The flaming birds drew Bucephalus over from his roost at the peak of a large clump of boulders. He glided rather than flew towards the meeting, enjoying the warmth in the air as Birdsong grew stronger. Soon it would be burning, boiling hot. Best to enjoy the comfortable temperatures while it lasted.

He landed with ease on the sand, listening as Gaucho spoke and announced the capture of Hotaru. But the details left him, for once, speechless. Eating bodies? The thought, the image of that... is sickening. He turns to congratulate Ampere, but she beats him to the punch and bursts out in anger at Gaucho. His black ears flick back, a frown crossing his face. "It's not a matter of making a point, but justice." He said to Ampere, wings rustling slightly. "If she truly is guilty of desecrating the dead, there is little worse crime than that, not to mention her attempts on our herd." He said carefully, disgust flickering across his face once again at the thought of someone eating the dead.

"You really think imprisoning someone is worse than said someone eating the bodies of our fallen, trying to kidnap our kin? It is justice, she deserves to be punished for what she has done. Wounds heal, the shame of being captive, put on display for all to see, does not." Buce shifted his weight, glancing to Gaucho. "For whatever reason Gaucho had for taking the spy prisoner, it has been done, and whatever is meant to happen will happen. If horses come for her we will be prepared." Specifically how was a different matter. He, personally, agreed with Ampere on quite a few things. It would be simpler, easier to have beaten the mare in a fight rather than take her hostage, not to mention they would have to spare horses to watch the thief, provide food and water...

The sweet joy of managing all that was now his. Why did he agree again? He pondered that in amusement, although kept his face solemn. Wouldn't do to suddenly snort in laughter at something in his head.
