Breeds: Gypsy Vanner Description: Bald faced chestnut tovero, bulky build Pidge is a strong structured yet elegant mare. She is bulky, thick furred, and very well groomed. Her body is mainly made up of an off white color, spotted with chestnut here and there. Her muzzle is pink and velvety soft, leading into her white face where her icy blue eyes are surrounded by chestnut. Her mane is brown at the front with creamy stripes where it curls over her face, leading into a curly and wavy white mane that is rather long and covers her shoulders.

Overview: A sweet, well worded and intelligent mare. She is kind and caring to whoever she meets until given reason not to be. Traits: Well-worded: Pidge is by no means manipulative, but she knows what to say at the right time. Her words are genuine, convincing, and often used to her advantage. And with a voice like hers, it's almost impossible to say no. Goof: Pidge absolute adores a good laugh and a little trouble making here and there. Making others happy brings her great joy, however she often goes too far with her comedy acts, getting her into sticky situations. Great hearing and strong body: Pidge has large hoofs and ears due to her background which help her in day to day life. Her ears heighten her hearing due to their size, and her hoofs pack a powerful punch when she kicks. Weather-resistant: Pidge is sleek in physique but her heritage ensures ridiculous amounts of fluff and fur. Having an gypsy vanner background blesses her with her thick coat and large ears that can hear thunder cracks from miles away. Too much fur: Her heritage has it's benefits, but there is no denying the ridiculous amounts of hair she has often cause problems. Pidge will often find herself tripping over her own hoof fur or being blinded by her own mane. Eager to please: With an attitude set on impressing those around her, Pidge will almost never back down from a challenge, even if it is possibly dangerous. She can often get hurt or even embarrass herself when she tries to look good. In Depth: Pidge was raised as a well rounded mare. Equipped with respect and a very sweet-worded vocabulary, upon meeting her you almost cannot help but like her. She carries herself with elegance, but she is certainly not afraid to get dirty, because beyond that well-groomed and poised exterior there's nothing more that she likes than having a little bit of fun! Pidge has a very friendly demeanor to her, making her a very approachable horse, despite her rather bulky size, but her thickness is merely fur and muscle and certainly not fat, and Pidge will be sure to remind you of that fact. Pidge, though very acquainted with the down-dirty, grimy lifestyle, still holds a very feminine lure to her, despite the drafty size she holds. History Summary: Foalhood: Pidge was originally bought to be a gift for a young girl going through her "I love ponies!" faze. Her parents had owned enough land to hold a horse or two, and ultimately Pidge was bought to please her. Their farm was located a few hours north of the Fort, nestled into a very nice spot. A few months of unconditional love went by before the mare started growing taller, and the girl started losing interest in her companion. As the human moved into her teenage years, Pidge was left alone in the stall, fed by her owners and patted every so often, but not really cared for in the way that she yearned for. As she begun to grow even bigger, her owners figured that the horse they had bought certainly wasn't going to grow up to be pony sized at all, and eventually sold her to a kind women who owned a quaint little farm located just outside of Fort Bisch, where she would later be put to work inside as a personal horse to her owner who had left her farm to her husband to live inside of the Fort. Adolescence: A few years into her adolescence, after being crammed into a stall and rarely allowed into the paddock, Pidge was taken to a new home where other horses roamed and were very well taken care of. It was the first proper horse-to-horse interaction she had gotten since her birth, which was something almost entirely new to her. She was shy, but also very accepting of love, and the horses that were there surely treated her well, taking her in immediately. As she grew older, she made new friends, old and young, and finally understood what it was like to be free (sorta) and around her own kind. She slowly developed her outgoing personality and social ways that she holds to this day because of the encouragement the other horses gave her. Adulthood: Once Pidge was old enough, she was put to the carts that her owner used for pay. Being a strong, bulky breed, she was outstanding at her job, and quickly became the go-to horse on the farm for pulling. She'd pull plows, carts, and whatever else she was needed for, but she mainly stuck with the carts. She moved with her owner into the Fort, being lucky enough to be the only horse she took with her to work. However, even as good as she was at her job, Pidge couldn't help but aspire to be something more, and she hopes that one day she will be able to join the Calvary and really feel good about what she is doing. Until she can prove herself, she is content with doing her cart pulling job as well as she possibly can.
