Before Alan had the chance to say anything else a small yet well built colt trotted over. Like Alan and herself, he was a unicorn, his ice tipped horn protruding from the middle of his head. The foal's coat was almost completely obsidian, apart from his rump and tail, which appeared to have been dusted in snow.
Though the foal was nice at first glance, there was something a little odd about his rather confident manner; any other foal, especially as young as this one seemed, would have been incredibly nervous to come and talk to two fully grown mares. Arabella was even more shocked at how proudly he announced himself, and snorted at the colt. How incredibly supercilious of him. Had his mother not taught him to show respect to his elders, especially ones he had just met?
She stepped a little closer to the foal, trying to show that she and Alan were superior here. "I," she paused and stretched her neck down, so she could be at head height with the colt "am Arabella" she replied. She stepped back in line with Alan and looked at her, to see what she had to say about the matter, Arabella was sure that she would have no problem speaking her mind.
