If you attend no other meetings, ATTEND THIS ONE. We'll be doing promotions, and starting our herd quest. Tagging @Zekle and @Ultima Was it still praying, when you personally knew who it was you were praying to? The question was ill-formed in Isopia's mind, and she didn't quite know how to answer it. On the one hand, her silent thoughts were directed towards her Father in a very prayer-like manner (that was, silently and mentally), but because of their relationship, it was hard for the earthen girl to truly give her Father the divine-deity status that many others did. He was her Father before he was the God of the Earth, and praying to a parent seemed strange. But she did it anyways. She had taken his words to heart, knowing that the success of the Falls was secured if only she could follow his instructions. He had said they needed to grow the lands, and grow each other. For too long the Falls had been stagnant, wallowing away in the still-waters of complacency. But no longer. And so Isopia had sent these prayers to her Father, that he might show her who it was who would aid them in these tasks. Show me the healers who can tend to our lands and our herd. Show me the one who will fill my now vacant role as Storyteller. Bring me another Mason... She wasn't sure if this was how it worked, but she did know that that magic that came with these ranks stemmed directly from her Father. Surely he must have some say in it? And so she delved into her own mind, listening for whatever inklings of assistance her Father might have. And there was Archibald. He had a few ideas too. After having returned from the Woods with Zero at her side (he was no longer truly a trespasser, given her new rank), she decided it was time. But ... how was this supposed to work? With a daunted stare, the demi-goddess directed herself and her friend to where the Earth God had appeared last time. Though she didn't have the power to send a rippling message through the trees. How could she make them come to her? With a golden glance towards Hubris, the bronzey dragon fled into the trees, gathering all those that he could find. Isopia also used her water and earth magic to create dragons composed of each, who flew high above the trees to act as a signal. Looking at Zero with a deep and uncomfortable glance, Isopia did what she hated most. She tried to call everyone to her. "HIDDEN FALLS. THIS IS A HERD MEETING. YOUR PRESENCE IS REQUIRED." She wanted to say more - about how she had things to say to them, but as shouting wasn't her strong suit, she decided to leave it at that. She wasn't sure how far her voice would carry anyways. Recalling her displeasure at being summoned to herd meetings, the demi-goddess decided simply to get straight to the point. "As many of you know, the Earth God has charged us all with aiding in the growth of the Hidden Falls. We must cease being complacent, treating these woods and valleys as a place to exist. If we wish for our home to grow, then we must grow ourselves. Over the past few days, I have prayed to my Father for answers and guidance. And in council with Archibald, we have decided to name those who shall receive magic from my Father, the lord of our lands, to help them better serve us. Our choices may seem unconventional, but there are many ways to ensure the proper growth of a sapling, and many hidden talents to be found within our borders. " A pause. How was she doing? She didn't know - though tried not to let her inexperience show. Her voice was as academic and sterile as always, though her gaze was perhaps more buoyant than normal, seeking out the gaze of those who had assembled. "We call on Syrena to replace me as Storyteller of these lands." Though she had had words with the mare previously, her efficacy as a candidate was unquestionable. "Cora and Brendan shall take up the ranks as Earth Medics... and another, a healer from the Edge." The demi-goddess's golden stare sought out the four-winged mare from those assembled. "Ultima. New to us, she is skilled as a healer, and we thank the Earth God and his guidance for bringing her to us." The demigoddess tried to offer a reassuring smile to the mare, which sat awkwardly on her death-marked features. "Under the guidance of these three we name Adria as their apprentice." Another pause. A breath. "Ranjiri has long been our mason, but we need another to aid her in her work." Isopia's golden stare now, for the first time, tried to find the sunbeam eyes of her friend. She had intentionally not run any of this by him, thinking that in the moment, she would simply think of something to say. He was the most skilled stone-worker she had ever seen, and ... and... Well, and she wanted him to be here. If he would. But even between childhood best friends, such words were hard for Isopia to articulate. "Zero, your gifts with stone are unmatched. Would you take the magic offered by my Father, and remain here, as our mason?" Leave your siblings, your Ma, and come here. Come here for me. "Macaria and Guinevere will serve as architects." She finished, before swallowing the lump in her throat to continue. "Our sleuth, as many of you will have noticed-" (she certainly had) "-rarely attends our gatherings, as he has been set to gather as much information about the goings-on of Helovia as possible. As such, a slueth who can remain slighter closer to home is needed. Lotherarius - would you take up this mantle? With Hertz to aid you as a marauder?" In typical Isopia fashion, these promotions were phrased not as choices, but as already decided. Her Father had said to grow the Falls, and that was what she would do. Yet ... In her mind, Hubris gently encouraged her to perhaps .. soften this first attempt at leadership. Despite the benefits of being a dictator, many did not like to feel as though they are ruled by one. And so, Isopia took her first stumbling steps towards diplomacy. "What say you all? Brendan, Cora, and Ultima? Will you accept this magic? Will you take up the title of Earth Medics?" Her gaze moved to Syrena. "And you, Syrena. We spoke before of meaningful work ... will you accept the role of Storyteller?" Finally, to Zero. His name caught in her throat, golden eyes pleading for him to accept, unable to speak. "Lotherarius?" tl;dr, Iso is an awkward leader + how do people actually call herd meetings. Promotions. see, the life I’ve had can make a good man bad.
