[Dated to after monsters but before invasion.]
Debris filled surf lapped around the hooves of the Wild Rose as she stood in field of destruction wrought by the demonic creature that had risen from the waters to fight with wind and darkness. Dark eyes observed the pocked sand where poison still sizzled faintly, warping the grains of dirt with its toxicity. Took note of the scattered corpses of malformed crabs bearing a mockery of a foal's head upon their backs, the plates of hardened darkness that rocked in the waves and so closely resembled obsidian.
"What a mess. Kept it from wrecking the world but still have to do something about the debris it left behind once we got rid of it." They couldn't just leave it like this. What if that poison was stumbled upon by an unwary foal? What if these corpses were poisonous and contaminated the land and killed the scavengers? It wouldn't be a pleasant situation if they were and sea gulls fell dead from the skies on the cliffs back at home. And as for those bits of armor? Walking hazards at the very least.
Dark eyes turned, seeking the ebon figure of her herdmate and shieldbrother. She wasn't sure where Kri and the others had gone, scattered like feathers in a strong breeze once the enemy was dealt with. Perhaps one or two would trickle back if they saw someone going about resolving the issue of an untidy battlefield on the doorstep of the Edge's lands. But she doubted it. If anything, she would expect others from the herd to wander down before any of the other fighters came back. Kri, she knew, would be concerned about any other monsters possibly showing up near the Throat. And as for those outcasts? One could never tell.
"Any thoughts?" She inquired mildly, warm and amused. Had Paladin ever had to pick through the aftermath of a battle and deal with the problems that came with it?
