Your cracked hooves sink in the warm sand with each uncomfortable shift, dull eyes focused on no-one in particular, but falling somewhere around the massive brown heap of what is Gaucho. The stallion makes you tremble at the knees, even though you have never directly spoken to him, but his primitive aura is enough to make you nearly melt into a pile of liquid bones and meat at his heavy hooves. The herd is all around and you're sure that no one notices you blending into the waves of feathers, but you can't help but feel eyes on you from every angle.

Gaucho makes his first announcement as everyone shuffles about, sharing the same recycled air in the warm desert. His out-of-date lingo is still confusing to you, but you stay silent, instead watching the expressions of your herd mates to try and decipher what their thoughts are on the news. The pictures painted in your head are enough to make your stomach roll uncomfortably, but you stay silent and return your attention to the blue-streaked woman with the loud voice. She protested the idea of this prisoner that Gaucho had mentioned, literally getting her feathers all ruffled over the idea.

Quietly you watch the argument spread to the stallion, "Buce," as Gaucho had called him. He tries to validate the point while Gaucho also backs himself up. You can't help but watch Ampere, wondering why she would so strongly dislike holding someone who has been possibly murdering all around Helovia, as a prisoner. Ouija whines from the tangles of your hair, sitting up with her sharp little claws wound into your messy dreads. 'Why?' her voice fills your head, confusion settling into her young mind as the adults bicker before us all.

Still you keep to yourself, reassuring the white fox that business sometimes gets messy, but surely it would all settle... Unless either Ampere or Gaucho looses their temper with the other. Rummy eyes fall on the new stallion who had just been appointed Chancellor; how long had he been here, and what had he done to make such an impact? 'Clearly, more than you ever have. All you do is come and go as you please!' We growl under our breath. In return you sigh, unsure of your future in the desert.
