Broad, but ever so kind smile remained and never faded from the crimson female's face. It felt much like home, here in her presence. No, perhaps not home. More like an aunt's welcoming house when one must be taken care of while parents have taken leave. A comforting, familiar presence that soothed and brightened the cinnamon spotted princess. Perhaps this was what separated Svetlana and Romani, so similar yet the difference had been discovered. Had it? Nayati was only further confused by her thoughts, and felt rather helpless and small relying on this beautiful woman.

Bright azure eyes, the color of the sky that Nayati had yet to see in her youth, were infinitely different from the glittering charcoal of Svetlana. So many differences, but they shared the same loving heart. Affectionate nickname made Nayati feel shy and treasured, smiling delicately up at Romani. "Okay..." whispering as if afraid speaking normally would make Romani's image crack and crumble away into nothing. Either way, that didn't happen, the palomino folding her legs and lowering herself to the earth beside Nayati. It was shocking sometimes to discover how small she was, and hardly came to her chin even as her body touched the earth.

Lightly colored muzzle motion towards her side and Nayati wobbled forward on aching, trembling legs. Now that Romani had pointed it out, a deep exhaustion born of wild crashing and running had taken over her. Her awkward thin legs did not fold as delicately and gracefully as Romani's, but the doll was much too tired to even consider trying to impress her. The babe still had troubles with walking, after all. "Roma? You talk to Nayati? Before sleep." Remembering Svetlana's stories that would lull her softly into dreamland, always awakening with a sense of peace she only experienced by her side.

the rose shadows said that they loved the sun, but they also loved the dark, 
where their roots grew through the lightless mystery of the earth. the roses said: you do not have to choose.
