The Goddess' lips turned upwards - although only at the edges. Her smile was horrifying because of what it signified - something akin to the grinch when he plucked the last crumb away from the small mouse. In turn, that was exactly what she was doing. Ampere was far too shorted sighted, far too dumb to the Goddess' real powers of manipulation, to realize that she had just watched her last shred of hope disappear.

The Goddess had won before Ampere even knew it.

"What test indeed-" She breathed. Her downy wing pulled back from her dark lilac barrel to reveal a small glistening egg. Would she drop it and make Ampere watch as the creature slowly died before her eyes? Would she hurtle it into the sea, and make Ampere valiantly try to save it? Or would she ....

A blackened fog gripped the egg from beneath her wing, holding it on a pillow of shadows. With precarious precision, the fog wafted towards Ampere, allowing the egg to roll back and forth and back and forth - as if the Goddess really was still flirting with the idea of letting it fall.

But no, it would be so much better this way.

For a moment the fog seemed to harden. A clawed hand appeared and began to gently tap on the egg, and then claw at it. "Oh my-" The Goddess began with feigned surprise. "Do you hear that? It looks like someone wants out." The claws began to frivolously scratch at the egg - and yet their incorporeal marks left no traced on the shell. Inside however, a pecking could indeed be heard as a crack began to form in the no-longer pristine shell.

"Help it out, and then let it go about its business on its own. That is your challenge."