A voice called out in the distance and the feathered brute heard. Oh boy did he hear. It was loud and familiar, giving a shiver down his spine as he heard it. The Mountain that Knows... He had yet to know her name, but the fae that he had witnessed Hertz submitting to her to become part of the herd was the one that was calling him and he felt the urge to both turn tail and run and follow the voice. The distance was not long, the terraria cool as he stepped over rocks and soggy grass, before seeing the figure in the distance. The dame's skull markings that adorned her face were again beautiful and unnerving. But her red cape swung ever so slightly in his unaccustomed vision, growing more into focus as he came closer. And with that he was part of the meeting, the first in the Hidden Falls to his knowledge. His travels had led him astray, and for this he was not aware that he actually missed any. His ignorance was bliss when his paranoia reared its ugly head. But then as he filed in to the meeting, he felt suddenly so aware that he was letting himself in for a large crowd. Who would be lurking? He did not know many in the herd, if all of them were in the herd at all. In spite of these fears, the brute continued, tapping his daggers across the way as he got closer to the centre of the area. And thus, she began, speak of many things Lotherarius was unsure of right now. But one thing in particular that made his lobes prick was the mention of this mysterious lady's father, the one that gave magic to members of the herd. Who was her father? The Earth God?! His surprise could not be hidden from his handsome face, it etched in like he had eaten a bee. But that facial expression came into play once more through the speech, as she spoke of promotions: Syrena to Storyteller, new medics, Ultima, the four winged beauty he had met once before very briefly was the healer (he would be getting injured a lot more now, he thought cheekily), and it carried on. The endless list of new recruits being thrown into the purpose of making the Falls great. And then his name was uttered. The Illusor was being asked to become sleuth to the herd. "Would you take up this mantle?" The words rang in his lobes as the shock beat through his broad chest, his skull a picture of horror, pride and surprise. With a slight stutter, the poor paranoid brute spoke, "I am fresh to the Falls, but it would be an honour, Mountain that Knows," he blushed with embarrassment as he realised that he had spoken "her" name, yet not knowing what her actual name was. Who was she? Queen? " . " Lotherarius _____________________________________ Lotherarius accepts. Mentioned: @Ultima @Isopia Please tag me

TOMMEN there are no men like me *tommen has not yet lost his leg "HIDDEN FALLS. THIS IS A HERD MEETING. YOUR PRESENCE IS REQUIRED."
