Hippocratic Oath - Tilney - 12-01-2015
Nothing but happiness clouded Tilneys head today. He had woken up as a citizen of the Worlds Edge. He felt a sense of belonging that he hadn't in a long time and there was something completely refreshing about the oceans breeze that drifted through the trees. Refreshed he was in other ways too; He was here, starting again. tilney And Oh there is more to this life @Calista RE: Hippocratic Oath - Calista - 12-01-2015
The snowy maiden had spent most of her time recently in the gardens, getting to know her new workplace even better and aiding with the constant need for remedies for the members of the herd, as well as stocking up the stores for Frostfall, which was soon to come. She was not as skilled in the magical arts as many of the members of the herd, but such physical duties were well within her capabilities, and indeed were her area of expertise, and she had taken to them gladly, though Calista had begun to work on becoming more adept in the medicinal arts. Today, however, she decided to carry out her tasks in the farthest garden, which was still close enough to hear a whinny of summons if she were needed. It was then that her azure orbs spotted a figure at the Edge of the dale. The stag's fiery pelt stood out against a canvas of viridescent foliage. Unable to figure out what he was doing there from afar, the mare set down the dock leaves she had been picking and went to see what this stranger wanted. Moving at a steady, ground-eating lope, the Calista skirted the edges of the garden, her nostrils flaring as she took in the scents around her. Her passage was almost silent, and the strands of soft grass crumpled effortlessly under her weight, only to pop right back up again. As she approached the stallion she broke to a walk, calling out to him with a soft whicker. "Can I help you, sir?" When he did not reply, Calista became slightly worried and perplexed. He seemed to be stumbling about quite clumsily like a drunkard. It was soon made apparent upon her approach that something was quite the matter. "Oh dear," The woman muttered under her breath, hurrying over to help the antlered stallion, who had by now stumbled and fallen over onto his side. There he lay sprawled out among the flowers, a funny expression plastered across his face, emerald eyes staring off into the distance as if in some sort of trance. His lips were peeled back in a beatific smile. "He must have found the nightshade." Sniffing him gingerly, it was not difficult for Calista to identify the cause of his predicament. Having no idea who this young lad was or even if he was even from the Edge at all (she certainly hadn't seen him before), the mare glanced around hastily for something to lessen the nightshade's quick-setting ramifications. "Talk?"

Melodic echoes filled his skull, a faes gentle voice whispering into sleepy ears. Tilneys wide eyes tried in vain to search for the source of the call until splashes of coal and white crowded his sight. Focussing his spinning vision, he could decipher the face of a painted stranger looking worriedly into his eyes. "hmmm?" he murmured, lashes fluttering over glazing eyes. Rolling further onto his spine, both front feet dangling over his ribs while his hind pair hung from their hocks, gingery eyelids closed over his verdant eyes. Vivid visions began to play under his eyelids and his brow firmed; usually his dreams were not enjoyable. Opening his eyes however, the dream hardly left him. tilney And Oh there is more to this life @Calista |
