Dear Father, - Refering to the sun god, Maren is religious
I write to you today from beneath the shadow of a great black cherry tree. - Follows the religion of Cherry Oak
It's raining lightly, but I am sheltered beneath its leaves. - Maren's passive magic: When shadows drops upon her winged head, in the night or in roofed forests, a shimmering halo appears above her head, leaking small droplets of light.
I suspect that its roots sprawl far beneath the earth, but things aren't always what they seem, are they?