Seven bloody hells. Tommen groaned. He'd somehow forgotten what it was like to actually be a part of a herd, to be at the command of another leader. For a moment, he considered just walking away now. It's not like I'm an actual part of this herd. He could leave, not say goodbye to even the herd's leader. Just disappear without a trace. He'd done it before, after all. But he owed the herd's leader at least the respect of a farewell. Herd's leader. What did they call her? Czarina? Indeed, it had turned out that his red-caped acquaintance was all the royal she appeared to be; the woman had now mounted an outcropping to interrupt Tommen's sleep with her call to action. From where he lay, he tried to catch her eye and level her with his best, unimpressed glare, but his view of her was soon blocked out by the gathering masses of the herd members. Blinking sleepily, he got to his feet, figuring he might as well see what the fuss was about. It was the least he could do, since the Czarina had let him remain in her lands. He made his way to the main gathering, weaving between the melee of equines that constituted the Hidden Falls herd. It was a small group, though they were diverse; his eyes were caught by certain individuals, including a powerful orange stallion just a bit shorter then he, a woman with stripes like morning sky, and a fierce black unicorn woman. Is there no consistency with these guys? He wondered. Back at home, everyone was a simple shade of brown or grey. His family had all been unicorns; in fact, most people were. It was why he'd stood out, making him a desirable and intriguing catch for the women of the court. Not that he'd minded. Quite the opposite, really. Breaking himself out of the past again, he lifted his head above the crowd to listen to the the Czarina speak her announcements across the herd. His attention was quickly lost. Blah blah blah, motivational speech, blah blah introductions. He lowered his eyelids with disinterest, slightly disappointed by the commonality of the Czarina's speech. Still, he paid half the attention; she introduced quite a few newcomers, but did not mention his name. Though he hadn't expected to be called out, he had been hoping for it. He'd accepted to be a warrior for the length of his stay; surely that meant something. He was about to turn and leave the gathering place when another's words caught his attention; words that brought a smile to his face. "And I would like to spar with anyone interested in becoming Champion." He turned, lifting his head towards the new speaker. He steadily held the blood-red gaze of a dark-pelted unicorn. "Champion?" He spoke up, feeling a telltale smirk shape his lips. She wanted to spar. Suddenly, he no longer felt the urge to leave these lands as he had planned. Maybe he could be convinced to stay...especially if he got to fight again. A knight. You could be a knight again. It was a foolish hope, and perhaps a dangerous one, but for now he did not care. "Then I issue a challenge, m'lady; I will spar with you, unless you're afraid that a newcomer would kick your ass." issues a challenge to @Ktulu please tag tommen.

Syrena
let the water take me
She likes the dragon more than Isopia. He tries. Not that she blames Isopia for not trying, because Syrena doesn’t really try. Not when it comes to being polite or learning small talk or whatever. Though still, Syrena tries harder than the Mountain. Their new Czarina stares and blinks a lot, as far as the seal-gray mare can tell. So she’s at least slightly pleased when it’s the dragon that summons her (though she’s pretty sure she hears Isopia bellowing not too far away as well). She’d stuck around after the God of Earth had visited. A new leader meant (hopefully, if they were doing their jobs) a herd meeting. And lo and behold, she was right. And perhaps a bit pleased to find that someone was actually doing something. She may not actually know what to do with Isopia (they really just are too alike to talk to one another very well), but that doesn’t necessarily mean she dislikes the mare. She just assumes their Czarina dislikes her. Either way though, she seemed like a decent enough choice for their new leader, and at least, someone was actually bothering to call a meeting. She comes, even though she hates meetings. Staying in a herd was always a bit of a chore for her. Yes, as whole she liked it here and yes, as a whole she didn’t mind working this place. It was just that when the horses here did gather, there were so very many of them and they were far too close to her. No one respected personal space. She’d gotten pretty good at keeping to the back of meeting though, somewhere just far enough away that she didn’t look like she was trying to be rude, but no one was likely to actually come near her or touch her. Like Tuppance. That was still not okay. When their rather