“No more apologies tonight, mpenzi.” Relief flooded through the pale gilded mare. His touch was ever so soft, caressing her and caving her into him for what seemed like the first time ever. It was a serene feeling – finally were things heading in the right direction, finally did she no longer have to tell him no, finally did she no longer have to hide anything from him, finally could she finally spend the rest of her life with the man she thought of when she closed her eyes every night. Rexanna smiled into his touch, despite his slight herding toward the water.
Of course, she obliged, tiptoeing along with him toward the lakes Edge, the aurora billowing and bursting from the sky and the stars above the mountain peaks – oh how she’d miss this place. She knelt as he did, laying in his gentle embrace as he wrapped himself around her. The rumble of his words ever so gentle as he questioned her of the Laurelin, yet his answer wasn’t exactly what she wanted. Her ears wavered in uncertainty, but she followed through with the idea that the night would be theirs, and that she didn’t need to worry about anything else for the rest of the night.
She simply nodded to him, the smile curving up the corners of her lips as her oceanic gaze drifted across the land she called her home. “Yes, it is.” She agreed, settling into him a little further, leaning back to look upon the sky. Despite spending this time with Tembovu, she still had a job to do at the Festival. Her head lifted an gilded horn pointed toward the sky as she focused her magic – a soft glow began at the tip until fireworks erupted from her horn toward the sky, reaching what appeared to be the beautiful blanket of colors before exploding further and dancing down in trails of red, oranges, and golds. Oh what a beautiful night it was to be alive.
