"Where brilliance is good and madness is better..."
Helovia Info
Helovia opened in February 2012! We are an active fantasy equine RPG
Where once the world narrowed into naught but gray dust and desolation, the gods called for life. Wielding the elements of fire and light, dark and wind, earth and water, spark and time, they have created Helovia. The realm is set within the mythical globe of Loorien, a planet rich with all variety of creatures and blessed with all manner of magic. Originally populated by nomadic, tribal characters, they've since grown into massive empires saturated with culture and history. Separated into four distinct segments of Helovia, called "The Regions," each band of horse strong enough and capable enough, took up the power and responsibility of leadership. Unicorns, old, wise and mysterious, took to the north, hidden in forests of mists and shadows and rarely making themselves known beyond their cliffs of the World's Edge. Equines, vast, organized and militaristic, split into two, one group went north to the Windtossed Foothills and the other group went south to the Dragon's Throat. Pegasus remained nomadic, making their homes in various parts of The Wilds in a migratory manner. For many generations, the land was peaceful and calm, but peace was never the way of the gods. With a clash of argument, war and bloodshed massacred Helovia, and in the aftermath, the realm was eerily quiet. Now, as newcomers sweep into this land, they are met with the lingering bitterness of the gods and the struggle to reclaim what was lost. Nothing remains safe or certain while sorcerers and soldiers alike brood and bide their time for revenge, honor and glory.

ORANGEMOON cools off the lands with a a viscious force. Colder than normal, a sign of things to come during Frostfall, Helovia is bathed in a rich tropical lushness - albiet a cold one. The coastlines of the Dragon's Throat are pelted constantly by tidal waves, and the desert climate is humid but chilly. Ice begins to form early in the Aurora Basin leaving the winding trails slick and dangerous. The mists of the World's Edge coat everything in a glistening crystalline shine which encourages mould to grow everywhere. The Spectral Marsh is the only area which remains fertile, blissfully temperature and lush.

WEAVER, Corporal of the Aurora Basin, is a relatively recent addition to Helovia and has taken it by storm. Branded with the seal of Death on her chest, intrigue and interest follow both her past and present. If you throw us to the wolves, we'll come back leading the pack
Enough was enough.
When Grusha had told her twin that she was going to search for the monster that had killed their brother, Tae just thought it was Grusha's way of saying that she needed time, or space or whatever. But then Kaos had happened, and when Grusha didn't turn up, Tae felt worry begin to settle comfortably in her stomach. After the last time Grusha had disappeared, following after Ampere, Tae knew better than to doubt how capable her twin was, but even so, she was worried.
With Mal and Hel following dutifully behind her, Tae flew to the Spectral Marsh where Kaos' statue loomed ominously amongst the newly-cleared surroundings. The back pillar rose into the sky, pulsing with strange glowing symbols that didn't make any sense to Tae.
Although the girl was skeptical of the newly promoted deity, she wasn't as furious with him as everyone else seemed to be. Sure, he had lied to them, but they'd killed him. What did they really expect?
"Go and see if you can smell Nashoba." Tae murmured to the wolves, who silently nodded and then lunged forward, snapping playfully at one another as they set off to try and find the scent of Grusha's companion.

Too much time had passed and Grusha knew it, but once she set her mind to something there little that anyone could do to sway her. The monster that had tried to kill her and Tae when they had been children was still around. It had killed again and it would continue to kill until they finally put a stop to it. Of course it was not just that reason that Grusha wanted the beast dead, that was only a very, very small reason. The big one was that she was a greedy creature and she wanted its bones and while it was still alive and using them she couldn't have them.
Therefore, it had to die.
Nashoba was growing weary of the constant traveling and searching, and often made that known to Grusha, who would snap at him and send him on his way again. They had a job to do and there would be no resting until it was finally complete. And so the search continued. They would get close and then it would disappear for some time, but they always found it again and would follow it into other lands, but that didn't matter much to the brutish girl.
It wasn't until she stood looking at the strange statue with the glowing blue markings that she finally took note of where she was. She hadn't exactly been present for Kisamoa or Kaos or .... anything else surrounding the new god, but she knew enough from hear-say in her traveling to know where she was. Nashoba didn't like it much and began insisting more fervently that they go back to the Throat. Back home
Grusha sighed irritably and motioned with her head for the wolf to get going, and he took off without hesitation. She followed more slowly, her eyes lingering on the statue for a bit longer before she finally trotted off after her wolf. She could hear his footfalls ahead of her, and his sudden howl made her stop in her tracks. Her ears strained forward and she listened for the sound of other wolves .... there.
"Hel and Mal!" Nashoba shouted through their bond, which meant that Tae would not be far behind. There was a newfound eagerness to her step, and excitement that pulsed in her veins and shreded away flesh and muscle. "Tae!" The skeleton mare called out into the marsh.

As the sound of her sister's voice reached and filled her dark ears, Tae's body immediately whisped away into a fog. Her skin seemed to melt into smoke as she spun nimbly on her hindlegs, white eyes scanning the fields of the marsh to try and locate where Grusha was. Her heart was pounding so loud that for a moment Tae was worried that if her twin was still speaking, she wouldn't be able to hear it over the blood rushing through her ears.
"Grusha?" She called back, ears swiveling again to try and locate her lost twin. Both of her wolves yipped as they found Nashoba. They lunged at the wolf, playfully biting and scratching. Tae ran forward until Grusha came into view. A wolfish grin parted Tae's lips and her body fully began ghostly as she moved forward to embrace her larger counterpart.
"Seestra," she whispered into her twin's muscular shoulder, pressing her black nose into Grusha's pale course braid.
Tae was never this openly emotional with anyone else other than her twin. Her heart was only for Grusha, and although she didn't need to press her face into the swell of Grusha's neck, or wrap her wings around her shoulders, she did so anyways because she missed Grusha.
"Did you kill it?" She asked after a moment, her tone curious but eager. Pulling back slightly, Tae's wide white eyes stared up into Grusha's baby-blues, hoping that the answer would be yes.

For Grusha, displays of emotion always manifested in the appearance of her flesh stripping away, leaving her completely skeletal. It often happened when she heard her beloved sister's voice. The amount of love that she had for her twin was unmatched, so when she heard Tae call her voice the little bit of flesh that was still subbornly clinging to her 'bones' completely bare, pristine white, and gleaming in the light. "Tae!" She called again, and the surge of pure delight that coursed through her body when her darker twin came into view was euphoric.
Physical displays of affection were far more rare for Grusha than emotional ones. She didn't like to be touched and often didn't want to touch anyone else, but Tae was different. Tae was the other half of her heart and soul, so when she felt her sisters muzzle against her neck an her wings wrap around her there was a sense of peace. Nashoba's joyful yips and he played with Mal and Hel, the drone of the crickets in the marsh, even the breeze rustling the leaves and marsh grass seemed to die away completely. All she could hear was Tae's breath and all she could feel was the softness of her feathers against her flesh.
"Did you kill it?"
And then reality took over.
Had she not appeared completely skeletal Tae would have seen the way her ears fell back and her expression became pinched because, no, she had not killed it yet. But Grusha was not annoyed or angry in any way at Tae. She'd spent so much time tracking the damn thing that it would be a natrual assumption that she had killed it. "No." She finally answered, her gaze unwavering as she met her twin's. "We kill it together."
