"Where brilliance is good and madness is better..."
Helovia Info
Helovia opened in February 2012! We are an active fantasy equine RPG
Where once the world narrowed into naught but gray dust and desolation, the gods called for life. Wielding the elements of fire and light, dark and wind, earth and water, spark and time, they have created Helovia. The realm is set within the mythical globe of Loorien, a planet rich with all variety of creatures and blessed with all manner of magic. Originally populated by nomadic, tribal characters, they've since grown into massive empires saturated with culture and history. Separated into four distinct segments of Helovia, called "The Regions," each band of horse strong enough and capable enough, took up the power and responsibility of leadership. Unicorns, old, wise and mysterious, took to the north, hidden in forests of mists and shadows and rarely making themselves known beyond their cliffs of the World's Edge. Equines, vast, organized and militaristic, split into two, one group went north to the Windtossed Foothills and the other group went south to the Dragon's Throat. Pegasus remained nomadic, making their homes in various parts of The Wilds in a migratory manner. For many generations, the land was peaceful and calm, but peace was never the way of the gods. With a clash of argument, war and bloodshed massacred Helovia, and in the aftermath, the realm was eerily quiet. Now, as newcomers sweep into this land, they are met with the lingering bitterness of the gods and the struggle to reclaim what was lost. Nothing remains safe or certain while sorcerers and soldiers alike brood and bide their time for revenge, honor and glory.

Doppleganger Plot ☼ - 6/20/13 - The God of Time is still struggling to close the rift though which the dopplegangers have come. He has requested that his brothers and sister assist in closing this hole, but without knowing why it opened, the task is proving difficult. Magic still remains faulty and hard to control, but the herdlands continue to be places of refuge for those who are fortunate enough to call these lands home.
ORANGEMOON cools off the lands with a a viscious force. Colder than normal, a sign of things to come during Frostfall, Helovia is bathed in a rich tropical lushness - albiet a cold one. The coastlines of the Dragon's Throat are pelted constantly by tidal waves, and the desert climate is humid but chilly. Ice begins to form early in the Aurora Basin leaving the winding trails slick and dangerous. The mists of the World's Edge coat everything in a glistening crystalline shine which encourages mould to grow everywhere. The Spectral Marsh is the only area which remains fertile, blissfully temperature and lush.

Character of the Month for
June, 2017
WEAVER, Corporal of the Aurora Basin, is a relatively recent addition to Helovia and has taken it by storm. Branded with the seal of Death on her chest, intrigue and interest follow both her past and present. Though she is assuredly beautiful, her sometimes sharp personality reveals that there is more to this uni-peg hybrid than meets the eye. Proving herself able on the battlefield in the Basin’s warrior ranks, we can’t wait to see her test her mettle against the looming Kaos happenings! Congratulations!

Ki’irha
We used to look up and wonder at our place in the stars.
Morning was upon the Heavenly Fields.
Beneath a gnarled tree, the midnight mare huffed softly in her sleep. Her legs were folded neatly beneath her, and her elegant leonine tail coiled loosely around one exposed hind leg. She had traveled the evening before to this place, deciding the winding and arduous trail that had led her here would make for good exercise. Upon reaching the meadow, previously hidden in the heavy cloak of night, she had found a sort if safety beneath the tree to pass the evening.
The sun had broken over the horizon, casting soft golden rays across the field. As the light crept over the blue mare, warm like an embrace, her silver eyes fluttered open. She let out a quiet yawn, and heaved herself from the cool ground. She stretched, her pointed cloven ties digging into the hard earth. As she blinked the sleep from her eyes, she took in the beautiful landscape. Despite the warm kiss of the morning sun, Frostfall had still left it's mark on the meadow. Long blades of grass were tipped in frost, and the air smelled crisp and fresh. The mare shook herself off, a wave of white curls splashing over the nape of her thin neck. She stepped forward, dipping her head down, and grazed on the sweet grass.
The young mare always felt a slight emptiness, but never could pinpoint its source. She was unaware that it was loneliness. Ki's parents had loved each other, despite all differences. She grew up watching a lovely mated-til-death pair, and had developed a subconscious want for closeness. The once lanky filly, whose mane had started as a wild unruly tuft, who was always filthy and covered in scratches and scuffs, had turned into quite the mare. Beautiful wasn't a word she would use to describe herself, but it wouldn't be a lie. Someday she may be the coveted jewel of a stallion, but for now, she ate her breakfast alone, enjoying nothing but the company of waking birds and the wonderful sun.

OOC// She's not looking for anything serious, just a flirty kinda thang for now. Or at least a handsome stallion friend. And I want to explore this side of her character for a bit.

