction time had slowed, but with dry eyes Hana swung her body around to the left. Kicking up the top soil, creating a grit and dust cloud, Hana's left hand side now faced his deadly hooves. Still moving forward hoping to doge his hooves completely, as she had feared, she wasn't fast enough. The sound of flesh getting thumped, slapped and crushed all at once wasn't a pleasant sound. Screaming out in pain, Hana whipped her head around to shoot daggers at him from her ruby eyes. That had hurt. The left hand side of her rump that now ached, however her eyes remained completely dry this time. Glancing down to the ground she noticed the upturned soil from her defensive move, a smile and a new plan now formed.

With quick movements, the now dirty and bloody mare moved to get in another attack. Trying to fall into the offensive position in the battle was difficult, however she was confident that she would manage it. Lifting up her front legs, Hana used her back legs to spin her body around to the right. She was was quick in her movements, now her newly bruised rump faced the defender of The Edge. Being sure to pick up the dirt, gravel and pebbles in her hooves, Hana bucked. Hoping that the flicked up dirt would go into his eyes may have been seen as a low move, it was a battle though. You did what you had to do to survive. Hana prayed that the grit would enter his eyes or at least distract him enough so that he did not see her actual attack. Her hooves were aimed for just above his breast. She knew that the flesh and muscles where softer in that bodily area, in order to maximise her damage Hana hoped to only attack the areas that would end up damaging the most. Ruthlessly her hooves flew through the air, the gravel leading the way. Nothing was going to stop this mare from doing her very best to win this battle.
She felt no remorse for her opponent.
