RE: heaven knows i've tried - Dröm - 08-08-2014 Dröm
She is called to, her name shouted into the air. At first, goldy has no idea who could be calling her. It couldn't be Midas or anyone else. Then she remembers the day from the Threshold, when the lovely snowflake girl had picked her up and brought her here-- brought her home. Without hesitance, Dröm quickly begins to move to the voice, and upon reaching the snowflake mare, she has already learnt that Elsa wants to do something with her. Dröm wonders what something fun could be. She never thought of Elsa as a party girl, but first impressions do not tell the whole story. "Elsa!" She says her name happily and moves to brush her muzzle against Elsa's. It's a friendly gesture that Dröm has used many times to greet horses. "What kind of fun?" She says playfully, already preparing to bolt off if she says tag, or something like that. Dröm has recently become very fond of her home. The other night, she even got to help protect the herd! It was a good sign that Midas trusted her enough to save the herd. Or was he scared she wouldn't last if she was needed to fight the moss? Oh, it didn't matter to her! She was merely glad that someone trusted her enough to do something. It makes her feel even better that a friend is calling out to her. Elsa is certainly a friend now. There is no way to deny it. Soon, (hopefully) they'll be sharing secrets and giggles like real friends do! Dröm loves the feeling of a friend. She had one once, but her father murdered the friend. Mezzy was her name. Just the thought of the depressed little girl being murdered made her shudder. No matter how hard she tried to get that memory out of her mind, it was impossible. Her memory was much too good to forget her horrible past. All her siblings, dead. But, of course, the couple that managed to live-- to thrive. Some could say Dröm is thriving. In her mind, there is no doubt. She is happy here. She can be relaxed, knowing she won't become queen of some morbidly horrible herd. She is relaxed knowing she wont have to take down other herds, empires, to be the best. It's nice knowing she has friends like Elsa that don't care if she's some noble queen or not. It's nice just being a Genetrix I. "words" RE: heaven knows i've tried - Elsa - 08-09-2014

Elsa's pristine (ish) figure bounds towards her in an excited trot. Dröm's body halts as she sees Elsa's face. She wonders if Elsa knows her eye is badly smushed. A concaved grape. She knows that is something not easily missed, but why is she so happy? Has she never had both eyes healthy? One of Goldy's ears slips backwards as she listens to Elsa giggle. Unable to help herself, she listens to her words then joins in the laughing. Dröm isn't surprised when Elsa hints at the game Hide-n-Seek. It's a fun way to relax and just have fun. Suddenly, Elsa takes off in the opposite direction. Dröm reacts the only way she knows and closes her eyes. The sound of hoofbeats galloping away tells Dröm where the white mare has gone to. Should Dröm have told her no flying? It would be rather unfair if Elsa hid in the clouds, a place Dröm has never been. With the silent toss of her head and two caramel eyes flickering open, Dröm takes off in the direction she thinks Elsa has gone. As she searches for Elsa, she thinks about the mare's eye. Is she blind in that eye? Surely she would not be able to see out of it. Dröm had met another blind horse recently, the mysterious stag from the threshold. She had been his rabbit. He had attacked the golden goat that had come with a crass expression and an overly cocky attitude. It had been raining, the coyote (or stag) turned and attacked the goat after we had already begun to leave. Perhaps I should galloped over to his opponent and stand between them. A wall. Did she have the bravery to stop a fight? Then she hadn't. What if she had been with Elsa and whoever had done that to her eye? Would she have stopped the fight? There are many small ponds and a few large ponds Dröm has passed already. Her forelock dances on her white blaze as she prances around. Her smile has faded and been replaced with a look of deep concentration. "I'm going to find you, Elsa!" She shouts in her overly girly voice. She begins searching around, completely ignoring the pile of rubble, doubting Elsa has crouched down and hid herself behind the pile. This is a part of this herd's ground she has not seen yet, but it is just as beautiful as the rest of the land. ooc: congrats on your 200th post! :D "words" RE: heaven knows i've tried - Elsa - 08-23-2014