Now we just look down and worry about our place in the dirt.
Miseal had grown much too accustom to the thought of moving, his homes now encompassed many islands, many places, many herds, many Misael's. He had begun to think that perhaps there was no home for him, that he was gypsy and was born for leaving. He didn't have a real home, or a real identity, who he wanted to become, who he wanted to be always pestered his thoughts in the silence of a day like this one. Silence was an unwelcome man, his presence always brought dread and questioning along beside his shallow ways.
The colorful creature had been traveling his new "home" for a while, his desire for exploration never drifting away from his list of things to do. Misael had decided to climb a mountain, heights always left him breathless and he loved the thrill of it all. Step after step, the monster dug a golden hoof into rocky soil and thrusted himself forward. His view was clouded, but that did not stop him from continuing on with the hope that something rewarding laid amongst the tips of the treacherous tops.
A beautiful rosy pink dawn revealed itself as Misael made it through the last of the thick fog that had encompassed him previously. He saw the twinkling of night's stars as Apollo rode his chariot across the sky to lasso the depths of the sun and replace the white moon. Upon scanning the quiet and serene setting, his golden orbs fell on a true beauty, a reward indeed. He watched from his perch in the thinning fog, as the fae's breath rose softly in hushed huffs, her body was painted like a sky, as if the galaxy melted upon her frame. It was a certain untouched beauty to this sight, the mare he had yet to know looked so innocent and pure, as if she deserved the best in the world. He could offer anything but.
Feeling that this hawk-like watching was strange and creep-like, Misael exited his cave of cover, his two toned mane cascading in the soft sunlight of the early morning. "Hope I'm not interrupting anything." He said with a sly smile, he didn't really care if he was interrupting anything, he desired to talk to this women of silver mane and eyes, and he'd be damned if he didn't. Misael dipped his horned head, "I am Misael, what might the name of such beauty be?" He asked with cock of a romanized face.

We used to look up and wonder at our place in the stars.
The warrior girl chewed her breakfast slowly, enjoying the chill of the frost. The spreading of dawn across the sky cast warmth on her coat, and the golden rays rippled sapphire undertones across her body. She loved the way the morning stained the sky, waking the earth and most of its creatures. The pinks and golds contrasted with her coat, and though the star studded mare enjoyed the cover night provided, there was something about the dawn that made her feel at peace.
Ki'irha's ear flicked to the side, and the soft sound of another walking towards her made her head snap up. Swallowing her last bite, her stormy eyes scanned the landscape, looking for a figure that was cloaked in the gathering mist. A dark form became more visible through the fog, and she took a step back, adapting a defensive stance. The looming shadow finally came close enough that she could define the form as a hulking unicorn. She had never seen such a fantastic span of colors in one coat. His crown of horns was remarkable, and though she was wary of the new stranger, she couldn't ignore how handsome he was. She locked her silver eyes with his gold.
"You're not interrupting anything important,"she replied. Her voice was gentle and soft, spun from silk and honey. A butterfly fluttered in her ribcage. She had never felt such a strong attraction before, even just physically. But, he had to ruin it. She raised an eyebrow, incredulous, and a short laugh slipped from her lips. She had met stallions before who knew they were sexy beasts, but that just ruined the appeal. Though he was handsome, and looked strong, and my goodness those eyes, she was anything but a simple dame who would be won with a single complement. She stepped daintily forward, almost touching the stag. She lowered her head, seductive eyes looking up into his. “My name is Ki'irha, and it is a pleasure to meet you. But, unfortunately, darling-” She leaned in, nearly brushing her cheek to his, her soft lips near his ear, a kiss of warmth bleeding from her into him, "-you'll have to try a little harder than that."
With that, she turned, walking away towards a small brook that was babbling a couple of paces past the tree. She hoped she hadn't ruined whatever this was by playing hard to get, but she wanted to see if he would work for it. She cast a look back to see if he would follow, see what would come of this. She dipped her head down, sipping at the water, an ear turned to listen for any sort of pursuit.

Now we just look down and worry about our place in the dirt.
Misael felt the mare's stare, her silver metallic orbs trying to seep deep into his own. A trick that he knew to well. Her first words were sweet and almost too for the devil inside. He liked his women that came along with a package of deviousness, he liked his women sly. Misael wasn't uninterested just yet, for such a rare gem in this land of plain colors couldn't be forgotten. Then he heard her laugh, a short curt laugh, one that he was unfamiliar too but knew what it meant. This one wanted to be chased, and Misael was not unhappy about that.
Ki'irha's next move was dangerously intoxicating. He watched as those gorgeous eyes turned dark and into everything he liked about pretty mares. He was wrong about her, and she had quickly turned the creature with two mighty ibex horns; on. He could feel the heat of her breath diffuse across his face as she whispered into his ears, his skin crawling with the feeling. He wanted to see what this mare offered, because from what he'd witnessed, he knew that she'd be worth every second of his time. And,
He wanted more.
"Who says I was trying?" He said from behind her. His pursuit clearly betraying his words. Misael quickly trotted to his new interest, the brute's knee's reaching high into the air in a beautiful flowing waltz(he could thank his Spanish ancestors for that.) As she settled to lap up the clear liquid upon the tops of the grassy mountains, Misael dragged his muzzle across her flank until he reached her ear, letting the soft and tantalizing method of seduction tease the starry night mare. "Oh and by the way, you shouldn't underestimate me." The painted parasite whispered, his chords beautifully charming and low.