small herd (still too many in one place for Syrena) has gathered, Isopia gets to the point, something Syrena does appreciate. Not that the beginning of this speech is news to Syrena. She’d really like to point out that she spent all Tallsun here or in the Threshold, being not complacent to the extent she could figure out how. But it was pretty hard when next to no one else was around. She keeps her mouth shut though, because now was hardly the time. There’s a pause, and when the first name is her own, it takes her a minute to realize she’s being spoken to directly. Seriously? They’d noticed her, even after that awful little meeting between Isopia and herself? If you’re fine with doing meaningless work…” Yea yea. She remembers that conversation all too damn well. But somehow, despite that, she is now being asked to take on the role of Storyteller. Wait, seriously? Because she doesn’t have the ability to pinch herself and make sure this isn’t just a dream. Cause it can’t be real. But apparently it is. Others are named to various ranks, and she tries to listen to the names but one, she doesn’t care that much even though she should, and two, she’s still a little dumbstruck. “I accept,” she says, after what’s probably been too long, but has thankfully been filled by various other acceptances from horses with names she should seriously try to remember. What she actually wants is to sideline Isopia and learn everything. That might require apologizing, or something, which she doesn’t know how to do and maybe the Mountain the Knows won’t expect it anyway. "Perhaps we can talk when you have a moment? I'm sure you have much to teach me," she adds, trying very hard to be nice. This was her chance. She knows that, and she’ll do what it takes. Even if that means figuring out how to have a real conversation. She tries to turn her attention back to everything going on around her, catching some of the mention of Champion and a snarky reply from a stallion she’s never seen before. Newcomer, he says, so at least she’s not just behind. Because there are other’s she hasn’t seen before, and they seem to be less new. And also that stallion from the ocean – oh, poor soul, she’d been even less sociable then. His name….Loratherious…Lotherarius. Yea. That one. Probably. Close enough. Try, Syrena. You actually have to now. "words" She'll go with crafting magic for her rank magic :) I can add that IC somewhere too when it fits - she has no idea what she's doing currently, haha darya87 | larfsalot on deviantart Please tag in all posts Magic use/power playing is okay, but check before serious injury/death Image by Reli

The meeting is just beginning when the little lightning girl appears at the fringe, looking over the few who have gathered to listen to their new Czarina speak. Her mouth twists into a frown that could be easily confused for a scoff, for she is disappointed in the numbers (or lack thereof) that she sees before her. One of them isn't even of their herd, or so she assumes - there is a hint of something vaguely familiar, something like heat and sand and palm that wafts through the air around her from the one-winged steed. It takes the girl a moment to place the scent, and then she realizes: that is the smell that her mother wore, the last time Aleta saw her. It is the smell of the Dragon's Throat. It is not of them. Her frown twitches; the girl's head cocks slightly to one side in confusion. It is not like the girl to hold such a grudge, but she cannot help but view things of the desert with disdain since her mother's betrayal. She recognizes that her emotions are irrational, and vows to dismiss them from her mind, for it is not this stallion's fault that he reminds her of a home and a family that she will never have. Besides, if their new leader has invited him, then surely his presence will only help their dwindling herd? The girl still has faith in authority, still places her trust in those meant to protect her. If Isopia is their Czarina, then she is to be respected, for she owes their herd everything she can give it and more. These are the lessons that the girl has gleaned from Kaj. Despite the fact that he is no longer a leader here, she remembers the time that he was and the importance with which he viewed every task he began. It is inspiring, and part of the reason why the girl loves her father so. She is disappointed that she does not immediately see the golden stallion, and shrinks ever-so-slightly in on herself without someone to hide behind. She is, after all, but a child - and she has no place at this gathering, not really. For now, she will stand in silence, absorbing the lessons that the meeting has to offer. "Talk." pixel by Reli <3 Please tag Aleta in all replies. Use of force and/or magic (with the exception of death) is allowed at all times. Want to plot with Aleta? Visit her plot page here!

