"Where brilliance is good and madness is better..."
Helovia Info
Helovia opened in February 2012! We are an active fantasy equine RPG
Where once the world narrowed into naught but gray dust and desolation, the gods called for life. Wielding the elements of fire and light, dark and wind, earth and water, spark and time, they have created Helovia. The realm is set within the mythical globe of Loorien, a planet rich with all variety of creatures and blessed with all manner of magic. Originally populated by nomadic, tribal characters, they've since grown into massive empires saturated with culture and history. Separated into four distinct segments of Helovia, called "The Regions," each band of horse strong enough and capable enough, took up the power and responsibility of leadership. Unicorns, old, wise and mysterious, took to the north, hidden in forests of mists and shadows and rarely making themselves known beyond their cliffs of the World's Edge. Equines, vast, organized and militaristic, split into two, one group went north to the Windtossed Foothills and the other group went south to the Dragon's Throat. Pegasus remained nomadic, making their homes in various parts of The Wilds in a migratory manner. For many generations, the land was peaceful and calm, but peace was never the way of the gods. With a clash of argument, war and bloodshed massacred Helovia, and in the aftermath, the realm was eerily quiet. Now, as newcomers sweep into this land, they are met with the lingering bitterness of the gods and the struggle to reclaim what was lost. Nothing remains safe or certain while sorcerers and soldiers alike brood and bide their time for revenge, honor and glory.

Only the herdlands have a source of light, but lamp-trees with glowing leaves and branches sporadically line the popular roads and paths from place to place.
Doppleganger Plot ☼ - 6/20/13 - The God of Time is still struggling to close the rift though which the dopplegangers have come. He has requested that his brothers and sister assist in closing this hole, but without knowing why it opened, the task is proving difficult. Magic still remains faulty and hard to control, but the herdlands continue to be places of refuge for those who are fortunate enough to call these lands home.
ORANGEMOON cools off the lands with a a viscious force. Colder than normal, a sign of things to come during Frostfall, Helovia is bathed in a rich tropical lushness - albiet a cold one. The coastlines of the Dragon's Throat are pelted constantly by tidal waves, and the desert climate is humid but chilly. Ice begins to form early in the Aurora Basin leaving the winding trails slick and dangerous. The mists of the World's Edge coat everything in a glistening crystalline shine which encourages mould to grow everywhere. The Spectral Marsh is the only area which remains fertile, blissfully temperature and lush.

WEAVER, Corporal of the Aurora Basin, is a relatively recent addition to Helovia and has taken it by storm. Branded with the seal of Death on her chest, intrigue and interest follow both her past and present. Though she is assuredly beautiful, her sometimes sharp personality reveals that there is more to this uni-peg hybrid than meets the eye. Proving herself able on the battlefield in the Basin’s warrior ranks, we can’t wait to see her test her mettle against the looming Kaos happenings! Congratulations!

She was rather intrigued by this floating dolphin. Ardere was most definitely one of the strangest things that she has ever really felt or understood. For some reason, when Laedere was distressed, Ardere also was. When Ardere was calm, Laedere could feel the torrent of calm as well. Aye. This situation was definitely taking some getting used to, but Laedere knew that the dolphins were meant for the ocean. So, with a new determination, she gave a simple canter on the way toward the ocean. A few days travel, indeed, but she was certain that Ardere might benefit from the ocean air in her lungs - and maybe in a spin in the water. Well, if she could still go in the water. After all, we still did not quite understand this whole thing.
Only upon arrival of the sands did she dare to offer words to her floating, dolphin companion which had religiously followed the mare wherever she went. "Aye, does ye find thrill in ye travels by mine side? How does ye even live without continual access to thine salt filled liquid?"
Of course, there was no response from Ardere, simply wide eyes that took on a doe-like appearance. Aye, she was definitely a sweet and rambunctious one. And, at this point, Laedere guessed that Ardere was her sweet and rambunctious one. But what would everyone else think? How would everyone else even take the floating creature of the sea who clung to her side as if there were no tomorrow.
With a thousand lies and a good disguise, hit ‘em right between the eyes
It seemed that when the pair found a new land in Helovia, they explored it in length until they knew every inch of it. When they had discovered the Heavenly Fields they had fallen in love with the area and stayed there for several weeks as they took in the scenery and met the wanderers. It was the same here, with the beach. Argen and his bronze companion took an instant liking to the salt water that splashed up against the burning, pale sand. They even liked the crisp, salty air that played with the ends of Argen's dull blond mane. Solomon lifted high on the warm currents, gliding lazily above his bondmate's head. Soft, joyful trills flitted through the air as the dragon worked his sky dance, the sunlight dancing off his glorious, shiny scales with all the beauty of his royal heritage. The dragon, growing older with each passing day, was still young and filled with wonder, balancing out Argen and his more fiery moods. The stallion shook his head at his carefree, draconian friend as he lowered in the air, spinning elegantly before landing on the equine's strong back.
Clicking a warning, Solomon perked his head toward the winged beast and its companion, just as the mare spoke. Meet her. Solomon pressed, and Argen smirked carefully before changing his path to meet up with the stranger. "That's a funny looking dragon you have there." He called out, a mock, but a playful smile tugged at the corner of his sienna lips.
We are the long forgotten sons
And daughters that don't belong to anyone
We are alone under this sun
We work to fix the work that you've undone

But if you close your eyes, does it almost feel like nothing changed at all?
Ardere did flips. Her body twirling through the sky in elegant fashions that mimicked exactly what Laedere had been naturally inclined to do when she had the ability to fly. The pair still rested up against the beach, allowing the water to lap up against her limbs and cool her off from the heat of the Tallsun days.
Aye, she was watching the way that Ardere would move up closer to the water. How she seemed to just barely touch her tail fin in the liquid, before jumping away. But, for being an aquatic animal, Laedere found it strange that her companion was not actually going into the water.
It was only when Laedere heard the sound of muffled hoofsteps against the sand. Her audits twirled and her head shifted just in time to hear the sound of his voice calling out. Or, at least, she assumed that it was a he from the tone of his voice. There was a mocking tone in his voice, but as he came in closer she could see the smile that was tugging at his lips. "Aye… tis more of a dolphin, shan't ye surmise?" There was a delicate smirk upon her maw as Ardere hovered her way back over toward her bonded's side.
Alas, it seemed as though only Ardere truly understood this connection, and with flashes of the bronze dragon being cast across Laedere's vision she finally speaks up to mention the creature she had only heard mentioned in passing. "And ye's allegorical entity." she murmured, tilting her crown ever so delicately to motion about the dragon which rested upon the large stag's back.
