Move goddamnit! That is what her mind is screaming. But on the outside, she is still frozen. Her hooves are harshly set into the ground; it felt like someone had poured concrete and was ensnaring her in that one spot. Even her jaw wouldn’t move, wired shut by the sins of her life. She thought herself to have become the bigger one, but apparently she is still no more than a scared mouse. Her eyes are wide, glued upon the sickening event that is about to unfold. Something flashed in the light, unknown to Elsa. It looked to be some sort of weapon-and oh god. She watched in utter glee and terror as it sunk into the flesh of his withers. His own yellowed, rank teeth sink into Oxy, and she wants to look away. Why can’t she! Her mind is screaming at her to move, to do something, but she can’t. You are a coward. Finally, she succumbs. Her neck twists away, avoiding the rest. She just can’t watch. All the thudding of hooves against the ground would usually never bother her, but now, even in the dark of her own mind, she can see it all. The way they are both moving- she knows. This isn’t just a spar anymore, this will end in one certain way: death. Who will walk away from this? The scents of others are speckling her nostrils with interest, but just as she seems to find a distraction, everything comes flooding back. One smells distinctly feline, and she wonders if it’s Beowulf with Mykah, has he come to stop them? As grand as the thought sounds, she knows its impossible. The rest of her friends are tucked away, living in a wonderful, safe, blissful ignorance. Why must growing up be so hard? "Talking" Elsa |
