"Where brilliance is good and madness is better..."
Helovia Info
Helovia opened in February 2012! We are an active fantasy equine RPG
Where once the world narrowed into naught but gray dust and desolation, the gods called for life. Wielding the elements of fire and light, dark and wind, earth and water, spark and time, they have created Helovia. The realm is set within the mythical globe of Loorien, a planet rich with all variety of creatures and blessed with all manner of magic. Originally populated by nomadic, tribal characters, they've since grown into massive empires saturated with culture and history. Separated into four distinct segments of Helovia, called "The Regions," each band of horse strong enough and capable enough, took up the power and responsibility of leadership. Unicorns, old, wise and mysterious, took to the north, hidden in forests of mists and shadows and rarely making themselves known beyond their cliffs of the World's Edge. Equines, vast, organized and militaristic, split into two, one group went north to the Windtossed Foothills and the other group went south to the Dragon's Throat. Pegasus remained nomadic, making their homes in various parts of The Wilds in a migratory manner. For many generations, the land was peaceful and calm, but peace was never the way of the gods. With a clash of argument, war and bloodshed massacred Helovia, and in the aftermath, the realm was eerily quiet. Now, as newcomers sweep into this land, they are met with the lingering bitterness of the gods and the struggle to reclaim what was lost. Nothing remains safe or certain while sorcerers and soldiers alike brood and bide their time for revenge, honor and glory.

Only the herdlands have a source of light, but lamp-trees with glowing leaves and branches sporadically line the popular roads and paths from place to place.
Doppleganger Plot ☼ - 6/20/13 - The God of Time is still struggling to close the rift though which the dopplegangers have come. He has requested that his brothers and sister assist in closing this hole, but without knowing why it opened, the task is proving difficult. Magic still remains faulty and hard to control, but the herdlands continue to be places of refuge for those who are fortunate enough to call these lands home.
ORANGEMOON cools off the lands with a a viscious force. Colder than normal, a sign of things to come during Frostfall, Helovia is bathed in a rich tropical lushness - albiet a cold one. The coastlines of the Dragon's Throat are pelted constantly by tidal waves, and the desert climate is humid but chilly. Ice begins to form early in the Aurora Basin leaving the winding trails slick and dangerous. The mists of the World's Edge coat everything in a glistening crystalline shine which encourages mould to grow everywhere. The Spectral Marsh is the only area which remains fertile, blissfully temperature and lush.

WEAVER, Corporal of the Aurora Basin, is a relatively recent addition to Helovia and has taken it by storm. Branded with the seal of Death on her chest, intrigue and interest follow both her past and present. Though she is assuredly beautiful, her sometimes sharp personality reveals that there is more to this uni-peg hybrid than meets the eye. Proving herself able on the battlefield in the Basin’s warrior ranks, we can’t wait to see her test her mettle against the looming Kaos happenings! Congratulations!

Beowulf sulked around the empty, deserted Basin. Never before had he felt so... alone; though he didn't really understand these feelings. He knew he felt something, but what it was was well beyond his knowledge. These mixed multitude of feelings were confusing the poor creature. Not understanding why the sudden move to the floating isle, he was not inclined to visit that place again. Despite the fact he'd enjoyed his first time, he did not want to go back, not unless it was covered in snow.
Now because everyone had left, he felt deserted, alone, something he never even dreamed of feeling; not that he even knew what feelings where, they were now becoming more visible to him.
At least he wasn't going to get bored, for those tent poles; he'd dragged here with the Queen and her offspring, now had to be stored away. So with a slight disgruntled expression, the beast gathered the tethers in his mouth and began the hefty work of dragging them into their storage cave.
Muscle's tensed as he pulled with all his might, if only the Time god showed up again. The Beast dreamed.
He gave one more tug on the ropes, finally they shifted, now rolling with more ease, he would soon have them tucked away in storage. In a way he kind of hoped this got him in the 'good books' with the leads. As much as he hated to admit it, The Beast wanted to be idolized in some way. He wanted to do good by his herd, to become something. Not just the hairy beast that wondered the mountains.
Things had taken a rather interesting turn for the young hybrid finding her contemplating whether or not to enjoy it while it lasted. When she had approached the borders of this icy landscape she had half expected to be turned away as quickly as she came. The golden mare that had greeted her had been kind enough not to rip her head from her shoulders so all in all this day wasn't half bad. That spotted creature had been rather opinionated and the brown one had been no better, it was no wonder that they bored her. Their banter of the land of unicorns had been correct but they failed to see that there was much more to this place than what met the eye. Somehow she had been granted membership into such a place even with the appendages that adorned her body. Wouldn't that prove this place was no more racist than the rest of society? Chuckling to herself she couldn't help but think of a hundred reasons why the Basin only accepted those gifted with horns. The modern rather drab version either had nothing but four hooves with or four hooves plus the addition of flight. Somehow in that failed attempt their gods had sadly mutated their species into such creatures, not to mention the lack of intelligence that went along with it.
Tucking her wings tight against her athletic frame she trudged onward through the snow to see what the Basin consisted of. It would have been nice if her greeters had given her that slightest idea as to where she was in relation to the rest of the herd (that of course would be too easy). If she wasn't trying to mind her manners to her new queen she would have bluntly asked for a tour but somehow she found this would be more like a sightseeing attraction to the rest of the herd. Her wings provided such an easy target to invite others to gawk at her or in this case try to tear her to pieces. Though it might be interesting to see someone try...
Flicking her harks as the sound of another echoed towards her she turned her bi-coloured optics to find a rather interesting looking fellow dragging something or trying to. Observing him for a minute longer she finally made her way down the icy slope to see what his deal was. "I think you missed a spot or two when you gave yourself the buzzcut" she mused to herself with amusement. This whole being nice thing was much harder than she had thought... this probationary period was going to be very long. "Well you have a very fascinating job. How'd you get stuck doing this all alone." She commented with a lovely touch of sarcasm. Well this was better than the first couple things that popped into her mind albeit still lame but better than calling him a mule.
