I looked over all the horse, but one specifically caught my attention. He was large, muscled, with grandiose feathering. His coat was onyx, legs dripping into ivory. But I couldn't wrap my mind around the fact that he was so huge. My gaze slipped from his frame, and moved to another's. A few stood out, an Appaloosa unicorn, a cherry bay with a companion, even those that were simple seemed to stand out. A bay mare with a horn caught my attention next. Her horn was black and she sang. She sang. Why was she singing? I'd only sang in privacy.
Soon, I found myself near the turtle, marveling at its grace. I moved to a mare I had met once briefly, Africa. She was one-winged and that should've made her lose hope. But she prevailed, beautiful and magnificent. I offered her a soft nicker, a greeting. "It's been a while, Africa." I smiled, glad to see her once again. She was kind last time. Would she be kind again? I hoped so.