The ivory man shifted in the makeshift bed he had made. Antaa chirped quietly in his ear, catching his attention to the call that drifted across the Falls. Darwin simply grumbled to his companion, eyes flickering open before rolling at the excited bird. His companion was far too excited for these kinds of events, and it mildly annoyed the man as she would be persistent and nagging to make sure he did most of the things she wanted. Perhaps it made him a better person, doing what the little bird asked. “Come, come, we go.” She insisted, pushing past the simple chirping for the simplistic child-like sentences. “Fine.” Darwin assured her, pushing his legs out and stretching before standing to heed to the call. It hadn’t taken them long to find those already gathered. His gaze swiveled around to spot any familiarities, but a sigh passed his lips as no one seemed to capture his attention. The thing that did distract the man, was the fact that his brothers weren’t to be found. His brows furrowed but he made his way further into the group, his barred wings pressed tightly to his sides as he settled beside a unicorn woman and an equine stallion. His head lowered and he nodded to his new Czarina as Antaa settled along his spine, nestling herself in the crook of his wings where his feathers made a comfortable nest. As Isopia began to speak, to talk of promotions. His attention grew as she continued on. Ears perked as his lead spoke of sleuths and about how Knox wasn’t around. It was a shame, the lad would’ve loved to see his long lost brother once again. However, when the Mountain That Knows had finished speaking, his river stone gaze drifted to the woman beside him as she chirped up. She spoke of warriors, and immediately the man’s interest was piqued. He allowed her to finish, then went to open his bearded maw to speak – only to be cut off by darkened unicorn, offering to challenge the woman beside him to become a champion. It took all the self-control that the ivory Pegasus had to refrain from rolling his eyes once again. “Ask.” His phoenix spoke through his bond. He mentally nodded to her, before letting his gaze settle on Ktulu. “My name’s Darwin, and I’d like to join the warrior ranks as well.” He shifted, offering the mare a small smile. “Feel free to place me wherever is needed, just so long as I know what to do.” Darwin added in, pulling his wings in tighter for his companion. "Talk." It’s like marrow without bone, to live in a house with no home. HERTZ I'll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies Dark rimmed ears flicked forward as I listened to the call of the mountainous mare who had welcomed me into the lands of the Falls as a member rather than a prisoner. Lids pulled away from baby blues as I mulled over the idea of what would happen if I just decided to keep napping instead of going to the herd meeting that was being called. Surely I could get away with mumbling something about sleeping too hard and not hearing the calling? Just as I was beginning to close my eyes once again, drifting slowly back to the surreal land of sleep, a couple other members of the Falls wandered past me and I knew that faking my way out of showing up to the meeting was no longer an option. Turned out my napping tree was closer to the clearing in which we met than I had originally thought or hoped.
My weight shifted, pushing my cobalt frame away from the rough bark of the tree I had been leaning against. A sigh slid from ink stained lips as I slowly began moving forward, moving with the trickling crowd towards the clearing where I could hear the large mare, the Mountain that Knows, speaking to those who had already gathered. I broke through the tree line, finding myself standing beside a yellow, tan, and white painted filly with a scowl across her dainty features enough to make even the strongest of warriors wonder who it was in this crowd that the small child carried so much disdain for. Before I could speak up and ask the pale bird who is was that had wronged her so, the rest of the herd decided it was time to speak up. Those thanking the Czarina for their new found ranks, and those asking the head of their class for a position beneath them, baby blues shifted to the tiger striped stallion who had just been promoted to the top of the spy tier, my place just beneath him. A mental note was made to find my once captor once the meeting was concluded and figure out what our next step was from here. But for now, I would stand back and watch the mass of bodies milling about, realizing why they felt the need to capture members rather than wait on them to join willingly. It was a softness that brought here there – a strange color in the wind, a particular whirl of Orangemoon leaves that caught hold of her child’s heart and carried it up, up and away— Away, skipping across the lake like a stone; away over the proud Edge trees, part-bowed with harsh wind but far from broken; away across the meadow where the late flowers pressed through the thick, tarrish mud of autumn— (The girl wouldn’t remember how she arrived there, later, in the House of the Mountain and All She Knows. It was like a dream, the first in a year that she did not regret, though she far from understood its meaning.) And still the earth ushered her along. The Mountain she saw first, as one does. Tall. Taller. (And sharp, in a way, though perhaps not intentionally so.) Emerging from the treeline, Ultima could not help the stuttered