Romani
The one who answered her call was, in no means of the way, who she had expected to find her upon the entryway to the World's Edge. A large, earthy figure, imposing in stature yet anything but, Romani could hardly believe her eyes when Thor the Gentle Heart ambled into the open and crossed her path. The winged stallion's eyes were just as she remembered; amiable and tender, and just by being beneath the waves of his gaze, Romani felt ten times safer. The weary Haflinger halted in her steps, azure depths assessing her old friend, and a heartfelt smile slowly pulled at the palomino's cracked, dark lips.
"Oh, Thor..." She wouldn't lie; he was quite the sight to behold.
How good it was to see him again. How it filled her aching chest with warmth and familiarity, a strange feeling as of late. For so long she had lost track of everyone that she had once cared for, that she had once loved. Since her relationship with Xanthos had crumbled into disrepair and he had abandoned the Edge, Jasiri's disappearance, and her own, personal exile, Romani had been traveling the world alone with only Kasai as her companion. Crossing paths with Finn, the goodly messenger, and Archibald had been wonderful surprises, but they had been the only two that she had crossed paths with on her journey that she had once known.
"I..." The Gentle Heart's inquiries came quickly, and Romani took a few selfish moments to collect her numb thoughts. Her tongue felt heavy and swollen within her mouth, and her joints and muscles ached something fierce from the journey and the freezing temperatures. "I've been wandering, to tell the truth, but I wasn't expecting this winter to be so brutal. I'm alright... Or I will be, if I can escape this terrible cold." A soft, lethargic chuckle escaped the mare's dark lips. "And how are you, Thor? I've... I've missed you, since you went away." Or did she go away, first? It felt like so long ago, it was hard to tell...
As the bay Goliath lowered his head and regarded Kasai, the striped feline looked upwards at the Pegasus, a croaked, choked purr slowly leaving her throat. Limping a step forward through the snow, Kasai moved to press her whiskered cheek into the soft, velveteen muzzle proffered before her. 'Gently-Thor' Kasai mumbled internally, and her words caused Romani's smile to grow, 'He warm, Roma.'
Romani dipped her head in a nod. "She is happy to see you again as well, Thor. She claims that you're warm. We... We were hoping to take solace from the cold, should the Edge welcome us. Will you escort us into herd boundaries?"
