Most who have met Echo would have to describe him as odd, to say the very least. Though he possesses a great intelligence and depth of understanding, he has never been overly concerned with making sure that other’s know it or in conforming to what might be termed acceptable social behavior.

He had a talent and a liking for quiet observation, which leads to a tendency to stare more than is usually polite. He also enjoys listening, to anyone and everything, and will, in unchecked lean quite close tho the object of his focus. This innocent invasion of personal space is Lack of speech for long periods have caused many to assume that the beast is dim-witted, but that is far from true; his words are always well though out and usually quite profound but he seldom uses them in any great quantity. He takes his time in all things, never rushes, and often refuses to be rushed.

The wise man know his own mind, and is not often bothered in explaining it; his humor bent towards irony and inside jokes that he will utter casually and not mind in the slightest that no one else understands or finds them amusing, and he will chuckle quietly to himself. When he does speak, it can be somewhat cryptic often answering questions with questions and using wide turns of logic to help others understand the ‘bigger picture' and give advice. In addition to his predilection for trying to make non-Dorobians understand his native tongue, Echo has multiple verbal linguistic ticks: Limited use of pronouns and referring to himself in the third person, use of nature-based metaphors. Perhaps the most enigmatic communication tactic of his it the use of a thoughtful hum in conjunction with various facial expressions that is clearly meant to convey paragraphs worth of information.

Though most often outwardly relaxed, Echo takes his calling very seriously; he is the “mganga” (healer) and he is the “laibon”(wise man); he sees each title as one part of the whole, a caretaker of body and soul. It is not only his path in life but also a sacred duty to heal the creatures of the world, and to give comfort and guidance. He is a god-fearing man, and extremely superstitious and work tirelessly to maintain balance and order in all spiritual things around himself.

Above all, Echo is kind. A gentle demeanor and a patient spirit make him a a calming presence. He is always ready to nurture and protect, especially the young. Those their exuberance might be exasperating he has a soft spot for children and those who are similarly full of life. The man has a markedly non-violent approach and will very rarely seek out conflict, unless in comes to the defense of others.