stop, the intake of breath – it was like the first time she saw the sea, something magnificent and vast with no need for pretense. They simply were. Even as more and more people swirled into the clearing, chirping faintly like birds, the girl felt rooted to the congregation’s fringes like a stray, quaking aspen. But when the Mountain spoke, clear and grounded, the girl’s ears pricked forward, transfixed. “As many of you know, the Earth God has charged us all with aiding in the growth of the Hidden Falls.” Hidden Falls. “Oh—” Earth God. “Goodness—” Demi-goddess. “I—” Princess, it appears you’ve found yourself in the wrong castle. Whatever sixth-sense had brought her here, blindfolded, laughing with her hands stretched out, it fell like a curtain and then flew in her face. The smell of the earth, the slant of the trees, even the ambient noise lurking behind the Mountain’s voice – even the Mountain herself. For what felt like seven centuries but was hardly seven seconds, she stood very still, her bright gold eyes uncertain. A stallion with a kind smile sidled up to her and she glanced at him, smiling briefly, her eyes eventually sliding back to the mare standing at the podium. Be an earth thing? But she wasn’t even a Moon thing. In spite of the warmth she felt at the Edge, the Ultima-shaped spaces she had taken in the lives of the herd-members, she was still an altogether different thing from Tilney, Maude, Tembovu and Alysanne; it was like a sheet of glass between them, cold against her shoulder if she tried too hard to be close. But they hadn’t called for an Earth thing or a Moon thing – they had called for a healer for the meager crop of family that gathered her today, and the call had latched onto her, whatever the girl was. She did not believe in coincidence. Seasons ago she’d been called to Tilney and the ocean. A year ago she’d been called to the desert glass and the crocodile who broke her heart. And now she was here, on the breeze of an autumn-time lullaby. Here, where she’d been sung. Here, where she’d been summoned. The earth was dry and clean-swept, smelling slightly of char. The faces all around her betrayed some tension, but also an idle, persistent, hope. In the ground, new things (was she a new thing? could she be a new thing?) were reaching for the light. And if there was anything Tilney had taught her, it was love of earth and all that grew from it, and a sense of appreciation for the small, fierce steps the living took towards the sun: tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow. “Will you accept this magic? Will you take up the title of Earth Medics?” There really is no such thing as coincidence, she thought, her heart still quaking in her narrow chest, apprehension written across her delicate features. But Ultima, Dearest, Fairest, frightened but not lost, returned the Mountain’s smile at last. “—Yes.” This must be the place. “I will.” a tattoo of a flower on her broken wrist so long-winded but tl;dr she smiles at @cowboy and @isopia before accepting

Ranjiri { "Grief never ends, but it changes. Its a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith. It is the price of love." The last place I wanted to be was at a herd meeting and the last thing I wanted to do was swallow my grief down and hide it away so no one else would see. I wanted to be left alone to mourn the furture that was taken away from me. I wanted to mourn over the fact that my child would never know her father. All I wanted to do was wallow in my own self pity for a while and beat myself up because I hadn't told Rhoa that I was pregnant before he died and I because I hadn't been there in Gaucho's final moments. BUt I couldn't. Instead I was stuck at a herd meeting, listening to Isopia as she promoted horses into ranks that had been vacant. Some of them I recognized, like Zero, others I had no clue who they were, like the cocky stallion that challenged my mother to battle for a spot as Champion.I know I could have offered congratulations to those that were promoted and I could have done a little bit more than smile half-heartedly at Zero, but I didn't. I just stood at the very outskirts by myself and waited for everything to be over. It struck me as I stood there, that I'd never felt so alone in the presence of so many others before. It didn't matter that the rest of the herd was there, and it didn't matter that my family was intermingled within their numbers. I wondered if they would even notice if I slipped away and didn't stay for the rest of the meeting. It didn't take my long to decide that my presence wouldn't be missed, so I turned and walked away. BRENDAN HARDSHIP OFTEN PREPARES AN ORDINARY PERSON FOR AN EXTRAORDINARY DESTINY "HIDDEN FALLS. THIS IS A HERD MEETING. YOUR PRESENCE IS REQUIRED." The call is lost on my ears, but not lost on those of my little sister of sorts. Arwen leaps to her paws, and my baby blues look to her in concern. A bit of acid drips from her jaws. I snort softly. I swear by the time she gains control of her ability I will end up with some sort of scars from burns. I was about to settle back down when Hubris zooms into sight. I understand now. There must be something going on that our new Czarina needs us all for. I stand, shaking off my still growing form. I am two, but still seem to be filling out into my full height and size. A horn has even begun to grow from my brow, which makes me wonder about my We move casually across. After all, we are surely