The girl had been hiding in whatever dark crevice she liked to call home. Social contact had fallen under mundane and dull category in her mind. So few were worth her time these days. Teenage hormones were turning her into quite the young woman. She isn’t entirely sure what drew her out of her hidey hole, most likely boredom as the spider did get bored so every easily. The child had occupied the hot springs for a brief time before resuming her wandering and prancing about the cold mountains that had become her home.

The small teen carried herself with what she believed was wicked grace and beauty. Her head was held high as droplets of steaming water fell from her body. A familiar scent wafted in the air and a rare smile attempted to break out over her somber face. Kisaki.

The child practically galloped to the mare’s cave and she stopped at the entrance when she saw a stallion and another creature in the cave. Without waiting for an invitation she walked in beside the stallion. She looked him over briefly and snorted before looking at the small babe before her. Her eyes shifted from the babe to Illynx over and over and they closed in on the child. Newborns were hideous. They were ugly as sin really she decided. This was good knowledge in preparation for her own children(if she were ever to carry any of course, only a select few were worthy of her womb).

The spider gave the babe a small smile, it disguised her true thoughts. She surely hope Illynx’s babe wouldn’t remain this hideous. She took a short glance at the father to ensure that he too wasn’t ugly, at least if he was Jorogumo would know who to blame.
“He is a lovely boy Kisaki,” Jorogumo said nodding her head slowly. “Keep him close for this world is wicked and enjoys devouring children.” Her smile faded and there was a serious expression upon her face. The spider knew full well of her robbed innocence. She knew full well that life had been especially cruel to her. One event after another had lured her deep into the darkness that had lurked in the recesses of her mind. “Ouji, you’ll have a spider nearby just like you’ll have a mother… And spider’s are a most dangerous predator when their crossed.” She whispered to the child. Her gaze flickered up the golden queen with a stony expression all warmth fading from her face. “Don’t abandoned him.” Her head turned toward Ulrik, her expression darkening even more. “And you, don’t abandon him either. You played a part in creating him so you have to play a part to.”

Jorogumo could drift back to her father’s detachment within her life. Shinigami hadn’t given her anything, Yuki-Onna had at least provided some life lessons before dumping her in the Threshold. She watched the child and wistfulness began to seize a hold of her just as jealousy joined it. This child would have everything she didn’t and part of her would resent him for that.