not the last to arrive. I am right, as a few more filter in behind us. I stop near a dark colored Pegasus with golden markings. Her belly is rounded, clearly carrying a child. That's when the announcements began. First comes the new Storyteller, and I give a nod and smile to the mare who has been chosen. What I do not expect, is that when the Earth Medics are announced next.. My name is among them. Me, an Earth Medic? A healer? This has to be a joke. Not that I am ungrateful for the position, just struggling to understand why I have been named among them. The promotions continue, but in my shock I notice the way the pregnant mare moves. Arwen keeps an eye on her, as my attention is called again. "What say you all? Brendan, Cora, and Ultima? Will you accept this magic? Will you take up the title of Earth Medics?" The other two, Cora and Ultima have already answered. I take it as my turn, suddenly feeling very shy at the idea of being the only male to work with the two ladies. "I would be honored to serve my home." My voice has become deeper, and was starting to sound like my Father's voice. It to startled me. It's then Arwen alerts me with a few short yips about the mare's departure. I glance to the other two Medic's, making note of their faces with the intent to seek them out later. "Hey! Wait up!" I call after her. "Talk" Tagging @Ultima @Persephone and @Ranjiri for mentions

Scaled ears perked from their listless splay, unblinking but lackluster gaze turning skyward as the glint of scales instinctively brought her face-fins flaring in warning. The sea mare recognized the bronze-scaled dragon—it belong to Isopia, the new leader of the Falls. The God of the Earth had appeared to better his herd. But he had ignored her pleas, as all the gods had, the day she had needed them. So there was little loyalty or allegiance in the fierce seahorse. Though some of her ferocity had crumbled beneath the weight of despair. Her gaze was not quite at sharp, her shoulders not quite as proud. But she was a warrior to her core, and it went against her grain to ignore the beckon of a superior. So, with a terse snort and strike of her forelimb in the shallow, freshwater she stood, her scaled and striped body turned and walked towards the source of the call. Her arrival was later than others, courtesy of her reluctance to follow the wings of a dragon. But, still, she was there, present at the outskirts of those gathered. Her unblinking, yellow-and-aqua eyes darted towards the many pairs of wings (an orange man, a single-winged youth, a lightning marked filly, a crackling dark colt, a woman with two wing sets, a woman with neatly folded golden feathers, and Darwin). Unease crawled through her, removed the slackness from her body and replacing it with tension. She stared at Darwin for a few moments, recalling how the man, despite his wings, had been nearly friendly to her on the beach. But, amid so many feathers, the woman opted to stand alongside Syrena. She was silent, still, and rigid. Though she made eye contact as a greeting to the seal coated woman. Her ears twitched as Isopia named her Storyteller of the Falls. An honor, and the seahorse watched the woman for her reaction. More were named and given ranks, though the mare found herself searching for Kahelo—where was he? She had not seen him in quite some time. She remained silent, unblinking, watching, and waiting for a dismissal from this meeting. Her tail twitched once, sending a quiet buzz from her barbs into the air.
The sea is hell and I am its fury. Aquila shows up, looks at @Darwin and stands next to @Syrena being moody & surly.

Aquila
Even more winged ones appeared, certainly not improving the seaborne’s wary and irritated mood. The woman would rather face ŝarkotes than be surrounded by these winged predators that continued to multiply during the meeting. Even the Carinaj boasted feather appendages, tucked neatly alongside scarlet cape. Unblinking, teal eyes stare at the cloak as she spoke to ‘the Constrictor’ — a thankfully wingless and fierce looking unicorn. Overlarge eyes linger on the dark, gold-marked woman and her bear for a few moments, ears swiveling forward in thought, even as Carinaj Isopia spoke to all the herd. Though the seahorse still heard her words, and the meaning beneath them. The God of the Earth—a dio who had murdered the tyrant Vjanta, but also ignored her pleas— wished for them to grow and protect the Falls. Perhaps…perhaps if the warrior gave her skills of protection to the Falls…would that bend the God’s ram-horned head in her direction? Would it quirk his ear and make him heed her pleas for Akvo? A tell-tale buzzing filled the air as her barbs rattled while her tail thrashed with thought. She wasn’t sure what her superiors in Akvo would say of this. She wasn’t certain what her father would say of this. She wasn’t certain that she’d ever know, either, as they and all their opinions were trapped in a Rift with dimensions of time and space between them. And so, stepping forward after the demo-goddess called for the very God that Aquila did not trust, her throaty voice called to the Fall’s new Czarina, “I will protect this herd with the knowledge provided to me by the Akvian people, Carinaj,” There was her allegiance, professed before all those winged, horned, and not. And then she fell silent, looking to see if the Earth God would heed his daughter’s calls. ŝarkotes = giant sharks Carinaj = female czar/tsar dio = god
